Set in a very Munnar-like fictitious town, the story revolves around Swati Shetty (Konkana Sen Sharma), a not-so-talented chef aspiring to open a Paris-inspired hotel one day. Married in an uber-rich family, her husband Prabhakar Shetty (Manoj Bajpayee) is the futile little brother to Arvind Shetty (Sayaji Shinde), who handles the drug business in the disguise of a tea plantation.

The upcoming season of Sex Education will be without Rakhee Thakrar. The actress, who played teacher Emily Sands in the Netflix dramedy, confirmed to Daily Star Sunday that she will not be returning for Season 4.
“I’m not part of the new series. I can’t really talk about why,” she told the publication, adding “But I’m so proud of the show and grateful to have been part of something so important. There is nothing bad about Sex Education.”
Deadline has reached out to Netlix for comment.
Thakrar follows the recent exits of Tanya Reynolds, who portrayed Lily since the series’ launch, Patricia Allison (aka Ola) who played Lily’s romantic interest, and Bridgerton‘s Simone Ashley, who announced her departure earlier this year. Thakrar also is an original cast member on the series.
“It’s just the natural progression of these shows,” Reynolds told UK’s Radio Times in an interview last month.

There are 171 shows submitted for drama series and 118 vying for comedy series at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards, but one show is missing from the ballot: Netflix’s “Sex Education,” the British dramedy created by Laurie Nunn. Variety has learned exclusively that the streamer and creatives have opted to submit for recognition at the upcoming International Emmys, and will not seek a Primetime Emmy nomination.

The show’s first season debuted on the streaming platform in January 2019, earning acclaim internationally and stateside. With a runtime varying between 47 and 60 minutes for each episode, Netflix and its creators saw the series lean more toward a lighter, comedic tone, which many critics and journalists agreed with, leading to its first submission in comedy series. However, the TV Academy didn’t see it that way, ultimately moving it to the drama series categories, where...

Since my relatively recent descent into Indian cinema, one of the elements that continuously impresses me is the diversity of the films produced in this vast country, with the many different cinemas. This time, I came across a noir-styled thriller, by first time director Shanker Raman.

Where Bollywood actresses go through a declining phase after marriage or their career has to take a backseat (even for a while), the very sexy actress Radhika Apte's (who was recently seen in Hunterr and Badlapur) case is otherwise. Though she has been in the film industry for quite some time, it's only after marriage Radhika came into limelight.
When we brought the same to her notice, Radhika Said, "Well I don't look at marriage the way you are talking about. It's hard to generalize but there is a tendency that if you are married, then you assume that your next step is having babies and basically not work. I find it very regressive. “Isn’t it unfortunate that you still don’t know where your heart lies?” says Shiv’s father to him. Shiv’s parents are worried about him. At twenty-three he is coddled and a little cocky, and totally aimless. But Shiv agrees with his father, so it’s perhaps not surprising that he sets off on what turns into a very personal and spiritual journey, a journey that shows the progress of his soul as he tries to figure out what his life means and what it is worth.
It’s a drastic step, and one that has consequences, both for Shiv (Sarang Sathaye), and for the family and friends he leaves behind, who miss him terribly and worry about him. But like the best of spiritual quests, the things we need are given and revealed only when we are ready for them. Along the way, Shiv meets people who change his life,...
