In the aftermath of the departure of weekend opinion host Dan Bongino, Fox News intends to add a new panel show to its Saturday-night grid, while ending Steve Hilton’s Sunday-night program, “The Next Revolution.” Hilton will take a contributor role as he focuses on the launch of a non-partisan policy organization in California. Bongino and Fox News parted ways in April after failing to come to terms on a new contract.
“We are excited to launch a new dynamic weekend line-up that will further solidify our position as the number one cable news network for more than two decades,” said Megan Albano, the Fox News senior vice president who oversees weekend programming and the weekday panel show “The Five,” in a statement. “We thank Steve Hilton for his show’s contributions and look forward to continuing to feature his...

The Top 13 most-watched programs on cable news during the first quarter of 2016 are all on Fox News Channel. Megyn Kelly is one of the network’s biggest stars, but where does she rank among her colleagues when it comes to popularity? 13) The 11 p.m. Et repeat of “The O’Reilly Factor” is watched by more people than any show on CNN or MSNBC. 12) “The Real Story with Gretchen Carlson” averages 1.34 million viewers. 11) “Happening Now” with Jon Scott and Jenna Lee almost cracks the Top 10 programs on cable news. 10) “Shepard Smith Reporting” averages 1.43 million total viewers. 9) “Outnumbered” is an...

Fox News Channel finally announced the replacement program with which it will fill the void left when Megyn Kelly moved to primetime — Outnumbered. It’s kind of like The View, in that it’s a panel of women taking on the day’s top news/pop culture headlines — only with an Fnc spin in that it’s got one rotating slot for a guy, who’s, you know, outnumbered. The announcement comes the same day The View announced it had talked all of its current and former co-hosts — including the ones who left under a cloud — to return to the show May 15 to say so-long to Babs Walters, who is retiring as show on-air Den Mom, though she’s continuing as show exec producer. Outnumbered debuts Monday, April 28 at 12 Pm Et; Fox Report Weekend anchor Harris Faulkner and Fox Business Network’s Sandra Smith are among the panelists named today.

Fox News Watch today tackled the ongoing saga of Anthony Weiner and the media coverage of the sext-happy mayoral candidate. But after the fun and games, they also had some choice words for the New Haven Register for publishing an editorial likening Fox News, Ted Nugent, and Ann Coulter to the Kkk, only to offer an apology after being called out by Bill O'Reilly. Host Jon Scott suggested this may be a "signal that liberal media just doesn't like opposing views."...

The Supreme Court striking down Doma was an unquestionable victory for gay rights this week, but the panelists Fox News Watch wondered whether the media was being too celebratory in its coverage of the case. Host Jon Scott contrasted that coverage with the more straight-faced and grim manner in which they covered the Voting Rights Act. Mediaite's Joe Concha argued that the cable news coverage of gay marriage was way too lopsided in favor of it.

Fox News Watch‘s anchor Jon Scott will move to the specials unit where he will serve as anchor. Additionally, Kurtz will serve as an on-air analyst for programs throughout the week, while also writing a regular column on FoxNews.com, commenting on social media news, industry trends and the intersection of media and politics. “Howie is the most accomplished media reporter in the country,” said Fox News Evp Michael Clemente. “He’s also a master of social media trends, information good and bad,...

A Fox News anchor abruptly ended an interview when the guest criticized the news network. Jon Scott was interviewing Thomas Ricks about his book, "The Generals" when Ricks accused Fox News of hyping up the recent attack on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi.
According to the AP, Scott questioned Ricks as to why he would make such a claim when the attack resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including Christopher Stevens - the first U.S. Ambassador assassinated in more than three decades.
Ricks asserted the incident amounted to a "small firefight" and said, "I think that the emphasis on Benghazi has been extremely political, partly because Fox was operating as a wing of the Republican Party."
At that point, Scott thanked Ricks and turned to his co-anchor, who then threw to a commercial break.
