Inside Noah's Ark
Inside Noah’s Ark sounds a timely warning — that humans, out of greed, need and ignorance — are blindly destroying the last of Africa’s great wildlife, leaving only “islands of conservationâ€, frozen in time and place for our children.
Emmy-award winning Canadian TV film-maker Tim Knight took more than three years to produce this fascinating and deeply disturbing reality wildlife trilogy in South Africa’s Pilanesberg National Park and Tswalu Kalahari Reserve.
Inside Noah's Ark's three hours tell the stories of how — to preserve the last, threatened remnants of African wildlife — reserves are no longer truly wild but have been turned into giant zoos, huge ranches where the animals are managed like cattle.
“Riveting stuff, often great in its expansive way as it documents the ticking of the clock in South Africa as ecologists battle to save a whole range of endangered wild life. Legendary producer Tim Knight certainly knows how to tell a story in striking visual terms.â€ Jim Bawden, Toronto Star TV Critic
“You've a fantastic film here. Glorious overall and often stunning. Simply as a viewer, I enjoyed the hell out of the hour. Huzzah! Amazing scenes and footage. The principal figure, van Dyk, has real star qualities, as promised. The storytelling and structure is — no surprise here — superb and engrossing for the viewer.â€ Alan Foster, President, Executive Program Services(U.S. Programme Distributor).
“Congratulations are certainly in order — you are a legend, man! If I'd known you were so damned good … Truth is, you've crafted a great story and 3 hours of eminently watchable TV.â€ Bruce Cowley, Director of Programming, Animal Planet/Discovery Channel Canada.
Director of Photography, co-Producer and co-Director is international award-winning wildlife cameraman, Russell Belter. Host is one of the world’s great predator and re-wilding experts, Gus van Dyk.
