Since the '90s Murphy has created TV shows and films with a dual purpose - to entertain, of course, and to exercise his commitment to minority representation in mainstream media. His most recent project is Pose (2018), set in the NYC ball scene of the late '80s, and it stars the largest cast of transgender actors ever.
