The Queen may be Great Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, but there’s another woman who forever changed the country’s monarchy: Wallis Simpson.
The American-born Duchess of Windsor, who died this week in 1986, is the reason Queen Elizabeth eventually took the throne. The judge sentenced Balfour to three terms of life in prison plus 120 years on other charges."You have the heart of an arctic night," Cook County Circuit Judge Charles Burns told Balfour. Yes yes yes..I know..we entertained this subject last month. However, in the tradition of Post, I am following up last in the process!
This subject has been of particular interest to me, and has sparked a lot of interest among my colleagues in Post Production. Discussing spotting is a subject unto itself as we have seen with all the fascinating articles and comments these past weeks. The focus this time will be on the advantages, disadvantages, pluses and minuses of spotting a project with the Composer And the Sound Designer present with the Director. Sitting down in a room, all together, with the same goal in mind... helping the Director tell the story. On the surface, it seems like a no-brainer---why Not do this? Save time and energy; reduce the classic 'conflicts' during the final mix; The left hand knows what the right hand is going to do...

One day after Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother were found shot to death in their Chicago home – and her nephew Julian King was kidnapped – the Oscar winner's sister Julia made an impassioned plea for her son's return. "I don't care who you are, just let the baby go," Julia Hudson said in a press conference held at the Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday. "I just want my son. He don't deserve this." An Amber Alert was issued for the boy, Julian King, 7, on Friday and named Julia Hudson's estranged husband, William Balfour, 27, as a suspect in the slayings.
