The 4th edition of the Jagran Film Festival has announced the Jury for its two competitive sections: feature films and short films.
The Indian Showcase section or the feature film section will be judged by filmmaker Basu Chatterjee; actress, film director and producer Aditi Ninad Deshpande; cinematographer Raamachandraah; film editor Suresh Pai, and Indian theatre veteran Feroz Abbas Khan.
The jury of the Jagran Shorts section comprises of French actress Dorothy Briere; director N Chandra and Managing Director and CEO of Rajshri Media Rajjat A Barjatya.
The films in competition will vie for the Best Film, Best Actor (Male), Best Actor (Female), Best Screenplay, Best Music (Male / Female / Playback), Best Director, Best Debut Director, Best Short Film, Best Sound, Best Cinematography and Best Editing.

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India has constituted a panel to examine issues of certification under the Cinematograph Act 1952.
One of the functions of the panel is to consider the requirement of special categories of film certification for the purposes of broadcasting on television channels and radio stations. It will review the categories of certification, existing and proposed, under the Cinematograph (Amendment) Bill, 2013.
The panel is expected to review the mandate and functioning of Cbfc (Central Board of Film Certification) and recommend measures to enable Cbfc to deal with contemporary requirements of certification with increased transparency.

Warner Bros has picked up the theatrical distribution rights for the 3D drama DAM999, it's been announced today.
The "emotional thriller" tells the story of nine characters against the backdrop of a 100-year-old dam built by the British during their colonial days in India.
Inspired in part by China's Banqiao Dam disaster of 1975, in which 250,000 people died, the Indian production is scheduled for release in November.
A trailer will be shown in cinemas with this week's new release Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2.
