It’s a wrap for John Wentworth at CBS. The veteran public relations executive announced Tuesday that he will leave his post as executive vice president of communications at CBS Television Distribution in March 2017, ending a 33-year career at CBS and Paramount. In an email, Wentworth wrote that the interval “gives the company time to plan for my succession and gives me the chance to orderly transition my responsibilities to get ready for life outside CBS.” His exit was confirmed separately by another source at the company. Veteran CBS PR executive John Wentworth will retire from the company in March 2017 after 33.5 years. Wentworth, who serves as Evp Communications for CBS Television Distribution, unveiled his plans in an note to colleagues and friends. 20th Century Fox TV PR executive Tracey Raab has joined CBS TV Distribution as VP Communications. She will oversee publicity for the company’s flagship entertainment newsmagazine Entertainment Tonight and its offshoot The Insider. She will report to John Wentworth, Evp Communications, Ctd. Raab most recently was Executive Director of Media Relations for 20th TV, overseeing publicity and marketing campaigns for such primetime series as Modern Family, Last Man Standing and Sons Of Anarchy. Last month she won a Publicist Guild Award for her work on the Modern Family publicity campaign. This marks Raab’s return to the CBS family. Before 20th TV, she worked as a senior publicist at CBS.

Veteran PR executive Trisha Cardoso is finalizing a deal for the top PR post at CBS Corp-owned Showtime, vacated by Richard Licata who recently left to join his former boss Robert Greenblatt as Evp communications for NBC Entertainment. The search for Licata’s replacement was led by Showtime entertainment president David Nevins, who has known Cardoso for a long time. For Cardoso, who had been consulting for the past several years, this marks a return to Showtime, where she started her PR career in the 1980s.
