Wentworth Miller, best known for his Prison Break role, has signed up to play the lead in an upcoming Mike Million‘s project titled Analog.
The project is already being described as “indie dramedy” and Million will direct from his own screenplay, which appeared on the Black List in 2005.
Miller joins the film which will follow an introverted genius who tries to find a love connection in an increasingly digital world.
That’s basically all we know about the project at this moment, beside the fact that Analog is budgeted at around $3 million and that Brendan McDonald is in charge for producing.
But let me remind you that last year Million revealed:
“When I wrote “Analog,” it was the first success that I had with scriptwriting in Hollywood. Everyone liked it. It was a great entry into the business. For me. But one of the things that happens when you write an interesting,...

Even after the series which he was the star of, Prison Break, was canceled in 2009, Wentworth Miller has managed to build a career for himself outside of the TV screen. Not only is his original script Stoker being directed by Park Chan-wook, but BrightenYourScreen (via ComingSoon) tells us that he’s signed on to star in the indie dramedy Analog, from writer and director Mike Million.
The script follows a young man (Miller), who is “an introverted genius who tries to find a love connection in an increasingly digital world,” hence the title. Shooting begins this summer in Michigan. Million, whose name makes me think he used to be a professional wrestler, previously made Tenure and is said to have done a re-write of Paul Haggis‘ script Honeymoon with Harry. Not many more details have been given out at this time, but stick around for when more come in.

Prison Break star Wentworth Miller has been newsworthy of late because he wrote the script for Stoker, which Park Chan-wook will direct with stars Mia Wasikowska, Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman. Now he has booked a new role, taking the lead in an indie called Analog, which Mike Million wrote and will direct. The script has been around for a few years -- it hit the Black List in 2005 -- and follows " an introverted genius who tries to find a love connection in an increasingly digital world." I'm picturing Pi as a romantic comedy, but that probably isn't quite right. [Variety [1]] After the break, Paul Walker makes a deal with Fred Durst. Will former Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst eventually be remembered more as a film director than as a rap-rock clown? It could happen. Oft-dismissed a few years back thanks to his music career, the guy has become a promising...

So he lost out on the “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” gig, but that doesn’t mean Wentworth Miller doesn’t have a lot going on. He’s been writing up a storm and selling scripts in the indie scene, and he’s fresh off co-starring in the big Hollywood studio movie “Resident Evil: Afterlife”. And now the former “Prison Break” leading man is set to star in Mike Million’s “Analog”, where he’ll play “an introverted genius who tries to find a love connection in an increasingly digital world.” So what, no Facebook hook-ups, then? Million will direct from his own script, which was apparently so good it landed on the 2005 “Black List”. Brendan McDonald will produce the indie drama for $3 million with a possible Summer start date.

Prison Break star Wentworth Miller is set to star in a independent comedy-drama called Analog. The movie is being directed by Mike Million (Tenure) from a screenplay that he wrote. The story follows an introverted genius who tries to find a love connection in an increasingly digital world. I take it he doesn't use E-Harmony. The film has a budget of $3 million dollars and will shoot this summer in Michigan.

Wentworth Miller, the actor best known as the star of the Fox series Prison Break, has been branching out into screenwriting lately with some real success; his script Stoker is going into production with Park Chan-Wook directing and MIa Wasikowska in negotiations to star. But acting still pays the bills, so Miller is taking another role in front of the camera too. Variety reports that he'll be starring in Analog, an indie dramedy about "an introverted genius who tries to find a love connection in an increasingly digital world." Go ahead and make all your Mark Zuckerberg and Social Network jokes, but the script appeared on the Black List in 2005, back when even college kids were barely grasping the significance of Facebook. Mike Million will be directing his own script, which he'll presumably be updating to reflect the hundreds of different technological shifts that have happened in the last five...

English-born, American actor Wentworth Miller has just signed on to star in the indie drama Analog.
Based on a script written by Mike Million that appeared on the 2005 Black List, the story is about an introverted genius who struggles to find love in this growing digital world.
Producer Brendan McDonald, whose other productions include the Luke Wilson comedy Tenure and the Irish indie The Runway, was able to scrape together 3 million dollars so far for the project and expects to film in Michigan this summer.
Princeton educated Miller may be joining the Black List ranks with Millions. It seems the former Prison Break star has been moonlighting as a screenwriter and using the pseudonym Ted Foulke. His drama Stoker has attracted Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth and director Chan-wook Park.
Looks like that ivy league education is paying off!

Wentworth Miller is set to star in the new Indie drama-comedy Analog, according to Variety. Mike Million, who wrote the screenplay, will also direct the indie flick.
The story follows a genius who keeps to himself, but tries to find a mate in a very complicated digital world.
The film is set to start shooting this summer in Michigan with a presumed 2012 release date.
Miller has recently been turning heads in Hollywood with his screenwriting skills. He has penned a new drama Stoker, with Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth in talks to star, apparently under the pen name Ted Foulke.

In this post-Prison Break world, Wentworth Miller is becoming known more for his scripting skills – he wrote the drama Stoker under a pseudonym that has attracted Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth and director Chan-wook Park – than for his acting. But he’s still staying in front of the camera and has just agreed to star in Analog. As the title might suggest, the film will deal with a man who is having trouble adapting to our increasingly digital world. In this case, the focus will be on Miller’s troubled, introverted genius, who is stumbling through life looking for love but, for all his intelligence, just can’t find that special someone.Mike Million wrote the script, which found itself on the Black List of highly regarded screenplays back in 2005. He’s now scraped together the money to get it made and will direct it as his second stint wielding the megaphone.

I like Luke Wilson. In fact, I’m willing to completely overlook those wretched cell phone commercials because I know the guy is capable of better things. For instance, writer/director Mike Million’s 2009 comedy “Tenure” looks pretty amusing, mostly because I’m willing to give anything with Wilson and co-star David Koechner a spin in the ol’ digital video disc player without a second thought. The film follows a college professor’s attempt to secure tenure, a venture that is thrust into jeopardy when a beautiful new candidate enters the picture. I’m getting a strong “Election” vibe from the trailer, which, of course, is a good thing. “Tenure” will arrive on DVD this April, so be sure to finalize your schedule beforehand.

The 16th annual Austin Film Festival opened with a true screenwriting gem, Serious Moonlight. Penned by the late Adrienne Shelley around the same time she created Waitress – Shelley was murdered shortly after wrapping Waitress, before she had the opportunity to direct Serious Moonlight. I loved Waitress, and have been a fan of Adrienne Shelley since seeing her act in Hal Hartley’s The Unbelievable Truth and Trust. Serious Moonlight | Review "...the script is chock-full of clever Hitchcockian twists along with a impeccably strong (and mysterious) conclusion. Serious Moonlight is very conservatively directed by first-timer Cheryl Hines (who acted in Waitress with Shelley)." ____________________________________________________ I have long been curious about C.D. Payne’s 1993 epistolary novel Youth in Revolt: The Journals of Nick Twisp, and unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to read it prior to the Aff screening of Miguel Arteta’s film. Nonetheless, into the Paramount I went… I must...

Director: Mike Million Writer(s): Mike Million Starring: Luke Wilson, David Koechner, Gretchen Mol Charlie Thurber (Luke Wilson) is an English professor at Gray College; he is up for tenure this year and, after recently witnessing his good friend and Anthropology professor Jay’s (David Koechner) tenure hopes get trampled, Charlie is concerned. Charlie’s worriment increases when the English department hires a hot blond English professor from Yale, Elaine Grasso (Gretchen Mol). Still smarting from his failed attempt at tenure, Jay pitches in to help Charlie in his quest for tenure; however most of Jay’s plans (toilet-papering the Dean’s house, going to a student party while on ecstasy, chasing after Bigfoot) only prove to damage Charlie’s chances. Charlie’s personal life is also in turmoil. He and his sister, Margarette (Sasha Alexander), recently put their forgetful father (Bob Gunton) in a nursing home; but their...
