Kaye Adams celebrated her 60th birthday on Loose Women today (28 December), and admitted she had previously lied to her daughter about her age.
The TV presenter, who competed on this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing, said her daughter Charley only discovered her real age when her mother turned 50.
Fellow Loose Women panellist Coleen Nolan said on the show: “You really had a serious block about admitting how old you were to the point your kids thought you were 10 years younger.”
To which Adams replied: “I feel ashamed. I was an older mum and felt a bit embarrassed with the younger mums at the school gates.
“But I took her [Charley] to a café after school and told her that mummy was 10 years older than I’d told her.
“I know it was bonkers, it was stupid.”

He said: “In the moment [when you lose a part to someone else], you’re destroyed or you’re defeated. But you realise this person was brilliant.

David Baddiel brought out an agenda-shifting new documentary called Jews Don’t Count on Monday night (21 November), and it’s kept people talking ever since.
In the show, which aired on Channel 4, the author and comedian argues that antisemitism isn’t considered to be as unacceptable as other forms of discrimination, even among those who are vocal in their support of other minority groups.
Stars including David Schwimmer, Stephen Fry, Sarah Silverman and Miriam Margolyes talk to Baddiel on camera about their experiences of antisemitism in the documentary, which is a follow-up to Baddiel’s 2021 book of the same title.
Many have been praising the programme on Twitter, with actor Eddie Marsan writing: “#jewsdontcount the original book by @Baddiel was absolutely fascinating and the @Channel4 documentary tonight was just as enlightening. Heartbreaking to see my old mate @andynyman sharing the difficulty he’s faced but his last exchange with David was hilarious.

A Place in the Sun presenter Jonnie Irwin has claimed he was dropped by the Channel 4 show because of his terminal cancer diagnosis.
The TV star, who recently went public with his diagnosis, has alleged that Channel 4 “pushed him aside for someone healthier”.

Will Young has fiercely condemned David Beckham over the former footballer becoming a paid ambassador for Qatar during the World Cup.
The singer, 43, urged Beckham to donate to LGBTQ+ charities and called his reported £10m deal “odious”.
The 2022 tournament kicked off on Sunday (20 November) in Qatar, where homosexuality is illegal and anyone found participating in same-sex sexual activity can be punished with up to seven years in prison.
Posting on Instagram, Young wrote: “Qatar is of course not the only country in the world with appalling records on human rights. The argument that sport is not political is duplicitous and two-faced.
“What is undoubtedly clear however is a star like you @davidbeckham who I once sang for (not for any money I hasten to add) at your birthday has disappointed me more than I can say.
“Our paths crossed a fair few times due to being with 19 Management and you were always friendly and generous.

Margot Robbie has defended her minimal screentime in the 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
The actor, 32, became the youngest-ever star to be given a special Bafta: A Life in Pictures tribute in London on Tuesday (22 November).
Speaking at the event, Robbie reflected on playing Sixties actor and model Sharon Tate in the Quentin Tarantino movie, saying her lack of screen time and lines “did not bother” her.
Admitting that several scenes she had filmed had been cut, Robbie said she “watched it and thought we got across what we wanted to get across”.
When the film was released, many fans had complained that Robbie didn’t have enough scenes or dialogue in the film.
In a 2019 interview, Tarantino had defended himself, telling an interviewer who raised the criticisms to him: “I reject your hypothesis.”
Robbie, sitting beside him at the time, said: “I think the moments on screen...

Watch out Jason Mamoa, Hugh Jackman loves the ocean. Like, really loves it. A lot.
The Australian actor first joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the landbound Wolverine in the 2000’s X-Men (followed by three more appearances in X-Men sequels and Deadpool), but it appears that Jackman may be more suited for DC’s underwater world.
In a new Q&a with Vanity Fair, Jackman was overflowing with appreciation for, well, water.
When asked what person or thing he would most like to reincarnate as, he answered: “Seaweed.”
Er, why? “I love the ocean,” he explained, with what one can only imagine was a faraway look. “It would be nice to float around and then sometimes wash onto shore.”
Ok. But that wasn’t the end of his ode to water. Oh no. “What is your idea of perfect happiness?” the interviewer later asked. “Seeing my family thrive and being underwater,...

Tim Minchin has opened up about a song on his most recent album that is, as he put it, about wanting to “f*** someone”.
The musician and comedian’s third debut album, Ready for This? (2009), includes the song “If I Didn’t Have You”, in which the Australian singer croons about his decade-long marriage to his wife Sarah: “Our love is one in a million.”
Then, on his latest 2020 album, Apart Together, he describes the struggles of monogamy and resisting the urge to have sex with “one of those others I swore to forsake” in a song titled “I’ll Take Lonely Tonight”.
“I got some interesting feedback from women when that came out,” Minchin told iNews, in a new interview published on Wednesday 23 November.
“Some sobbed because it was so beautiful. Other women said, ‘So you didn’t f*** someone. What do you want? A medal?’”

The “brutal” murder of student Megan Newton will be the subject of Sky’s true crime documentary What the Killer Did Next.
Newton, 18, was raped, strangled, and stabbed nine times by semi-pro footballer Joseph Trevor, her former schoolmate, in 2019.
She had met Trevor by chance at a taxi rank at around 3.30am on 20 April 2019 while on a night out after working a shift at one of her three part-time jobs.
Trevor was intoxicated after consuming drink and drugs and was worried about going home to his parents, Stafford Crown Court heard during the trial.
Newton, a self-described “sports fanatic” who was working towards her level one Fa coaching badge and hoped to win a scholarship in the US, agreed to let him crash at her bedsit on Fletcher Road in Stoke-on-Trent.

Diego Luna has paid tribute to Andor following the release of episode 12, the finale of the hit show.
Andor began in September and, after its first three episodes, swiftly became the best-reviewed Star Wars project in years.
Each week, fans flocked to social media to share messages of appreciation for creator Tony Gilroy’s success in recapturing the magic they believed was missing in other projects.
It has been regularly mentioned that he did this by avoiding fan service and, instead, created an intriguing story that is set to be concluded in a second season of 12 episodes.
Luna, who stars as Rogue One’s Cassian Andor in the Star Wars spin-off, shared a message with viewers hours after the instalment was released on Disney Plus.
He wrote on Twitter: “Episode 12 of #Andor is out. That’s it!!! What a journey. I’m grateful for everyone involved in this project.

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has accepted “significant” libel damages over a newspaper story that claimed her role in the popular ITV daytime show had led to a toxic workplace environment.
The former singer, who rose to fame as a member of Irish girl group The Nolans, threatened proceedings against Associated Newspapers over an article published in The Mail on Sunday headlined: “Loose Women at war as stars ‘refuse to work with Coleen Nolan’.”
A press statement said the story, which was published in January this year, “wrongly reported that Coleen’s colleagues had refused to work with her and accused her of being ‘high and mighty behind the scenes’”.
The 57-year-old’s solicitor, Jane Ashford-Thom of Taylor Hampton, said: “The story was false and should never have been published.
“Ms Nolan is on good and professional terms with all panellists and members of the production team of Loose Women.

Andrea McLean has insisted that she won't be the next Loose Women panelist to join Celebrity Big Brother.
Nadia Sawalha, Coleen Nolan, Carol McGiffin and Denise Welch have all appeared on recent series of the reality show, but McLean thinks Channel 5 producers "wouldn't get their money's worth" with her.
She told Digital Spy at the press night for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time in London: "I've said no all along. For one, I'd be so boring that they wouldn't get their money's worth.
"I've got no idea if anyone is doing it!" she added, when asked if any of her fellow panelists have been approached about the upcoming run.
Meanwhile, McLean said that she has no intention of signing up to any talent competitions this year as she wants to enjoy her summer without being injured, as she was last year while preparing for BBC One's Tumble.

Penny Lancaster has come in for criticism after revealing she believes cooking detracts from a man's "masculinity".
The model made it clear on yesterday's (June 15) Loose Women that she supports equal rights, but doesn't think men should be "putting the apron on" in the kitchen.
Lancaster said: "I do agree with equal rights and if women want to go and work that's fabulous.
"If anything, when men come home, I think it's more a case of being more a part of the family, being with the children, spending more time with the children, being a strong role model."
She added: "But going as far as cooking and putting the apron on, I think that... not belittles men, but takes the masculinity, and I would miss that.
"We're different... men are from Mars and women are from Venus - testosterone, oestrogen, we're different creatures. I think you've got to let men do it their way.

"We're different... men are from Mars and women are from Venus - testosterone, oestrogen, we're different creatures. I think you've got to let men do it their way.

Coleen Nolan compared supporting gay rights to supporting Isis today, as the Loose Women panel discussed the verdict of Northern Ireland's 'gay cake' row.
This morning, a judge found Ashers Baking Company guilty of discrimination, after the bakery refused an order to bake a cake which was in support of gay marriage.
However, Nolan spoke out in support of the bakery, and left some viewers shocked when she attempted to argue that it would be no different to making the bakery fulfil an order for a cake supporting the Islamic State [Isis] militant group.
"At the end of the day, if you went in there and two days later they said, 'We don't want to make your cakes because of our beliefs', you'd just never go back to that shop and you'd probably say to all your gay friends, 'Don't go there, they're anti-gay', and boycott it," she said.

Gloria Hunniford's hand has been completely crushed by an angel. Appearing on the 'Loose Women' panel today (20.04.15) with her hand in a cast, the 75-year-old TV presenter explained how a bronze angel statue she has in her house - which requires three men to lift - fell on her, as she tried to move it. The weight of the ornament ''completely crushed'' the bone in her ring finger and the tendon is broken. Speaking to her fellow panellists, Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan and Jane Moore, Gloria said: ''It was stupidity on my part really. We have a couple of very tall angels.

Coleen Nolan's new dog urinated on the studio floor live on 'Loose Women' today (15.04.15). The 50-year-old TV presenter was left embarrassed when her three-legged, adopted mutt Mika got nervous in front of the cameras and took a wee. Coleen yelled: ''She's not house-trained yet!'' Fellow 'Loose Women' host Ruth Langsford shouted out: ''You've disgraced your mummy.'' Coleen was showing off Mika to viewers as she's just adopted the pooch from the Rspca after taking part in ITV show 'Give A Pet A Home'. The series sees Coleen, Julian Clary, Peter Andre, Denise Lewis, Kimberly Wyatt and Chris Kamara work with the animal charity, championing...

Kym Marsh has admitted that she doesn't vote at elections.
The Coronation Street actress said that there is "nothing" that makes her want to engage with politics.
On today's (April 13) edition of Loose Women, she said: "I know you're all going to go 'ohhh', but I don't vote. Shock horror! Why am I going to vote when I don't believe either of them or any of them?"
Fellow panelist Jane Moore disagreed with Marsh's stance, pointing out that people "fought and died for the vote".
"It's part of a democracy. Even if you register a protest vote, you've got to exercise that vote," she added.
Marsh replied: "I appreciate that, but I think it's so difficult. I can't choose between any of them, because there's nothing for me that makes me go [and want to vote]. They promise something, and that never happens anyway."
Moore went on to explain that voting is important to...

ITV's Loose Women is launching its own book club.
Loose Books will see the panellists take it in turns to select their favourite book for discussion on a month-by-month basis.
The studio audience will also be invited to join in the discussion, as well as viewers at home via the show's social media pages.
Coleen Nolan has selected The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins as the club's first book. The psychological thriller was published in January.
The panellists are free to choose any book whether it be fact or fiction. They can also pick classic novels or brand new releases to discuss with their co-stars.
Editor of Loose Women Martin Frizell said: "We think of our Loose Women viewers as part of a club and so it's a natural extension to widen that into a book club.

Katie Hopkins caused a bit of stir during an appearance on Loose Women.
Things started out civilly enough when the Celebrity Big Brother runner up appeared on the ITV chat show today (February 9), but it wasn't long before the conversation took a downward turn.
Many thanks to @moose-women for having me on the show. The sisterhood at its finest. #loosewomen
— Katie Hopkins (@KTHopkins) February 9, 2015
When asked by Coleen Nolan if she ever regrets anything she says, Hopkins asked for an example.
Nolan then mentioned that Hopkins constantly tweeted about her sister Linda, who survived breast cancer, when she appeared in last January's Celebrity Big Brother.
Saying that Hopkins spoke about Linda's "fat arm" and "droopy breast", Nolan said: "Can you imagine someone saying that about your family?"
Hopkins replied: "I wasn't the biggest fan of your sister... I get a lot of comments every day... I accept those things what people throw at me.
