The second of today's hotties lining up a Summer horror project is the stunning Olivia Wilde -below ('Tron: Legacy', 'Cowboys and Aliens'). Probably one of the scariest things in the world any of us have had to do is let a complete stranger into our lives. People, by nature, cause chaos, and you just never know what a person could be thinking. This is why I only talk to my action figures.
In any event, per Deadline, Olivia Wilde will star in and produce Meadowland, a psychological thriller that will be directed by Reed Morano from a script by Chris Rossi.
Wilde is producing with Matt Tauber, and Jennifer Levine will be executive producer.
Wilde plays a mom whose son disappears, a jolt that puts her on an unexpected and dangerous path toward acceptance as she seeks out a relationship with a neglected boy and watches it take an unexpected turn. Filming starts in July in New York.
Once again... this may or may not be Dread-worthy. If it's not... Strike It From Your Memory Forever!

"Real Housewives of Orange County" star Gretchen Rossi is engaged to her co-star and longtime boyfriend Slade Smiley, according to a report by In Touch. The mag says Gretchen proposed to Slade in a dramatic scene that will be televised.
"She proposed to him on top of the At&T building in La," says a source close to the couple. "She had him flown up there via helicopter." A rep for the show declined to comment on the report. The issue of marriage between this pair has been an ongoing "Real Housewives" storyline. Gretchen announced in a recent episode that since Slade finally has a J-o-b, "marriage is definitely on the horizon."
As for Slade, he wins barftastic quote of the week by telling InTouch, "We have such a fun, outgoing relationship. There isn't any aspect of Gretchen that I don't think is absolutely delicious!" Uh ... yeah.

No-one can be entirely sure how, when or why things went wrong for Meg Ryan; however, since 1998’s often parodied You’ve Got Mail in which she and Tom Hanks failed to relive the magic of the identically themed- but infinitely better written- Sleepless in Seattle, her output has degraded to the point of insignificance. For over ten years, Ryan has produced an endless stream of indistinct, fluffy, saccharine romantic comedies, coupled with the occasional generic aberration to which absolutely no one paid attention.
So after years of embarrassment- coupled with international mockery for her performance on Parkinson and increasing resemblance to Mickey Rourke- at her own irrelevance in front of the camera, she is set to make her debut behind it with Into The Beautiful.
Described by the film’s producers as, “a contemporary Big Chill with longtime friends reconnecting,” it sounds like exactly the sort of piece...

Everyone knows that Hollywood Word Jumble is a favorite game of ours. Every now and then, we seem to see ideas thrown into a blender, then the blender is thrown into a bigger blender, then shot into space. What falls to Earth is then used for movie ideas.
Apparently, writer/director Chris Rossi applied a similar idea for the casting of Lives Of Saints, a film about "intertwining story lines about a group of Angelinos seeking redemption for past mistakes."
(pleasedon'tbelikeCrashpleasedon'tbelikeCrashpleasedon'tbelikeCrash pleasedon'tbelikeCrashpleasedon'tbelikeCrashpleasedon'tbelikeCrash pleasedon'tbelikeCrashpleasedon'tbelikeCrashpleasedon'tbelikeCrash pleasedon'tbelikeCrashpleasedon'tbelikeCrash pleasedon'tbelikeCrash)
Ahem.
Anyway, shooting for Rossi's film starts next month. The cast couldn't be any more goddamn random: John Lithgow, Kat Dennings, Joe Anderson, Meg Ryan, Anthony Anderson, Esai Morales and Curtis "50 Fuckin' Cent" Jackson are all featured. That's a bizarre friggin' cast, but there's some solid talent in there. Kat Dennings is criminally underused, and not just because I have an embarrassing crush on her.

Now here's a group of actors I never thought I would see together in the same film! Meg Ryan, John Lithgow, Joe Anderson, Kat Dennings and 50 Cent have all been cast in a film called Lives of the Saints. This movie comes from writer-director Chris Rossi.
This is an ensemble story of intertwining story lines about a group of Angelinos seeking redemption for past mistakes.
Yeah, it's one of "those" movies, the first film to pop in my head when I here a plot line like that is Crash. Who knows how goo the movie will be, but it definitely has an interesting cast.

Joe Anderson ("Alistair" in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn) has just nabbed himself another new film, according to Deadline.
Reportedly, Anderson has signed on to star alongside 50 Cent and Meg Ryan in a film entitled Lives Of The Saints, "directed by Chris Rossi . . . about a group of Los Angeles residents, all wrestling with troubled pasts, who cross paths on a road they hope will lead to redemption."
Anderson's role in the film, Deadline reports, will be "a drifter trying to maintain a quick wit despite his diminishing circumstances."
Rather vague information for now, then, but still this is great news for Anderson.
This weekend, I picked up The Crazies, a horror film in which he has a principle role, and Anderson was positively great in it. Also, a lot of Twilight fans have passed along their praise for Anderson's work in Across The Universe (a clip ...

Next month, beginning on November 13th specifically, writer/director Chris Rossi begins shooting his ensemble drama Lives Of The Saints on location in Los Angeles. The script centers on a group of various L.A.-ites "seeking redemption for past mistakes," or something, according to Variety. Sounds like Crash without the racism and heavy-handedness. In other words, Magnolia.
A motley crew of actors have signed on to Saints, among them John Lithgow, Meg Ryan, Kat Dennings, Transamerica's Kevin Zegers, and newest Chelsea Handler-squeeze 50 Cent. I know what you're all thinking: Meg Ryan and Fiddy, together at last! We know. Big day.

He has a $200 million production contract locked up, but that isn’t stopping Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson from exploring other projects, separate from that deal.
He’ll be joining Meg Ryan, John Lithgow, Anthony Anderson, Kevin Zegars, Esai Morales and others in the ensemble drama Lives Of The Saints, for writer/director Chris Rossi.
The film tells the intertwining tales of a group of Los Angeles natives “seeking redemption for past mistakes, only to find that forgiveness comes from unlikely places.”
Not much more is available about what the individual stories will be.
Lensing is set to begin November 13.

David Henrie's directing debut will be premiered tomorrow on October 30 at 8/7c and the trailer has been released by the actor through his Twitter. In celebration of the Halloween fiesta, "Boo" presents a short webseries starring Tiffany Thornton and Samantha Droke among others.
There is no synopsis yet released to the public but it is known to involve seven friends. According to Just Jared Jr., it is inspired by a true story in the lives of seven real friends. The trailer, which is quite short at 18 seconds, also did not give a clue on the storyline. Defending the trailer's duration, Henrie tweeted, "super short cause it's a trailer of a short".
Other teen stars in the horror short are Francia Raisa, Chris Hunter, Brandon Smith, Allen Evangelista and Mark Hapka. On the director seat, Henrie is joined by Johnny Salvatore and Chris Rossi.
