Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming app Max changed its name Tuesday, dropping the “HBO” from HBO Max when it merged with Discovery+. But as an eagle-eyed viewer discovered later in the day, it also changed how basic details about a film are listed. And movie fans are very displeased.
On Tuesday night, film commentator (and Twitter power user) John Frankensteiner shared a screengrab of the details section from the landing page for the film “Raging Bull,” as it currently appears on Max.
While the film’s principle actors are listed under “starring,” director Martin Scorsese, writers Paul Schrader and Mardik Martin, and producers Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff, are lumped together under a single listing: “Creators.” Included with them are Peter Savage, author of the book that inspired the film, and boxer Jake Lamotta whose life is depicted in it. Their individual roles are not differentiated.

Criterion Collection
Four Netflix titles will be released on Blu-ray through the Criterion Collection — Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman,” Noah Baumbach’s “Marriage Story,” documentary “American Factory” and Mati Diop’s “Atlantics.”

*full disclosure: a DVD copy of this title was won in a contest from the horror website Igorslab.com. Director: A.D. Calvo. Writers: Alyssa Alexander, A.D. Calvo, Nevada Grey and Scott Kittredge. Cast: Inbar Lavi, Steven Grayhm, Eddie Hassell, Holland Roden and John Lee Ames. This viewer has seen a number of Argentinian director A.D. Calvo's works. From The Other Side of the Tracks (2008) to the Melancholy Fantastic (2011), this director has had an up and down career, in this critic's opinion. His latest is a haunted asylum thriller, titled House of Dust. Taking a page from Brad Anderson's Session 9 (2001) or the more recent Psych: 9 (2009), several characters find murder in a mental institution. However, this incarnation is nowhere near as interesting as the other two titles mentioned. Instead, House of Dust is a trivial affair and the film is full of filler, in both the story and shooting department.

Hopefully Fox picks up Alcatraz for a second season because the two-hour season finale left viewers with plenty of new questions — and one possible major death.
In the season ender, Rebecca (Sarah Jones) finally came face-to-face with her grandfather, Tommy (David Hoflin), who is apparently one of the lieutenants on the side of the '63s faction who work for the Warden (Jonny Coyne). The other side is lead by Harlan (Steven Grayhm), and possibly Matt Craven's mysterious man (whom we'll call Mm throughout the story since he has no name) behind the door. What are their ultimate goals? Still not completely clear, but we do have a new theory. Why were they divided? Somebody broke a promise. Let's first take a look at the season-long mysteries that were answered, then dive into the new questions that the finale raised:

In present-day San Francisco, a sharply-dressed, if anachronistic man walks into a bank, and inquires about visiting his safety deposit box. Flirtatiously, the teller leads him to the vault, where the two get down to dirty business, before the man pulls out a syringe and drugs the woman unconscious. A.D. Calvo is quickly making a name for himself as an important new figure in horror. His strange, mental illness film The Melancholy Fantastic certainly caught our attention with its May-esque vibe and almost Lynchian oddness and his insane sounding Snow White project sounds totally intriguing.
But it seems that Snow White was put on hold for another project called House of Dust. Knowing Calvo, I'd hate to call this a "teen horror," but the young cast play students who so find themselves in a heap of supernatural trouble.
The production has shared the first stills from the film that's currently filming, so it's our first look at the cast.

Matt Dallas (Kyle Xy) actor-writer-director Steven Grayhm and Twilight’s Charlie Bewley are teaming up on a films titled Thunder Road. THR reports that the story "explores the difficulties many U.S. soldiers face upon their return to civilian life from active duty in Afghanistan."
Here is what Dallas had to say about the proejct:
"We have challenged ourselves to capture the most honest and accurate depiction of a soldier's journey without forgetting those who are indirectly affected by the full spectrum of this war."
Here is what Grayhm said:
"The inception of Thunder Road came from a place of deep empathy and humble curiosity since hearing our former President declare war over my radio that evening in March 2003.
Val Kilmer will play the elderly Wyatt Earp in indie Western The First Ride of Wyatt Earp, which Michael Feifer is directing. The screenplay is penned by Darren Benjamin Shepherd and the flick is now in production in California. Barry Barnholtz and Jeffrey Schenck are producing through Hybrid banner, and Peter Sullivan is co-producing.
Val Kilmer has been involved in the Wyatt Earp story once before, playing Doc Holliday in Tombstone. He earlier played the title character in the TV movie Billy the Kid, so he is definitely not a newcomer to Western.
The storyline will be about a journalist interviewing a senior citizen Earp about his legendary days as a marshal in the Wild West and they’ll show the story about his rounding up a posse to find the outlaw that mistakenly killed the woman he loved.
The reporter is Daniel Booko ( iCarly sitcom, Hannah Montana) and country...

Westerns don't usually do too well but, if done right, audiences respond. In 1988 and 1990, buoyed by a cast of hot young (then) actors (including Kiefer Sutherland and Charlie Sheen) and a fantastic soundtrack, Young Guns showed that westerns could be cool. Now, with the success of True Grit and Rango, the indie The First Ride of Wyatt Earp is trying out that Young Guns playbook. The story will be about a reporter interviewing a senior citizen Earp about his legendary days as a marshal in the Wild West and they'll show the story about his rounding up a posse to find the outlaw that unintentionally killed the woman he loved.
Val Kilmer will play the elderly Earp; he played Doc Holliday in Tombstone and the title character in the TV movie Billy the Kid. The reporter is Daniel Booko (he's been on "iCarly," "Hannah Montana" and "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,...

Val Kilmer has been part of the Wyatt Earp story once before, playing Doc Holliday in Tombstone. ("I'm your huckleberry" [1] should be a line etched into the brain of any western fan.) Now he's going back to the classic tale, and this time he's playing Wyatt Earp, in the indie western The First Ride of Wyatt Earp. The film was written by Darren Benjamin Shepherd, and will be directed by Mike Feifer. The story, says Variety [2], " finds an elderly Earp sitting down with a reporter to reflect on the ride that made him a legend, when the young marshal rounded up a posse to track down the outlaw who mistakenly murdered the woman he loved." So will Val Kilmer play both the older Earp and the younger? Right now we don't know. Wilson Bethel plays Doc Holliday, Daniel Booko plays Spike Kennedy, and Trace Adkins, Miracle Laurie, Steven Grayhm and...

Things are getting a little bit hairy on Nickelodeon. Victoria Justice, star of the #1 Nickelodeon show "Victorious," is playing a she-wolf in the upcoming television movie, "The Boy Who Cried Werewolf."
Justice, in her first headlining TV movie role, stars as Jordan, an unpopular, allergy-prone teen who sees her family inherit her Great Uncle's castle in Wolfsberg, Romania. After a freak lab accident, Jordan begins transforming into a werewolf, and, like other teen wolf movies, suddenly becomes more self-confident. Of course, there's a dangerous side to her new personality.
"The Boy Who Cried Werewolf" also stars Brooke Shields, as Madame Varcolac, the Romanian housekeeper who currently cares for Vucovic's ancient castle and knows plenty of its secrets. The movie also stars Matt Winston ("StarStruck"), Brooke D'Orsay ("Drop Dead Diva"), Steven Grayhm ("The Family Tree"), and Chase Ellison ("Tooth Fairy").

The kiddies deserve some tamer terror for the Halloween season, and that's precisely what Nickelodeon is scaring up with its original movie The Boy Who Cried Werewolf. Not to be confused with the 1973 flick of the same name about a young boy who discovers his father is a hippie-hating werewolf. Though I am a little confused given this Boy Who Cried Werewolf is actually about a teenage girl who turns into a tween wolf.
Victoria Justice of the popular Nickelodeon program "Victorious" stars in The Boy Who Cried Werewolf alongside Brooke Shields, once a teen superstar herself, now playing the creepy caretaker of a Romanian castle.
Jordan Sands (Justice) is an awkward, allergy-prone 17-year-old, forced to be the woman of the house after her mother's death. Her father, David (Matt Winston, Little Miss Sunshine), is struggling to make ends meet while her younger brother, Hunter (Chase Ellison, Tooth Fairy), drives...

Lifetime Movie Network is taking a contemporary look at the seven deadly sins.
The cable network is moving with production on "Seven Deadly Sins," a four-hour miniseries based on Robin Wasserman's "Seven Deadly Sins" series of novels: "Lust," "Greed," "Envy," "Wrath," "Gluttony," "Sloth" and "Pride."
"Without a Trace" alum Eric Close is set to star in the mini, written by Gary Tieche and to be directed by Jeff Renfroe.
Dreama Walker ("Gossip Girl"), Rachel Melvin ("Days of Our Lives"), Jared Keeso ("The Guard"), Emma Lahana ("The Guard"), Greyston Holt ("Durham County") and Steven Grayhm ("Taken") co-star in the project. It is slated to begin production late this month for a 2010 premiere.
In "Sins," Harper (Walker) is a manipulative queen bee at her high school whose popularity is usurped when a transfer student (Melvin) comes to town, seduces Harper's boyfriend (Keeso) and shamelessly pursues handsome French teacher Mr. Powell (Close).
