Any Female Directors I've Seen At All

2% of Hollywood Directors are women. I've seen movies made by these women. Almost all the rest of the movies I've ever seen were directed by men. Several IMDB lists of greatest directors are all men. 25 in a row without one woman even though Kathryn Bigelow's Hurt Locker won best film 2008 and Zero Dark Thirty was nominated in 2013. -Men are awesome directors and I love their movies but Hollywood can be a good ole boys club with a porous glass ceiling where it's not impossible for a woman to succeed, but exceptionally difficult. -As a society, we need stories from different perspectives. Directors cannot direct objectively; which is awesome. Scorsese shows us Little Italy in New York City. -But if the overwhelming majority of content creators continue to be white men(it is an overwhelming majority), then we are bereft of alternative perspectives. I'm not saying fewer white male directors. I'm saying more everyone else at the top of the storytelling pyramid. We live in an abundant universe. -The playing field is not equal and it does matter. It can be changed by the slight shift in attitude by billions of people.
