Prince Andrew is getting the documentary treatment at Peacock.
The streamer has released the trailer for Prince Andrew: Banished, a 90-minute documentary debuting Oct. 5 that will dive into the “tumultuous and complex” life of Prince Andrew. The feature includes interviews with palace insiders, journalists, and others who were close to the controversial relationship between Prince Andrew, Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein.
The disgraced second son to the late Queen Elizabeth II stepped down from royal duties over his association with the late child sex offender Epstein in November 2019. The decision, an unusual one for a senior royal, followed a televised BBC interview where he came under fire for how he clarified his ties with Epstein and was perceived as lacking sympathy for Epstein’s sex trafficking victims, many of whom were underage. As a result, he was stripped of his honorary military titles and charity roles,...

Prince Andrew, Duke of York is the subject of a new documentary coming soon to Peacock. Titled “Prince Andrew: Banished,” the 90-minute doc will explore the sexual assault allegations against the royal and his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, which eventually caused Queen Elizabeth II to strip her son of his military titles and royal patronages.
The documentary will launch Oct. 5 on Peacock. It includes commentary from a royal press secretary, palace insiders, journalists, members of Prince Andrew’s social circle and the legal team that brought the allegations against him to light. Michael Moore’s long-awaited new series for Turner is finally materializing but with a new name and network. Originally titled “Michael Moore Live from the Apocalypse” and developed for TNT, the show will now go by a familiar name — “Michael Moore TV Nation” — and air instead on TBS.
“TV Nation,” of course, was the name of the Emmy-winning satirical news magazine that Moore created at NBC in 1994.
Although originally titled “Live from the Apocalypse,” Moore told IndieWire on Wednesday, “Then we decided, we’re going to be on the air for five to 10 years. We’re going to outlive the apocalypse, right? Think of this as the first post-Trump show while Trump is still in office.”
The show was originally set to launch last fall, then early this year, but Moore said “TV Nation” will now premiere in October on the eve of the midterm elections.

Michael Moore Is Returning To Television For the First Time Since 2000; Here’s What Brought Him Back
It took the apocalypse to bring Michael Moore back to television.
TNT has ordered the series “Michael Moore Live from the Apocalypse” (that’s a working title), a new non-fiction series from Moore set to premiere in late fall.
“Live from the Apocalypse” is Moore’s first regular TV show since “The Awful Truth” went off the air in 2000. Before that, he earned a Primetime Emmy – the first ever for a non-fiction series – for his short-lived but fondly remembered “TV Nation.”

“‘Live from the Apocalypse’ will be a raucous gathering place for millions of our fellow citizens in desperate need of a break from the screaming pundits and the purveyors of ‘alternative facts,'” Moore said in a statement. “Our show will be dangerous and relentless. IFC has ordered a second season of its documentary series "The IFC Media Project,' which goes behind the scenes of how the news gets made.
Hosted by correspondent Gideon Yago, the five episodes will premiere in May and are produced by Meghan O'Hara and Nick McKinney ("The Daily Show," "30 Days").
"This is a truly important series that reveals what's really going on in our world today versus what the news media feeds consumers," O'Hara said. "In the new season we will take our exploration of news media even further as we venture across the globe to get the real stories behind current events, conflicts and disasters that may have made headlines, but the entire story was never told."
Season 2 will cover the conflict in Georgia, the "clean coal" debate and President Barack Obama's press relations and more.
