Nothing gold can stay, and to make room for everything new at Hulu in November, we have to say goodbye to dozens of the series and movies on the platform. The streamer will make room for its upcoming Christmas library by losing some of its horror-themed titles throughout the month, including “Stephen King's It,” most of its “Saw” franchise, and “Shaun Of The Dead.” Other major titles leaving the platform include Emma Stone’s breakthrough comedy “Easy A,” the Nora Ephron classic “Sleeping in Seattle,” and more.

HBO Max announced that an "It" prequel series titled "Welcome to Derry" was in the works on March 29, 2022, and officially gave it the green light on Feb. 23. The series, inspired by Stephen King's horror classic, will explore life in Derry leading up to Pennywise's tirade on the Losers Club before the razor-toothed killer clown's misdeeds led Georgie to his unfortunate fate in that rainy sewer drain.

It’s hard to believe that classic sitcom Sister, Sister was once on the chopping block. It could have easily fizzled out when the show got axed by ABC after two seasons in 1995. The comedy that launched the careers of Tia and Tamera Mowry started in the Tgif lineup before being shuffled along. A new network called The WB would save the series. Execs saw something in the story of twins separated at birth and reunited after 14 years alongside their adoptive parents Lisa Landry (Jackée Harry) and Ray Campbell (Tim Reid). Now Tamera Mowry-Housley, who these days is married with children of her own, remembers how daunting it felt as a teenager starring on the show. The comedy went on to have 119 episodes over the course of six seasons. Not to mention multiple Kids’ Choice and NAACP Image Awards. ©Paramount Television/Courtesy Everett Collection “I feel so honored and blessed to have had that opportunity,...

Tamera Mowry-Housley would love to give “Sister, Sister” fans the revival they’ve been calling for, but it has to be the right idea.
During an appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show”, the actress shared that she and her twin sister, Tia Mowry, have been approached with pitches to reprise their roles, but nothing has been right for them.
“Here’s the thing, Tia and I are both just booked, which is a great problem to have,” the actress began when asked whether something was in the works. “The other thing is, we have to make sure the idea is amazing because ‘Sister, Sister’ is iconic! I don’t want it to be lame.”
When Hudson stated that any revival with the sisters involved wouldn’t be lame, Tamera revealed that the duo has already heard some ideas and “it was not it — it wasn’t right.”
But there’s still hope!

Screambox original documentary Pennywise: The Story of It uncovered a wealth of insight into the 1990 Stephen King adaptation. Five years of work from co-directors John Campopiano (Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary) and Christopher Griffiths (Leviathan: The Story of Hellraiser) paid untold dividends for horror fans.
With exclusive interviews with many of the miniseries’ key players – Pennywise himself, Tim Curry, cast members Richard Thomas, Seth Green, Tim Reid, and Emily Perkins, director Tommy Lee Wallace, writer Lawrence D. Cohen, special effects makeup artist Bart Mixon, and more – along with rare materials and never-before-seen footage, even the most knowledgeable viewers will learn a thing or two.
Here are six things I learned from Pennywise: The Story of It.
1. George A. Romero was originally attached to direct.
King and George A. Romero were fans of one another’s output, which ultimately led to their friendship and several collaborations, but both wanted to work together more.

Howard Hesseman, the veteran actor known for starring in sitcoms “Wkrp in Cincinnati” and “Head of the Class,” died Jan. 29 at the age of 81. The actor is remembered here by his friend and fellow “Wkrp” star, actor-director Tim Reid.
I first met Howard Hesseman at a cast meeting before we shot the pilot for “Wkrp in Cincinnati.” The first thing I had to do was admit that I’d lifted something from him years back.
Back in the early 1970s, I was one-half of a Black and white comedy duo with Tom Dreesen. The concept for our signature routine was borrowed — Ok, lifted — from a very funny sketch that Hesseman had been a part of years before with his improv troupe, The Committee. It was a bit about teaching one of their white members how to be Black. Today it would be politically incorrect for sure. Tom and I took...

Frank Bonner, the veteran actor who became famous for portraying Herb Tarlek on the TV sitcom “WKRP in Cincinnati,” died Wednesday. He was 79.
Bonner’s family confirmed to TMZ that the actor died as a result of complications from Lewy body dementia.
Desiree Boers-Kort, Bonner’s daughter, posted in a “WKRP In Cincinnati” Facebook group, saying that the actor “loved his fans and was still signing autograph requests up until the last few weeks of his illness. Thank you to all who followed his career. He will be forever missed."
Bonner appeared in 88 of the 90 episodes of “WKRP in Cincinnati,” which aired for four seasons from 1978-82. He also directed six episodes of the sitcom, which followed the misadventures of the staff of a struggling rock radio station in Cincinnati. Bonner’s character was a tasteless sales manager at the station who often failed to secure deals with major advertising agencies.

Frank Bonner, the actor who played radio-station sales manager Herb Tarlek on “Wkrp in Cincinnati” died on Wednesday, his friend and former co-star Gary Sandy has confirmed. He was 79.
“It Is True!” Sandy posted to Facebook. “Rip My Great Friend!!!”
TMZ first reported on Thursday that Bonner died “a result of complications from Lewy body dementia.” His family told the outlet that Bonner died “peacefully” with loved ones present.
“Wkrp in Cincinnati” aired from 1978 to 1982, with Bonner starring on all four seasons as the brash and ineffectual sales manager Herb Tarlek. The rest of the cast on the ensemble sitcom included Sandy, Howard Hesseman, Gordon Jump, Loni Anderson, Tim Reid, Jan Smithers and Richard Sanders.
The show returned as “The New Wkrp in Cincinnati” in the early ’90s, and Bonner returned to reprise his role. Between the two iterations, Bonner played Father Robert Hargis in the “Growing Pains” spinoff series “Just the Ten of Us.

Chicago – On November 18th, 2020, the streaming service HBO Max premiered “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion.” 30 years after the popular sitcom debuted, the primary cast got together to talk about the joys and foibles of developing family ties while creating and performing their characters in the show. Among the reunited cast was Will Smith (Will), Alfonso Riberiro (Carlton), Tatyana Ali (Ashley), Karyn Parsons (Hilary), Jazz (DJ Jazzy Jeff) along with the actress who portrayed Aunt Vivian, Daphne Maxwell Reid.
Reid was the second Aunt Vivian cast on the show. Janet Hubert was the first, and left the show under tremendous stress and personal issues, which was highlighted rather poignantly on the reunion show, when her and Will Smith met to work out those issues that led to the recasting. Regardless, Daphne Maxwell Reid steered the character to the end of the show in 1996, and did one more episode (75) as Aunt Vivian than Hubert.

The formula worked with Jana Kramer and Brandon Quinn giving us more than just your traditional lovable but cheesy leads.
It was about veterans and active soldiers, and it felt as if the movie did them justice in their portrayal by centering their service and touching upon the sacrifices and effects. And they did this without once feeling gimmicky.

Own has reversed its decision to renew the drama “Love Is__,” less than a month after co-creator Salim Akil was first accused of domestic violence by a former girlfriend.
“Own has decided not to move forward with the second season of ‘Love Is __,'” the network said in a statement. “The TV memoir was inspired by the real-life love story of producers Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil.”

“Own has decided not to move forward with the second season of ‘Love Is __,'” the network said in a statement. “The TV memoir was inspired by the real-life love story of producers Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil.”
The network’s move to scrap the series is said to be unrelated to the abuse allegation or the subsequent Warner Bros. inquiry, but it comes months after the network first announced that it had renewed the show, co-created by Akil and his wife and producing partner Mara Brock Akil, for a second season.

The force is strong with Nick Nolte: The actor — who recently headlined the Epix drama Graves — has joined Disney’s forthcoming Star Wars streaming series The Mandalorian, our sister site Variety reports.
As previously revealed by executive producer Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian — the title of which references a legendary tribe of warriors in Star Wars canon — will follow a “lone gunfighter” (played by Narcos‘ Pedro Pascal) who becomes part of the Star Wars universe “after the stories of Jango and Boba Fett.”
Nolte’s role is being kept under wraps.
