Casting: perfection. Characters: complicated and endearing. Plot: meandering in a good way melding antiquated and contemporary with humour. Writing: skilled. The directing as it should, brings everything together in this wonderful new show.

Like how each clue leads to another and good old police work and digging finds more evidence. The Uk seems to have an unlimited supply of amazing actors. Even the small rolls the actor manages to create a memorable character. This Vera character is motherly, great detective, thoughtful, hard working, and always thinking all thanks to Brenda's acting skill.
