LOVED IT! One of those ones where your mouth hangs open in disbelief half the time. 100% oddball, weird, funny, outrageous and awesome. Has Sam Rockwell ever not been great in a movie? Marvel afterwards at all the hate-reviews by people who apparently thought the crazy sci-fi movie parts were unintentionally low-budget-looking and incompetent. As if it wasn't meant to be silly. It seems to have gone way over a lot of peoples' heads, which was very surprising. (Something to be learnt/studied there. A lot of people mistakenly assumed they're way smarter than the movie.)

This and Radio Free Albemuth seem to me to be about a similar phenomenon, the founding of religions. At least, what happens in them is the same thing that took place for the founders of existing religions - someone underwent unusual experiences, and came out of them with a unique set of beliefs - a new and unique religion. (I'm talking more about PK Dick's VALIS writings and later beliefs than the exact plot of RFA, although there is a lot of overlap, like 90%)

Rich, strange, fabulous doco (no narrator) about Jamaica, Rastafarianism, reggae..... I think it was meant to be about Bob Marley but it widens to include anything worth including, to the point where most of the film is stuff you wouldn't see in any other. Because it would be edited out or not considered relevant, or something that "goes without seeing".
