Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Ignore the critics
Hello there! The show is great, with a good story and intriguing character development. Ewan McGregor is beyond amazing, and I almost shed tear during some his peak Obi-Wan moments. You'll know them when you see them.
Don't listen to the critics. It didn't turn out good for anyone, the last time people listened to the critics. They're just loud, incoherent and obnoxious. Let's agree to ignore them this to, so that this story can have a continuation.
Because we fans want to see this story grow. More please. Thank you!
Blown Away: Christmas (2021)
Bad production
From the 1st episode you could see, that Blown Away: Christmas was produced to have a fixed winner. The production team did everything they could to make their preferred contestant win.
It was awful and unbecoming of an a show that has made 2 good season so far.
I'm reluctant to watch the next season that comes out.
Dune (2021)
Good movie, but too much studio interference
I liked the movie, and it really captured me for the entire runtime. It was bold in a lot of ways, but over all a good adaption of the story.
However, I do feel that movie left out so many important details and a lot of information, which made the plot feel rushed. What makes the book and the following book sequels amazing is the attention to detail, and the depth in which everything is described, be it culture, history or characters. This leaves you with a very watered-down story, as truly important parts of the book, taking several chapters, is boiled down to a few minutes of screen time.
It's clear that the studio wanted to attract a more general audience than just those who've read the book, which I ultimately feel takes so much away from the story.
I hope there's a extended cut out there for the book fans.
Kevin Hart: Don't F**k This Up (2019)
Kevin Hart is "sorry"
Executive producer Kevin Hart wants you to spend your time watching his explanation (not apology) to why he to act like dumb. In short this is a 3-hour explanation to why Kevin Hart thinks he is ALLOWED to act like a idiot, because of his background and the things he does behind the scenes. In my opinion, this is Kevin wasting everyone's time because he feels entitled, and Netflix cashing in on his brand.
Shame.
Happy! (2017)
Worth it!
Pure creativity, with an unapologetic, fantastic and uncompromising approach to storytelling.
The writing unleashes madness on you with a story, that when all is said and done, you completely understand.
The casting is glorious and the actors supplement each other perfectly. Especially Meloni, Coster and Fitzgerald make this show something unique, special and totally worth it!
The Umbrella Academy (2019)
A show that reminds you to embrace your quirkiness
A show that highlights diversity and connecting through your differences, while celebrating that we are all children, messed up by our pasts, trying to find our way in a crazy world.
