Nandi Bushell is the latest brave soul to take on Drumeo’s “For the First Time” challenge in which drummers play along to songs they never heard before. In the case of the 13-year-old music prodigy, she was tasked with keeping the beat to the iconic Twisted Sister anthem “We’re Not Gonna Take It.”
Back in September, we saw Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith participate in the same series, absolutely crushing Thirty Seconds to Mars’ “The Kill.” That video is closing in on 10 million YouTube views.
In the new clip featuring Nandi, she is shown a picture of Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider in his full ’80s makeup, and asked, “Do you recognize this guy?” With a puzzled look, Nandi answers, “No.”
Nandi is then played “We’re Not Gonna Take It” with no drum track, and she asks if she needs a cowbell. She then runs through...

South African Netflix original, Fatal Seduction has plenty of complex and morally gray characters. Even though there was not much to offer when it came to the story and the screenplay, the arcs presented by the makers had plenty to showcase. Fatal Seduction begins as a steamy thriller and quickly transitioned into a murder mystery whodunnit. Zinhle is the only daughter of Judge Leonard and his law professor wife, Nandi. She has been raised with many privileges. Initially, Zinhle does not come across as a brat who does not care about life in general. It shows she was raised the right way by her parents, who never had any financial issues.
Zinhle comes across as a young woman who loves expressing herself through her out-of-the-box makeup, and she wants someone who will like her for who she is. Her best friend Laura, who happens to be gay, is always by...

The new Netflix thriller that has garnered loads of attention from viewers is Fatal Seduction, a South African Series. Even though the makers added plenty of steamy scenes for the sake of titillating the audience, there was some gravitas to the storytelling in the first volume, until the second volume made landfall and catapulted the entire narrative out the window. The storytelling aspect of Fatal Seduction was gravely affected by the screenplay, but what the makers did a good job of was putting forth characters that could not be considered black and white.
One such character must be Vuyo, the brother of Judge Leonard. From the very beginning, it is established that Vuyo and his brother have a complicated relationship, but nothing much is said about their childhood. If that had been shown, it could have given the viewers enough insight into what made them so different as people. Vuyo...

Volume Two of Fatal Seduction, the South African Netflix Original thriller released a day ago, takes the viewers through steamy affairs, a murder investigation, and a decade-old, closed case on the verge of being opened again. Most of the protagonists have a lot to lose if the case is reopened because it was established in the first volume that the man sent to jail for the crime was falsely accused, and he committed suicide due to the shame he caused himself and his family. Jacob, his son, is back, seeking vengeance from the Mahlati family.
Spoilers Ahead
Vuyo is investigating.
Fatal Seduction Vol. 2 begins with the confrontation between Vuyo and his brother Leornard. Leonard was under the impression that his wife was cheating on him with his brother. Vuyo is appalled to hear about his brother’s suspicions, and he makes it clear that there was a time when he loved Nandi,...

Netflix has successfully forayed into the African market, and for the past few years, they have given us interesting stories from across the continent. The Fatal Seduction is a South African Netflix Original that speaks about desires and infidelity amidst corruption and crimes against women and children in the country. Created by Steven Pillemer, this seven-episodic first volume of the show has caught the attention of viewers not just because of the steamy scenes but also because of the attention it draws to pertinent issues that plague that nation.
The Fatal Seduction begins with Nandi, the lead protagonist, being taken into police custody for a crime unknown, but there is blood everywhere inside her fancy home, and there is a murder weapon. As the series progresses, the viewers can pick and choose from several characters in the show that could have been Nandi’s target, and slowly, they might also...

Though writer-director Joss Whedon may not be who we thought he was, there is no question that his television shows remain widely loved and celebrated. This is especially true of the imaginative sci-fi Western "Firefly," which aired for only 11 glorious episodes in 2002. Most fans wouldn't see the remaining three episodes until the series came out on DVD in 2004. Fox bungled this one, pure and simple.
Fans mourn what might've been the way Independents look back on the Unification War, but there's no profit to be had in wishing things were different. "Firefly" gave us 14 wonderful episodes before flying off quietly into that good night. At least there was a form of closure in the 2005 film "Serenity," and the story goes on in a series of graphic novels. As the theme song says, "You can't take the sky from me."
With that in mind, this piece means to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Today sees the final release of tickets for The Taylor Hawkins Tribute show, presented by Foo Fighters along with the Hawkins family at Wembley Stadium, London. The late Foo Fighters drummer was only 50 years old when he was found dead in his hotel room in Colombia in March earlier this year. A cause of death is yet to be announced.
The band is already in London preparing for the one-off show, which promises to be a day of epic music and, though tinged with sadness, a time to celebrate a great musician and friend.
The show will take place on Saturday 3 September at Wembley Stadium. Doors will open at 2.30pm, with the show starting at 4.30pm.
From 12pm on show day, special merchandise will be available on Olympic Way. Ticket and merchandise sales will benefit Music Support, a charity that helps those who work in music and live events affected...

Antoine Fuqua might have been known best for his big screen blockbuster work, but in the past few years, he's made a pretty triumphant transition to streaming. Of course, it took some "adjusting" on the director's part — with the Mark Wahlberg starrer "Infinite" quietly released on Paramount+, and the Jake Gyllenhaal-led thriller "The Guilty" making a similar debut on Netflix — but Fuqua has since found a major groove with television. With producer credits on the celebrated "Mayor of Kingstown" and the recent release of Prime Video series "The Terminal List," Fuqua is enjoying the freedom that long-form entertainment affords.
"I found it to be a really positive thing," Fuqua told /Film's Jack Giroux. The freedom of the new streaming landscape reminds the filmmaker of the risk-taking on display in the '70s. "You got a chance to just come in and try some things and be brave," Fuqua added,...
