What Do We Know About Dune Prophecy? More than you may think. With the second part of Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic science fiction novel a critical and box office success, it is going to be several years before we see the next feature film in the series, Dune Messiah. Luckily, production on the small-screen prequel /spin-off was concurrent with Dune: Part Two which means before the end of the year we are going to return to the fictional realms of Arrakis, Geidi Prime, and more via Max.
While not much in the way of footage has made its way online, there have been quite a few reveals about Dune Prophecy, so let’s jump in and discuss.
Denis Villeneuve is not directing any episodes

The series is going to premiere on HBO Max later this year, and we are happy to confirm that a trailer for the series has been released, confirming its Fall 2024 release window.

Once known as Dune: The Sisterhood, the Max streaming series Dune: Prophecy, which serves as a prequel to the Dune feature films directed by Denis Villeneuve, started filming in November of 2022, then underwent quite a shake-up in 2023 when the director of the first two episodes, Johan Renck (who executive produced and directed all five episodes of the HBO limited series Chernobyl) decided to leave the project over creative issues, then Shirley Henderson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) – who had been cast as one of the show’s lead characters – followed him out the door. Everything has been worked out since then, with Dune: Prophecy on track for a fall 2024 premiere. To start building the hype, Max just unveiled a teaser trailer for the show, and you can check it out in the embed above!

Iga Swiatek opened up on a chilling childhood experience while skiing and explained the ordeal left her traumatized when growing up.
Speaking in her post-match press conference following a thumping win over Rebecca Peterson , Swiatek started her US Open title defense in the best possible manner. The Pole answered a question on whether skiing is a sport she actually enjoys.
Swiatek stated that her current schedule does not allow her to venture into her hobbies, but she is unlikely to try skiing again after an unpleasant experience when she was seven that nearly cost her life. Swiatek also drew parallels between skiing and tennis, saying that they are individual sports with the same events for both men and women.
"No, last time I skied was when I was seven and I had an accident that I could have died so I really got scared. I don't get scared that easily...

By the time Michael Bay made 2011's "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," the director had become intimately familiar with the mechanics of making the gargantuan film series. It might have taken convincing from executive producer Steven Spielberg, but Bay made the franchise synonymous with his brand of blockbuster. The first two films in the series were massive productions that achieved massive success, at least commercially, and the third one would be even bigger.
Throughout the making of the series, production difficulties were surmounted by Bay in his typically forward-looking, pragmatic manner. According to Super Hero Hype, he had kept the budget down on the 2007 original film by striking an exclusive deal with General Motors for the cars. Shortly after, the 2007-08 Writers Strike had frozen development on the sequel "Revenge of the Fallen," which led to Bay locking the writers in a hotel room to finish the script the minute the strike ended.

Autobots – roll out. The Transformers franchise has been a staple in pop-culture ever since their creation as toys back in the 1980s. However, the concept of massive living creatures turning into everyday machines and living secretly amongst humans was so compelling and unique that it warranted much more than just action figures. Followed by tv shows, graphic novels, and multiple spinoffs the Transformers universe quickly became one of the largest established I.P. in the history of media. And of course, that means Hollywood came knocking. But, not all entries have been great, as we’ll dig into with our Transformers Movies Ranked list!
Fans of the Transformers universe have been blessed with eight movies over the last four decades with the latest installment, Rise of the Beasts, having its worldwide premiere this weekend. Believe it or not, Rise of the Beasts is actually the first Transformers movie to drop...

All of the cast members announced for the HBO Max series Dune: The Sisterhood (which is a prequel to the Dune feature films) up to this point have been for female roles – which makes sense, since the show is going to be about “a mysterious order of women”. But now Deadline has broken the news that the show does have a male lead among its characters, and that role is going to be played by Travis Fimmel (Raised by Wolves).
Diane Ademu-John, who previously worked on The Haunting of Bly Manor at Netflix, Empire at Fox, The Originals and The Vampire Diaries at The CW, and Medium and Crossing Jordan at NBC, is the showrunner on Dune: The Sisterhood. They say that rock is dying, guitar solos are old news, and kids today don’t like that kind of noise. Ok, sure — but have they heard Hello Mary?
