WME has signed prolific creator and multihyphenate Seth MacFarlane and his Fuzzy Door production company for representation, the agency announced on Wednesday.
MacFarlane is returning to WME after being repped by CAA since 2017.
MacFarlane became the youngest showrunner in television history at just 24 years old when his animated series “Family Guy” aired on Fox. The show, which aired its 400th episode late last year, has been renewed for its 22nd and 23rd seasons. It has garnered MacFarlane five Emmy Awards, four of which being in the outstanding voice-over performance category, making him a tied record-holder for the most voice-over Emmy wins of all time. MacFarlane also serves as co-creator, executive producer, and voice actor on “American Dad!,” which recently aired its 17th season finale.

There’s nothing as tempting as IP: Just ask the studio streaming titans of today, who are diving deep into their film catalogs to reboot and reimagine hit films from decades past.
Just one summer since slasher “I Know What You Did Last Summer” found new life as an Amazon Prime Video series, and it seems that all our favorite “old” movies are finding new life on streamers and networks alike.
CBS announced shortly after canning a slew of shows that a reboot of the 1994 Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis film “True Lies” will head to the network soon.
NBCUniversal also recently announced on May 12 a “re-framing” of Ben Stiller’s beloved 1994 burnout dramedy “Reality Bites,” which originally starred Winona Ryder and Ethan Hawke. The series is set to debut on Peacock, along with a bevy of other Universal titles being transformed for the small screen.

Aaliyah is getting the biopic treatment from Lifetime. Zendaya Coleman, star of The Disney Channel's "Shake It Up" and a contestant on Season 16 of "Dancing with the Stars," has signed on to play the late R&B singer in a new Original Movie on the network that will film this summer and premiere in the fall, Lifetime announced today. Based on the book "Aaliyah: More Than a Woman" by Christopher Farley, "Aaliyah: Princess of R&B" will chart the singer's rise from Star Search contestant at age 10 to internationally-recognized recording star (and budding actress) before her life was tragically cut short in a plane crash at the age of 22. In addition to starring, Zendaya (who paid homage to the late singer in the music video for her platinum-selling single "Replay") will also record four of Aaliyah's songs for the film, which is set to be directed by...

After announcing a biopic of late singer Whitney Houston, Lifetime is adding another movie about a fallen pop star to its schedule.
The network is set to make a film about the life of Aaliyah, the R&B singer who died in 2001, featuring current Disney star Zendaya Coleman in the title role. Coleman -- who professionally goes by only her first name, just like Aaliyah -- is the star of Disney Channel series "Shake it Up!," and last year completed a stint on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars." In addition to her similar choice of moniker, Coleman is also a singer, scoring a million-selling single from her 2013 self-titled debut album.
Aaliyah was just 22 when she died in a plane crash in the Bahamas after shooting a music video there. During her short lifetime, she frequently topped the charts with hits like "Try Again" and "Are You That Somebody," and had...

Despite the threat of Constance Sutton and the Illaria corporation overshadowing proceedings at the facility over the past two days, the threat of the Narvik virus continues to be a pressing concern, with a cure still nowhere in sight. Written by Mark Thomas Haslett
Directed by Bradley Walsh
Airs Fridays at 10 Pm on Syfy
The entrance of Illaria and Constance Sutton last week introduced a greater threat to Arctic Biosystems and, by extension, the Cdc team. As she soon proved, even Dr. Hatake was not considered a loyal ally, which made things bad for him, particularly combined with Daniel learning the truth about his heritage. This week’s episode focuses on the group’s efforts to stave off the threat presented by Illaria, in an exciting episode that shifts the power dynamics, and forces Dr. Farragut into a number of drastic actions.
The uneasy alliance formed between Dr. Hatake and Dr. Farragut this week is a fascinating one. While Alan clearly still distrusts Hiroshi, the presence of Constance Sutton and Illaria has proven, without a doubt, that there are larger threats to be worried about,...
