(Cbr) - Until now, we've only gotten hints of the musical tastes of the icons of the Marvel Cinematic Universe -- AC/DC on Tony Stark's in-armor playlist, the Falcon turning Captain America on to Marvin Gaye -- but in "Guardians of the Galaxy," audiences get a complete sense of Star-Lord's '60s and '70s-era power-pop leanings -- and, as James Gunn, Chris Pratt and Vin Diesel attest, it's as appropriately awesome a mix tape as the cassette label suggests. The lineup of songs is epic, in terms of pop touchstones from their era: Swedish rockers Blue Swede's 1974 smash hit cover of "Hooked On a Feeling;" "Go All the Way," the 1972 breakthrough hit for songwriter/lead singer Eric Carmen's early band The Raspberries; "Moonage Daydream," David Bowie's 1971 glam rock ode to an alien messiah; blues rocker Elvin Bishop's "Fooled Around and Fell in Love," from...

Mvd Entertainment Group will release the documentary "Bob Dylan and The Band: Down In The Flood" on DVD, September 25, 2012, with exclusive interviews including Garth Hudson, Ronnie Hawkins, band producer John Simon and tour drummer Mickey Jones :
"...in 1966 Bob Dylan began his first electric world tour. It was a landmark moment, both for Dylan and for the history of rock music. Backing Dylan on stage was an obscure group of Canadian musicians collectively known as 'The Hawks'.
"In the months following the tour they would join Dylan during a lengthy convalescence in New York's Catskill Mountains; when both parties re-emerged, Dylan had undergone an artistic transformation that sent ripples across American music and The Hawks had become simply 'The Band', one of the most important recording groups of their generation.
"This is the story of the relationship between Dylan and 'The Band', the legendary recordings that they made together in Woodstock,...

Netflix has revolutionized the home movie experience for fans of film with its instant streaming technology. Netflix Nuggets is my way of spreading the word about independent, classic and foreign films being made available by Netflix for instant streaming. Important Note: There may be some films that do not become available on the specified dates. This is merely a report of the most accurate release dates I can find, but is not directly confirmed by Netflix themselves.

Sometimes what is horrifying is not what happens to people, but what can happen to all of us in the future. Downstream is an an independent production that completed in 2008 and now an official movie poster is available along with the synopsis, which does not portray tomorrow as something to look forward to. In Downstream's future: "the food supply has been wiped out, and cancer rates for women have skyrocketed, depleting the female population." If that is not horrifying enough visit Quiet Earth to see the latest trailer that shows a world rampant in violence where central Wes Keller can only dream of hope and a better tomorrow.
A synopsis for Downstream here:
"Wes Keller is a young man living in a world where oil has collapsed, the food supply has been wiped out, and cancer rates for women have skyrocketed, depleting the female population. In a barbaric environment where bio fuel,...

I'm currently watching this episode (which won't be airing in the Us until December 3rd – suckers!) and I can tell you that the sneak peek that Fox has released, which is posted below, features the single most disgusting body I have ever had the displeasure of seeing on this show. So….enjoy!
Also, check out some behind the scenes pics, a promo and photos for the episode.

When the remains of a competitive gamer are discovered in a grease truck, Brennan and Booth are called to investigate the case. The victim, Steve Rifton, is the only active player known in the gaming community to have received a perfect score on a famous video game. Steve turned his success into a lucrative partnership with a gaming referee and charged fans to...

A few days ago I posted promo photos for the December 3rd episode of Bones (next week will be pre-empted) and now we have a promo video for you. It's a gamer-centric episode (and an Avatar-centric episode in a brilliant cross-promotion move by Fox because they really want to recoup the $300 million they spent on making the James Cameron picture).

Oh my God, how much do I love Bones? Answer: A Lot. If you've been watching trailers for Avatar, you will have noticed Joel David Moore, who has played intern Colin Fisher on several episodes of Bones. Well, Moore is back and there's a big cross-promotion going on as Sweets and Fisher take turns camping out for tickets to the opening on Avatar. Bones And Avatar in one episode? It's like Nutella and peanut butter together on toast (try it, it's yummy). It's also funny and awesome.
Fox has released promo photos and a synopsis for the December 3rd episode and you can check them out below. Also, take a peek at the promo photos for the November 19th episode, where Booth's grandfather makes an appearance. Then it's a week's break until the December 3rd episode.
