Fox has cancelled Riot, their new comedy improv series, after four episodes.
Hosted by Rove McManus, Riot is an unscripted show that pairs guest celebrities with a group of regular players for comedy song, dance, and sketch challenges. The regulars are John Ross Bowie, Jamie Denbo, Brian Palermo, Jordan Black, Jessica McKenna, Meryl Hathaway and Rob Gleeson.
The show debuted in mid-May to a dismal 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.34 million viewers. The numbers have gone up and down since then but have all been terrible.
The network has pulled the show from the schedule effective immediately, along with I Wanna Marry "Harry". The four remaining episodes may surface at some point in the future but there are currently no plans. Reruns of Fox comedies will fill the timeslot for the time being.

I think it’s safe to say that Steve Carell is a master of physical comedy. This is the man who famously once waxed his chest hair on the big screen. So it makes sense that The Office star is an executive producer and one of the first celebrity guests on Riot, a new extreme game show premiering tonight on Fox.
“I have no idea what I’m getting myself into,” Carell jokingly told EW before filming alongside his Office co-star Andy Buckley. The show is based on the international hit franchise Slide Show and puts two teams of celebrities...

You know Buffy was a vampire slayer, but do you know who will play Disney’s monster hunter? We do!
The upcoming project from the Mouse is a Disney Channel Original Movie called Girl Vs. Monster and Deadline just recently revealed the network’s casting decisions.
Watch your back Teen Wolf, this picture will follow a young lady who discovers “the eve of Halloween” that she belongs to a family of slayers, if you will (my word, not theirs). But with any true calling comes obstacles, and hers are out to kill her before she can realize her place.
Olivia Holt is the TV movie’s star. You may recognize her from Disney Xd’s Kickin’ It where she displayed grand prowess in the arenas of gymnastics and martial arts.
Ready to meet the rest of the cast? They are Jennifer Aspen as her mother and Brian Palermo of The Social Network as her father.

Love Shack is a gleeful, slick faux documentary in the grand tradition of Best in Show and This Is Spinal Tap – except instead of dog shows or hair bands, this flick takes aim at the porn industry. Directed by Gregg Saccon and Michael B. Silver, it's a decidedly goofy, gay-inclusive, PG-13-appropriate take on the making of a "legacy" porn flick.
A cast of commentators, including former porn stars, a "professional" porn historian and a VH1 "I Love the 80s" style snarkmeister begin the picture, detailing the life of recently deceased "Mo Saltzman" (Ian Gomez), a beloved and wildly successful porn producer with 40 years of "commercially and artistically successful" films under his belt.
Mo has left an artistic legacy, according to the "academic" commentator, an empire according to Mr. Snark, and a loving, non-traditional family, according to his many stars. Now in their 50s and 60s, former performers recall their...

If you haven't checked out In Gayle We Trust yet, I really suggest you do. The offbeat snippets about the incredibly perky insurance saleswoman are great examples of how to work the webseries genre. Another episode is hitting tomorrow, and I have a couple of special treats while you wait. First, an interview with the show's star, Elisa Donovan. Second, I have a giveaway, and one lucky winner will receive an signed copy of the script. The script is signed by Elisa Donovan, Brian Palermo (who plays Gayle's husband), and writer/director Brent Forrester. There are eight episodes available already, and the show's site also gives you a lot of extras in the way of behind-the-scenes clips and interviews. Nia Vardalos is back into the Greek theme again. The actress had a success with "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" produced by Tom Hanks' Playtone company back in 2002. This lead to the failing "My BIg Fat Greek Life" series which spawned out seven episodes. She followed that with the unnoticable "Connie and Carla" opposite the talented Toni Collette as well as David Duchovny. Now, she returns to what churned out success for her in the first place...culture comedy concerning Greeks. She stars with....Richard Dreyfus? I haven't seen his name so up in the limelight for a while. Also forming the main cast are Harland Williams, Rachel Dratch, María Botto, Alexis Georgoulis, Caroline Goodall, Sophie Stuckey and Brian Palermo.
