Erotic thriller documentary We Kill For Love recently had its world premiere at the Overlook Film Festival and we have the first clip and poster!
"Written, produced, and directed by Anthony Penta, the doc goes in search of the lost and misunderstood world of the direct-to-video erotic thriller, an American film genre that once dominated late night cable television and the shelves of neighborhood video stores.
We Kill for Love stars filmmakers Andrew Stevens, Jim Wynorski, Fred Olen Ray; film stars Monique Parent, Amy Lindsay, Kira Reed Lorsch; film scholars Linda Ruth Williams, Abbey Bender and more.
Balancing film art with scholarship, We Kill For Love pulls back the curtain to reveal the heart and soul of a forgotten and often maligned film movement."
Director Anthony Penta shared, “We Kill for Love is part film essay, part documentary, and part casefile. It's a record of my prolonged investigation into a...

In 6:45, "a couple embarks on a weekend getaway only to find the island curiously deserted. After stumbling upon the town’s dark secret, they trigger a time loop, forcing them to relive a demented cycle of terror with seemingly no means of escape." In our latest Q&a, actress Augie Duke talks about the challenges of filming a time loop movie, her experience filming at a haunted location, and more!
What attracted you to the role of Jules and the story of 6:45?
I liked how real the relationship between Jules and Bobby felt. I liked her authenticity. Also, it was a chance to work with my real-life partner, Michael Reed. We have real chemistry, and it contributed to the believability of our roles.
What kind of preparation did you do for the role and story? Were there any specific reference movies or books that Craig Singer suggested?

Aoc has consistently churned out some of the best value gaming monitors on the market, offering a fantastic combination of performance and features for low prices. Now the company has entered the peripherals market with a new keyboard, mouse, and headset. So, can it achieve the same great-value excellence?
Well, $50/£42, the GK500 gets you a full-sized 104-key keyboard with Cherry Mx-style mechanical switches and full Rgb backlighting. That’s impressive, even if the switches are clones made by a company we’ve never heard of before – Outemu.
The styling of this keyboard is basic, with a thin baseplate that stretches no wider than the footprint of the keys themselves. On its top is a very thin layer of aluminium that’s painted black and has a bevel around its edges where the shiny metal shows through.

"Something happened on the island a few years ago." Well Go USA has revealed another official trailer for time loop horror thriller 6:45, made by filmmaker Craig Singer. This already opened last year, apparently although we never heard about it, and it lands on DVD coming up in March (which is what this new trailer is for). What if one of the best days of your life suddenly turned into your very worst nightmare? What if you were forced to relive that same day again and again? A couple embarks on a weekend getaway only to find the island curiously deserted. After stumbling upon the town’s dark secret, they trigger a time loop, forcing them to relive a demented cycle of terror with seemingly no means of escape. The film stars Michael Reed, Augie Duke, Armen Garo, and Thomas G. Waites. This is a very eclectic trailer that goes all over the place,...

Exclusive: Regal Cinemas will release Craig Singer’s independent film 6:45 exclusively in theaters in the U.S. and Canada on August 6
The director and former Disney creative executive Singer said the agreement marks the first time since the pandemic that the nation’s second largest chain has supported an independent horror release.
“As the country comes out of the pandemic, we can all use an escape from reality, and nothing does that quite like the movies. We’re thrilled that Regal will be distributing 6:45, giving [it] widest possible audience,” said Singer.
“There is only one way to truly enjoy a horror movie and that is on the big screen,” said Rob Westerling, Regal’s head film buyer. “Through our partnership with Cascrator Film & Media [Singer’s production company], we are excited to bring our guests the psychological thriller 6:45. This...

A Christmas Carol is the definitive Christmas story. Yes, you might try and argue it’s the nativity, but the volume of movie adaptations begs to differ, and I can tell your heart’s not in it. And yes, I see those of you rushing to the comments to tell us it’s Die Hard and I think you’re very big and clever.
But A Christmas Carol has everything, all the trappings of Christmas, that sliver of darkness running through the whole thing, and above all a strong seasonal message to remind us what Christmas is about. The story has been reimagined and retold endless times since Charles Dickens’ book came out, from textually accurate recreations such as A Muppet Christmas Carol (seriously) to modern-day reimagining like the Bill Murray vehicle, Scrooged.
And across all of these different retellings, the seasonal message is usually the first casualty. Scrooge’s...

Two bank robbers take their unwanted hostage into a seedy coastal motel in the dead of winter. When their boss doesn’t show up and their tickets to freedom go missing, the three of them must battle through their deteriorating mental state and find a way out before they turn on each other.
Among Them kicks off with a heist that has gone wrong… Ahhh those naughty heists, they rarely do what they are supposed to! Paranoia and cabin fever set in on our little band of merry men and things slowly unravel. As the opening credits roll, we can hear the soundtrack of the heist, and it is effective. you see. this is what clever film makers do when they do not have the budget.

Freshly divorced from American-International Pictures, Roger Corman leaps into the filmic mainstream with a fairly large-scale World War One aviation picture. He competes with the big studios but retains his nonconformist attitude: his retelling of the story of the Red Baron fixates on the theme of the death of chivalry in combat. For his star player Corman picks John Phillip Law, whose on-screen persona is a good fit for one of the first warrior aces of the sky.

How to shake up a mid-sixties slump at Hammer Films? It’s back to basics time, with Christopher Lee returning in a most unusual way: there wasn’t much left of Dracula at the finish of his first outing as the number one supernatural public enemy. Terence Fisher is also back, enlivening the third film in the series with some surprisingly excessive gore. Barbara Shelley’s superb performance makes her Hammer’s most self-possessed heroine.

We seek out the Christmas movies that happily struggle to invoke the traditional feeling of the season. Yippee ki-yay!
This article comes from Den of Geek UK.
Sick of Christmas? Already? Good, you've come to the right place. If you dread Christmas and you're not a wuss, this is the list for you. We've got senseless violence, we've got explosions, we've got monsters taking over a town. If you're still not feeling that Yuletide buzz, there's futuristic dystopias, secret societies, and the adventures of a counter-assassination expert who lost her memory. These are hard-edged and subversive movies that are set over the Christmas period.
A film that makes good use of a Christmas setting tends to explore duality. For this reason Christmas movies are often stories of two halves. A Christmas setting brings with it a set of expectations, and this is a situation that is ripe for subversion.
