Breaking Bad (2008–2013)
10/10
Just beautiful
25 August 2021
I recently re-watched this and it was even better than I remembered

Bryan and Aaron are phenomenal actors who work so well together. These guys have amazing chemistry! (pun intended) The rest of the cast is great as well and they really put their all into their performances

On top of being an existing, interesting and surprisingly informative show, Breaking Bad has many well rounded characters Walter White's downfall is fascinating to follow as he turns more and more into a power-hungry drug lord and ends up destroying everything and everyone around him

Breaking Bad never fails to give me chills with its dramatic turns This show is an experience for sure. Long live Heisenberg!

Green Eggs and Ham (2019–2022)

A Plesant Surprise
2 December 2019
I went into Green Eggs and Ham because IT.WAS.EVERYWHERE. Everyone said it's really good and eventually I gave in because it looked like something I might like. Even tho I came in with not many expectations, I left very satisfied and happy. I loved the show.

This series has absolutely gorgeous visuals. The animation is unique and high quality. I like how wacky and cute it looks. All the facial expressions and over-exaggerated movements really brought the world to life. The character designs were something I got used to. Don't get me wrong, they are super adorable but not really my taste (never really been a fan of Dr.Seuss' work). The world was very interesting too. I like how they just went with all the cartoon logic machines and weird creatures.

Good voice acting makes good characters. You can really tell that the actors were giving their all to the performance and they totally nailed it. All the characters had a distinguishable voice, speech pattern and vocabulary.

The story was enjoyable to follow. I really got sucked into it after the first episode. The foreshadowing and plot twists were great. They weren't too predictable and they made sense as they came. Every character was unique and fun in their own ways. I was rooting for pretty much everybody except Goat and Snerz

I hope this gets another season :)))

Big Mouth (2017–2024)

Like an awesome nightmare

Big Mouth is a great show about the things that I want to forget about my time growing up The characters are very different from each other and they all bring a unique perspective on puberty

Season 1 was a bit of a weak start but it did its job. I was entertained but it wasn't anything special Season 2 is my personal favorite of the seasons so far. The theme is interesting and consistent. I like the focus on Andrew and his shame. Season 2 has great music and intriguing drama Season 3 was like a better version of season 1. It kinda went on episode by episode without having any major underlying plot (which would've made it better)

All in all, Big Mouth is a great show and it captured me with season 2. I hope to see these silly little weirdos soon for season 4

Cute and Cuddly

Warning: Spoilers
While I do think that The Penguins work better in a series of short episodes, I did enjoy this movie a lot. It does a lot of things right that the TV series didn't

One thing that I didn't like so much in this was the amount of new characters. DreamWorks has this weird habit of adding way too many characters with the already existing ones. This makes the characters seem 2 dimensional, boring, not fleshed out

The North Wind wasn't the worst cast of characters. They fit in with the plot, they help with progression and the message of the film. But compared to the penguins, they seem bland and just a tool to get the story going

I love the visuals in this film! Everything looks so good! The characters all fit well in the environment. Their designs look like they're from the same world. The backgrounds are beautiful and detailed, the colors are bright and the animation is smooth and brings the characters to life. I especially like how they made the penguins more distinguishable (like in the TV show). Rico even got a completely new design that really suits his character

One of my favorite scenes visually is when the penguins fall off the plane. The camera angles/movement bring excitement and action to the scene. It really keeps you on your toes

The plot was mediocre but it had a lot of great moments some of which were a bit too cheesy for my taste but cute nonetheless. I love that the movie focused on Private trying to impress the others to show that he is an important part of the team as well. A very emotional scene is when Skipper hands over his leadership to The North Wind to save Private. It is a scene that everybody should see. The expressions and reactions of the characters make it. It really does pull on your heartstrings when you (for example) see Rico almost crying

I still listen to the soundtrack from this film. The main theme and Private's theme are awesome pieces of art as well as the rest. A memorable soundtrack keeps me interested for years and I re-watch the movie just to feel the full impact of all the best scenes The sound in general is excellent in this film. All the voice actors did a great job and I love how many of the characters have accents. It makes them more recognizable and fun

This movie could've been a lot better but I'm still very happy with how it turned out. I came to the theater to see the penguins and I saw the penguins so I'm more than satisfied

What an absolute banger!

Yet another series I had to watch again as an adult to really enjoy. I've always been a huge fan of these penguins and the wacky shenanigans they get into. Actually since I first saw them in the first Madagascar movie.

I think The Penguins of Madagascar work perfectly as a series of short episodes because they are pretty quick and straight to the point dudes.

I'm not crazy about the animation and visuals. The coloring is a little flat and not very interesting. The animation is pretty good by early 2000s standards but there isn't any moments that make you go "wow". I still do like the choreography in many fight scenes. They use chain reactions very well and smoothly.

Voice acting is something that always seals the deal for me on a good show. Each character has a recognizeble voice, accent and/or a speech pattern. I like how they use accents in general in the Madagascar series. The most memorable cartoon characters have a unique voice that everyone recognizes. It like a trademark.

This series has simple and nice plots for each episode. Like I said before. The Penguins of Madagascar are not meant for the big screen (in my opinion). They work better as short missions in each episode. The plot structure in each episode is easy to follow, fun and many of them have plot twists which some of are very predictable (for adults). This doesn't take away from the fun though so it isn't a problem for me.

Character dynamics in this show are also fun. I like how the Penguins are very different from each other. Their dynamic doesn't get boring because there is always someone who doesn't agree or at least not immediately.

All in all, I love The Penguins of Madagascar and I always will. I miss these mofos and I wanna see them in action again. The 2014 movie was something but like I said before. Not meant for the big screen.

One of my favorite shows of all time!

Family Guy: Dog Bites Bear (2018)
Season 16, Episode 11

Emotional
21 February 2019
I always like seeing Brian and Stewie together. This episode showed how sweet Brian can be, even tho he is a deuce sometimes. The side story with Peter brought balance into this episode BUT I would've like this more if it was more like the "Road to" episode which mainly focus on Brian and Stewie.

I actually cried at the end. This may sound a bit stupid but I physically felt the ending. It really hit where it needed to hit me and I get that feeling very rarely nowadays.

❤ Very heartwarming ❤
