Game of Thrones - Season 7 Review

This season got a lot of hate towards the end, but I think that's the consequence of a shortened season and thus an extremely faster pace. You have to take the travel time with a pinch of salt and although there are some plot contrivances the writers have done a good job of picking up where George R. R. Martin left off. The end of episode 4 was one of the finest sequences this show has had and episode 6 was excellent, cinematic stuff as well. Sure there were some slight logical issues but overall it worked for me and the show delivered in spectacle for what it may have lacked in writing. The Winterfell scenes in that episode were irritating but I knew they would pay-off in the finale, which was a great set-up for the final season. I definitely think the pressure to deliver, leaks and predictions hurt this season, but I feel like everything beforehand was build-up for the fast-paced, action-packed episodes we got here.
