As Kate Middleton battles a cancer diagnosis, Prince William has reportedly remained by her side. Throughout their almost 13-year marriage, the Prince and Princess of Wales have remained a united front. To this, William has effectively broken a “massive” royal cycle of “thoughtless and selfish behavior” among royal husbands, claims a royal correspondent.
Prince William is indeed the ‘brave’ prince, says royal commentator
Daniela Elser of News.com.au reports that Prince William has indeed become the “brave” prince as Kate Middleton battles cancer. He has been a source of strength for his wife as she recovered from abdominal surgery. And endured a course of preventative chemotherapy.
Elser writes, “To wit: the 41-year-old has actually, without anyone quite noticing, just done something that the previous 22 Princes of Wales’ have bluntly failed at or refused to do. He has not been a massive, thoughtless, selfish d******* to his wife.”
The commentator elaborated further.

“It’s just realistic,” he told The New Yorker. “There’s no such thing as monogamy with men.”
Despite having an open marriage, RuPaul said he doesn’t step outside of his relationship that often. He added, “I meet new people, but like, socially, do I go out to dinner with people, or meet someone and say, ‘Hey, let’s go on a hike’? Very rarely.”
RuPaul added that there’s no longer “a circle of people that I can sort of rely on” for intimacy.
RuPaul noted that his fame has prevented him from having the type of fun that he would in the past.

Lebanon is a completely f**ed up country and has been for many years, with local cinema, either in the form of features or documentaries, presenting the fact in the most eloquent fashion. Myriam El Hajj also moves in the same path, through a docudrama implementing the form of three video diaries, which narrates four tumultuous years in the recent history of the nation, starting with 2018.
Diaries from Lebanon is screening at Berlin International Film Festival
The three arcs revolve around three individuals and two events. Joumana is a feminist writer, poet and activist, who, in 2018 ran in the elections for the Lebanese parliament, eventually managing to be elected. In the Lebanese system, however, such events are not to be tolerated, with her being fraudulently ousted the very next day, leaving her supporters furious, with her arc showing how she fared after the whole endeavor. Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Hangar is no stranger to events both starry and stylish, and on Sunday, Jan. 14, the 2024 Critics Choice Awards joined that list, offering up a plethora of high fashion amid the trophies determined by the voting body consisting of digital, print and broadcast journalists.
A variety of fashion trends carried over from the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, notably in the crimson-hued dresses worn by Dua Lipa, Abby Elliott and others. Rose details, seen on the custom Balmain gown worn by Margot Robbie, as well as with the rosettes that cascaded down the shoulder of Emily Blunt’s Giorgio Armani Privé gown were also notable. New trends that emerged at the 29th Critics Choice Awards included black as the dominant color in gowns, such as Angela Bassett’s Pamella Roland design or best actress winner Emma Stone’s custom Louis Vuitton. But voluminous white looks also ruled the carpet,...

As Hollywood actors and writers remain on strike, some headed east, all the way to Venice to join in the always glamorous Biennale Cinema 2023, also known as the Venice International Film Festival. Now in its 80th year, the festival is always a heady melange of fascinating movies making their world premieres, all mixed in with haute couture fashion, both on the red carpet and at annual fetes given by the world’s top labels.
And while many of the red-carpet moments are, sadly, happening without the A-list actors attending (as they honor their union’s strike), this year’s festival still brought its A game to the fashion scene, and independent productions that secured an interim agreement saw the likes of Adam Driver, Jessica Chastain and Cailee Spaeny able to celebrate the premieres of their films in Venice while still on strike.

During Paris Fashion Week, Christine Quinn dressed in a bold ensemble for the Georges Hobeika show.
In a sheer dress with purple, blue, and silver crystal embellishments that revealed a glimpse of her strappy Jimmy Choo heels, Christine Quinn made a spectacular entrance at the Georges Hobeika couture autumn 2023 fashion show in Paris on Monday.
Quinn paired the eye-catching dress, which had a gray ombré high-low design, with Quinn’s last look, a wide-leg mint pair of trousers with a white quilted jacket on top, which she wore to the Patou presentation during Paris Couture Week.
She accessorized her outfit with a little black frame handbag and long, mermaid-like waves. The real estate star opted for a vampy nude lip, fluttery lashes, smoked-out eyeshadow, and wearing her signature loose, flowing tresses down in mermaid-like waves.

For those familiar with Gerard Depardieu‘s stellar career, it would be fair to say he’s carved out a reputation as one of continental Europe’s finest-ever actors. The stage and screen veteran’s mere presence is one of the few things Robust has going for it, saving this comedy-drama (questionable claims in themselves) from obscurity.
Robuste – to give it its French title, and if you’re bothered about the extra letter – constantly meanders and never truly comes to life. It threatens to pick up around 30 minutes in, but in doing so flatters to deceive. All in all, a disappointing debut feature from filmmaker Constance Meyer.

Welcome to Deadline’s International Disruptors, a feature where we’ll shine a spotlight on key executives and companies outside of the U.S. who are shaking up the offshore marketplace. This week, we’re speaking with Memento Films International founder Emilie Georges and producer Naima Abed about their company Paradise City, its slate and why now is the time to move into the management and branded content spheres.
Eight years ago, Emilie Georges’ Memento Films International and its production arm La Cinéfacture quietly launched Paradise City, a specialty label for the outfit, with respected producer Naima Abed helping curate the slate. While the banner co-financed and co-produced a number of genre titles including Jim Mickle’s 2013 Sundance hit We Are What We Are, it was only when the duo worked on Luca Guadagnino’s 2017 Oscar-nominated hit Call Me By Your Name that Georges and Abed began to think about...

Michael Haneke’s most intimate film in nearly a quarter-century, “Amour” relates the tragic final months in a relationship with at least six decades’ worth of history, as a concerned French husband cares for his increasingly irritable wife in the wake of two debilitating strokes. Considering Haneke’s confrontational past, this poignantly acted, uncommonly tender two-hander makes a doubly powerful statement about man’s capacity for dignity and sensitivity when confronted with the inevitable cruelty of nature. Acquired by Sony Pictures Classics before Cannes, this autumnal heart-breaker should serve arthouse-goers well — not for first dates, but for those who’ve long since lost count.
With the exception of a single early scene in which retired music teachers Georges (Jean-Louis Trintignant) and Anne (Emmanuelle Riva) attend the concert of a former pupil, “Amour” takes place entirely within the protective cocoon of their Parisian apartment, where the couple lives comfortably surrounded by books,...
