With All Stars 4, Cara Maria Sorbello is officially competing on a season of The Challenge after a hiatus of several years.
Viewers last saw her as a mercenary on MTV’s Battle For a New Champion, where she appeared in one episode for an elimination against Season 39’s Michele Fitzgerald.
Cara also appeared as a mercenary for the two-part reunion special, but with All Stars 4, she’s competing to win a spin-off version of the show.
However, Cara and her fans have seen it hasn’t been easy, as she’s struggled to find many allies in the game.
She’s survived through an elimination and navigated the complexities of former friendships to remain in the game.
Cara’s boyfriend, Paulie Calafiore, recently defended her against some remarks about her made on the show.

So far, she’s had feuds with Kam Williams, Brandon Nelson, and Jasmine Reynaud due to how the voting went for eliminations.
On recent episodes that arrived on Paramount+, viewers saw all three of those cast members as part of Cara Maria’s plan to rule over the eliminations.
Just recently, Cara’s castmate Jasmine commented about their situation inside and outside the game.

Jasmine Reynaud may not walk away with the bag from The Challenge: All Stars Season 4, following her elimination from Wednesday’s episode, but for some fans, she’s the clear winner of the confessional game. Plus, she may go down in history as having the wildest elimination experience in history — after being voted in at Cara Maria Sorbello’s insistence, she was slated to show down with Veronica Portillo. Then, Nicole Zanatta, the day’s challenge winner, decided to enter the arena to earn her star for the finale and chose Veronica as her opponent … until she changed her mind and threw Jasmine back in instead. So how did that switcheroo happen? Well, TV Insider caught up with Jasmine to find out all of the behind-the-scenes drama from her time on the season — including a secret deal she had with Nicole (and what we’ve all been wondering about Tyri Ballard...

The Challenge’s Tyrie Ballard addresses castmate’s racially insensitive remark to him on past season
Tyrie Ballard indicated that he and his castmate have been able to discuss a previous racially insensitive remark made about him on The Challenge.

His Og castmates include Rachel Robinson, Veronica Portillo, Tina Barta, Adam Larson, Ace Amerson, Laurel Stucky, and Cara Maria Sorbello.
Tyrie appeared on six seasons of MTV’s competition series, beginning with his rookie season, The Inferno 3, which featured OGs such as Johnny Bananas, Ct Tamburello, and Ace.

The former Challenge champion recently appeared on the Zach Nichols Podcast, where she talked about her second appearance on the popular spinoff series.
According to Janelle, she was trying to steer clear of all the drama with her castmates.
That included Laurel Stucky and Nicole Zanatta, whom she said she’d never met until she got to the airport. She admitted she liked them both and wanted them to patch things up.

Cara Maria Sorbello said she thought two of her castmates on The Challenge: All Stars 4 would reunite due to their shared “hatred” of her.

Cara Maria Sorbello made her highly-anticipated return for a season of The Challenge with the recent premiere of All Stars 4.
While she previously appeared on The Challenge: Battle For a New Champion on MTV, Cara hadn’t done a full season since War of the Worlds 2 in 2019.
That season, she participated in a major alliance that her boyfriend Paulie Calafiore set up with other players from Team UK.
It led to plenty of chaos and potential grudges from other cast members, and the duo wasn’t seen back on The Challenge until this year’s USA 2 and All Stars 4 spin-offs.
Paulie was the first to return on USA 2 and buried the hatchet with their rival Johnny Bananas. Cara showed up for MTV’s Season 39 as a mercenary – filmed after she’d completed filming for All Stars 4.

When MTV put The Challenge on their airwaves back in 1998, the idea was to assemble a group of former Real World and Road Rules cast members and pit them against each other for a cash prize. Nobody could have predicted the show would be going strong over a quarter century later with more than 500 episodes across 39 seasons, spinoffs shooting all over the globe, and a rabid fan base that obsesses over every detail of it on social media, web forums, podcasts, and even live Challenge Mania events where fans gather together to meet cast members.

While drama is seemingly encouraged in MTV’s The Challenge, fighting and bullying aren’t. Since its inception in 1998, 20 players have gotten kicked off the long-running competition series for breaking the rules, with only one contestant removed from multiple seasons.
Ayanna Mackins
The Road Rules star debuted in season 4’s Extreme Challenge (2001). Around episode 6, she physically assaulted Christian Breivik off-camera after he made an offensive joke to castmate Laterrian Wallace. Even though he didn’t want her to leave, producers removed her from the house, making her the first contestant disqualified for breaking the rules. She returned for two more seasons and recently returned to the franchise for spinoff All Stars.

‘The Challenge’: Amber Borzotra Clarifies Why She Nominated Herself for Elimination: ‘What Friends?’
When Amber Borzotra and Chauncey Palmer nominated themselves for elimination in The Challenge 38, castmates, namely Devin Walker, accused her of having ulterior motives. She recently responded, admitting it “pisses me off.”
Amber Borzotra responds to people who think she had ulterior motives in nominating herself
When Amber Borzotra and her boyfriend, Chauncey Palmer, lost the daily mission featured in episode 15, they saw the writing on the walls and opted to nominate themselves for elimination. However, their choice seemed to backfire when the two were sent home.
After they announced their decision to head straight into the sand, castmates, namely Devin Walker, thought they had ulterior motives. He considered it a “hail mary” in changing the rhetoric about her and presenting herself as someone who sacrificed her game for her friends if she returned.

Ravyn Rochelle debuts as a rookie competitor in MTV’s The Challenge: Ride or Dies. Pic credit: MTV
The Challenge: Ride or Dies features familiar faces and new competitors coming to the playing field in what some consider America’s fifth major sport.
Former champions Johnny Bananas, Laurel Stucky, Jordan Wiseley, and Veronica Portillo will be among the returning veteran stars.
Only one of last season’s rookies will return to compete, as Survivor USA star Michele Fitzgerald attempts to get further in the game than her first attempt.
Meanwhile, a new group of rookies will be hungry to make names for themselves in The Challenge history books, including Ravyn Rochelle.
She may not necessarily have the reality TV background that others do, but she appears to be a fierce competitor who manifested becoming part of the show into her reality. Now she’ll try to make Challenge champion part of that reality.

In a recently-revealed clip from The Challenge: Untold History, viewers can take a trip down memory lane with some of the Og cast members who were part of the show’s early evolution.
Initially, MTV’s The Challenge didn’t involve the extra-fancy production, an extensive cast of reality TV stars, or even a big money prize, as competitors roughed it in an Rv.
Those early years brought Real World and Road Rules together to see which cast might win bragging rights for various missions, among other random prizes they received. Money was on the line at times, but never near the amounts competitors battle for today.
The show’s earliest cast members included legends like The Godfather Mark Long, Darrell Taylor, Jon Brennan, Theo von Kurnatowski, and Veronica Portillo.

The Challenge has changed a lot throughout the years.
But one former cast member is looking for MTV to throw it all the way back.
Mark Long, who has appeared in the first Road Rules, as well as some of the earlier seasons of The Challenge, wants MTV to produce a season featuring original stars.
Long won the show two times and has a lot of fans.
After seemingly exiting the franchise in 2012, he has a pitch for a special season that would film a season in the U.S. across two weeks.
Currently, seasons film across two to three months and typically take the challengers to other parts of the world, something that might be difficult for some of the veteran cast members.
With families and careers, leaving everything behind for over two months is not something that everyone can agree to.
