Guns of Eden opens with Buffalo cops Megan (Alexandra Faye Sadeghian) and her partner Jeremy (Peter Johnson) running down a purse snatcher. However, when they find themselves in the middle of a convenience store robbery things don’t go as well and Megan shoots a fellow officer.
She resigns and takes up residence at the local bar until Jeremy finds her and suggests she join him and a couple of friends, friends Blake (Dominic Luongo) and Gabriella (Nicole Colon), on a camping trip. She’s initially reluctant but, since it would be a short movie otherwise, ends up going. But as they head out to the woods, something else is about to go down.

[Guest authors Christopher Lombardo and Jeff Kirschner of Really Awful Movies take a look back at some of the most memorable slimy moments in the horror and sci-fi genres.] In Jean-Paul Sartre’s Being and Nothingness, the philosopher weighs in on the icky properties of slime: “…it sticks to me, it draws me, it sucks at me. Its mode of being is neither the reassuring inertia of the solid nor a dynamism…”
The author described “le visqueux” (viscosity) at length, and reportedly even stared at algae to experience the repulsive feelings associated with the title and theme of his dour novel Nausea.
When it comes to phobias, a fear of slime sits pretty low on the list. Who has even heard of blennophobia compared with more prevalent fears such as agora- or arachnophobia?
Perhaps because it’s one of those fears, like being scared of fire, that is so ubiquitous that it doesn’t really need a psychological condition or fancy verbiage attached to it. After all, it’s pretty rare to experience fire in your day-to-day life (as...

There are perhaps no more prolific actresses out there than horror icon Debbie Rochon. She has a list of credits to her name over 230 movies long and it's always growing. But she recently completed filming her directorial debut, Model Hunger, and can't wait to unleash it on the world.
Model Hunger stars Lynn Lowry, Tiffany Shepis, Carmine Capobianco, Brian Fortune, Michael Thurber, Aurelio Voltaire, Suzi Lorraine, Babette Bombshell, Geri Horn and Jayne Caswell. Rochon also enlisted the talents of well-known composer Henry Manfredini (who did extensive work on the Friday the 13th series) and a crew that she described as the best of the best for creating Model Hunger.
With such an extensive acting career, one wonders why Rochon never directed in the past as she's been in the entertainment business for most of her adult life. What finally triggered that desire to get her working on the other side of the camera?...
