The first full-length trailer for Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Three has just hit (via Toonado.com), and it teases what looks to be a high-stakes finale to this animated trilogy (and the Tomorrowverse as we know it).
With the Anti-Monitor on the loose, a whole host of heroes assemble to save the Multiverse, but it looks like that will be easier said than done when they also have Lex Luthor to contend with. Several other villains are also spotted, including The Joker, Scarecrow, and Two-Face.
In terms of cameos, the trailer ends with another Batman: The Animated Series tease. Batman Beyond also appears, but perhaps the biggest surprise comes when we return to the world of the Super Friends!
The Saturday morning cartoon aired between 1973 and 1985 on ABC and was produced by Hanna-Barbera. That classic animation style returns here and we're hoping the movie has even...

The Killing Joke is one of those films that would have been a challenge to adapt. Despite the film being adapted into an animated feature, there was a lot of backlash about how the story was treated. Regardless, Bruce Timm had certain reservations about the adaptation from the beginning of production.
Batman: The Killing Joke
Timm revealed to Empire what his idea for the film was, and that pretty early on in the project, there was one aspect of the film that was set in stone from the very beginning. The film made a lot of changes from the source material, but this bit was to be kept as is, Bruce Timm revealed.

Fans love a good violent Batman movie once in a while, but when a promising animated film gets censored after it proved to be the perfect avenue to channel the grim and grotesque nature of the franchise, it surely was a massive disappointment for the audience.
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker almost gave fans what they wished for, but after a tragic shooting accident that happened in 1999 at the Columbine High School, the media’s portrayal of violence was put in question. This forced Warner Bros to distribute a censored version, while the original cut was released later in 2002.

Whenever it comes to the Dcau, fans often look back to Bruce Timm’s masterful work on Batman: The Animated Series, which by many is still considered the peak of the caped crusader. However, the Dcau isn’t just limited to Btas, as there have been several different interpretations of the iconic character in the realm of animation, with one of them being The Batman.
Not to be confused with Matt Reeves’ The Batman, The Batman Animated Series was a fun reimagining of Batman and its coterie of supervillains, which scored well critically throughout its run. One thing that fans found odd about the show was the introduction of Batgirl as Bruce’s first sidekick, but the writers can’t be blamed for this decision.

When it comes to Bruce Timm and the world of Superheroes, he has become a timeless entity. Having created several legendary shows, it is clear that his genius knows no bounds. He has an innate understanding of the characters he brings to the screen, breathing life into them in a way very few have managed to.
Bruce Timm’s Batman: The Animated Series
Considering just how much success he has gotten for his works, it is safe to assume that the animator knows what he is talking about. Many years ago, he gave quite an interesting reason why he refuses to make a Justice League series. While he did not stick to this prediction for long, the reason that he gave for his initial hesitation is one that very few have managed to get past.

Remember watching DC Animated Universe and being captivated by the dark brilliance of “Batman: The Animated Series” or the epic team-ups of Justice League? A huge part of that magic came from the visionary hand of Bruce Timm, a true titan of DC animation.

But even the best storytellers face roadblocks, and for Timm, one such hurdle was the infamous Bat-embargo. This wasn’t a supervillain plot, but a real-world decision that had a lot of effects on DC in the long term.
Suggested“The idea of Michael Keaton doing it is cool”: Batman Beyond Live Action Originally Considered Another Hollywood Legend for Old Bruce Wayne Before the U-Turn
While the period mostly derailed the Dcau’s expansion, Timm was not much bothered by this decision.

Batman and Joker are two of the most beloved DC comics characters of all time, and both have been played by numerous actors on the screen. However, when it comes to the best Batman-Joker pairing, fans will wholeheartedly agree that Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill were the best hero-villain duo they have ever come across. With films like Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker and The Batman Superman Movie: World’s Finest, both actors have proven why they are considered to be the best of the best.

Not only was their voice as Batman and Joker loved by the fans, but the two actors also had a great time working together. Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill’s Batman: The Killing Joke sure was a controversial addition to the collection, but that didn’t stop them from making the most of it.

Michael Keaton is regarded as one of the finest actors in the entertainment industry who gained worldwide recognition when he starred as Bruce Wayne a.k.a., Batman in 1989’s Batman and later 1992’s Batman Returns. Directed by Tim Burton, the DC superhero movie was only given a green signal after Burton’s 1988 Beetlejuice was a success.
Keaton’s casting was considered a controversy at the time since the actor had been pigeonholed as a comic actor and fans along with critics weren’t sure if he could portray a serious character like Batman. The actor’s performance was highly lauded by the audience and the critics after the movie was released. The actor recently reprised the character for 2023’s The Flash and was later asked about the future of his Batman in Dcu.

Christian Bale’s The Dark Knight trilogy is famously one of the best adaptations of the character to have ever graced a screen. Not only is the actor perfect in his role as the Batman, dedicating everything he had to the role, the supporting cast, action, and design are perfect. The cherry on top, however, is Christopher Nolan and his award-winning direction.
Christian Bale in The Dark Knight Rises
Calling the three films perfect would be the best way to describe them. Considering just how well-thought out the films were, it is surprising to find out that the third film was going to have a completely different story. One that can be used for another film as it introduced one of the most important characters in The Batman’s story, as well as a beloved character from the comics.

Completed yet shelved by Warner Bros Discovery, Snowpiercer season 4 will finally get an airing thanks to a deal with AMC.
Another victim of cost-cutting at Warner Bros Discovery, sci-fi series Snowpiercer was unceremoniously scrapped in January 2023 – a decision made after production had already completed on what was planned as its fourth and final season. Snowpiercer therefore joined the likes of Batgirl and Coyote Vs Acme in a grim list of tax write-offs at the studio.
There’s now good news, however: AMC has acquired the rights to Snowpiercer, and there are now plans to stream the first three seasons on AMC+ this year, while the fourth and final season will finally stream in 2025.
“Snowpiercer is an edge-of-your-seat thrill ride with a loyal fanbase – similar to the passionate fandoms we serve across our biggest franchise series – and a welcome addition to AMC and AMC+,” said AMC executive Ben Davis in a statement to Variety.

The final season of Snowpiercer has finally found a home.
The fourth season of the sci-fi drama will air on AMC after the company acquired the rights to the Tomorrow Studios-produced series. It comes after TNT scrapped the show last year as part of a wider Warner Bros. Discovery content write down strategy.
Deadline revealed in January 2023 that the fourth season wouldn’t air on its original home, as part of a slew of content cuts that also including the axing of Batgirl, Abrams’ HBO drama Demimonde, and TBS series such as The Big D, Chad and Kill The Orange Bear.
It is the latest series that AMC has saved after being scrapped elsewhere; the network bought Captain Nemo series Nautilus after it was cut by Disney+.

Jason Momoa belongs to a small group of absolutely massive actors who are also genuinely funny as hell, like John Cena and Alan Ritchson. In some of his best roles, Momoa can be charismatic and funny, but also intimidating and a strong physical presence on screen. It's why he works great in "The Bad Batch" and as Aquaman, why he stole every scene he's in as Duncan Idaho in "Dune," and why Dante Reyes is one of the best "Fast & Furious" villains ever.
And yet, this is Hollywood, so of course Momoa was mostly seen as just a big scary dude after his breakthrough role in "Game of Thrones." Sure, audiences love bad guys, but they don't necessarily root for them. So it came as a big surprise when, in 2014, Momoa was cast as Arthur Curry aka Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe.

When making The Dark Knight films, Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan had a pact that they would walk away if they were fortunate enough to make three films. The pair stayed true to this vision and concluded their Batman adventure after The Dark Knight Rises. But if Nolan were to make a potential fourth film in the series, one fan had the perfect villain and actor suggestion for the Oppenheimer director.
Fan creates a trailer for a potential fourth film in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy
The fan made a concept trailer in 2012 with clips from previous films and chose The Riddler as the villain for the film. The fan’s choice of actor to play The Riddler was the Oscar-winning actor Casey Affleck. While the fan’s idea of a fourth film never came to fruition, it still has a lot of potential.

Warners Bros has screened their axed Coyote vs. Acme to around 12 buyers we hear with a rigid buy price of $70M+; which is how much the animated live-action hybrid movie cost.
Netflix and Paramount put forth bids, which we told you about, but they were lower than the $70M asking price (between $30M-$50M), therefore in Warner’s eyes, rivals didn’t want the feature for what it cost.
What Deadline has received clarity on is that Warner Bros took a $70M writedown on Q3 earnings, not the upcoming Q4. Nonetheless, the movie, which the Burbank, CA lot decided back in early November not to release — remains in purgatory. That said, we hear the door isn’t officially closed on Coyote vs. Acme‘s prospects yet — it’s just that the Coyote could wind up in the cave with Batgirl.

It looks like the Coyote vs. Acme movie starring John Cena won’t see the light of day after all. According to a report in TheWrap, the hybrid live-action/animated film hasn’t found a new distributor after Warner Bros. turned down offers from multiple would-be buyers.
This past November, Warner Bros. confirmed it was permanently shelving Coyote vs. Acme for a tax write-off. Following public outcry, the studio reversed course just days later, allowing the filmmakers to shop the project to other distributors.
However, TheWrap reports that Warner Bros. was looking for a hefty asking price, effectively torpedoing any chance of a sale. Netflix, Amazon, and Paramount reportedly submitted “handsome offers” to acquire the movie.
In a “take it or leave it” scenario, Warner Bros. held steadfast in seeking $75 – $80 million — double the amount of $35 – $40 million it would make on the tax write-off — and didn’t take any counteroffers.

Filming on the movie started in July 2021 and wrapped later that year. Now, Variety reports that post-production delays have contributed to the cancelation of the movie.

Filming on the movie started in July 2021 and wrapped later that year. Now, Variety reports that post-production delays have contributed to the cancelation of the movie.
The movie was to “take place one year after the husband of Berry’s character mysteriously vanishes from their rural farm. Now a single mother, Sara Morse and her children discover an extraterrestrial object underneath their home. It (hopefully) leads them to discover the truth about the patriarch’s disappearance.”
Molly Parker and Omari Hardwick also starred. Halle was even seen on...

Alicia Silverstone was a bright light in the otherwise maligned 1997 superhero movie “Batman & Robin,” playing Batgirl opposite George Clooney’s Batman. Although Clooney has distanced himself from the role in previous years, he showed up in 2023’s “The Flash” in a multiverse cameo. While Silverstone was at the Variety Studio presented by Audible to discuss her new Sundance film “Krazy House,” she was asked about whether or not she’d put the cape back on.
“If you arrange that I will do it!” she answered with approval.
Much like a trip to the multiverse, “Krazy House” is a film that plays fast and loose with perception and reality. Nick Frost and Silverstone — along with Gaite Jansen and Walt Klink, who play their kids — are the Christians, a devout family living in a ’90s sitcom. But their world is turned upside down and the fabric of their reality is ripped...

At the end of Alan Moore and Brian Bolland’s 1988 one-shot Batman: The Killing Joke, the Joker lays out his worldview in plain terms. After testing his theory that “one bad day” could make even the most decent person into a madman like himself, the Joker tells his nemesis, “It’s all a joke! Everything anybody ever valued or struggled for… it’s all a monstrous, demented gag!”
Even more than the grisly sights of The Killing Joke—in which the Clown Prince of Crime sets out to prove his theory by brutalizing Batgirl Barbara Gordon and tormenting her father Commissioner Gordon—that line has set the course of Joker stories of the past several decades. Fans and creators alike try to push the Joker to edgier extremes, forgetting how Batman answers when his nemesis asks why he isn’t laughing. “Because I’ve heard it before,” he responds. “And...

After a brief explosion during the pandemic, the comics industry is undergoing an existential crisis. It faces tumultuous sales at local comic shops, and the creative malaise audiences felt this year in the superhero movie genre is well-reflected on the publishing side of Marvel and DC, the industry’s two biggest publishers. To say that most of the output from these companies lacks spark is to put it mildly.
Still, there were plenty of bright spots this year for the medium. While Mattel’s Barbie was a hit on the big screen, it was Hasbro’s Transformers comic that ruled the toy-inspired genre in print. And though Marvel’s actual comic books struggled creatively this year, a number of creators managed to craft moving and innovative stories inspired by Marvel (see: I Am Stan, a graphic novel biography of Stan Lee and The Super Hero’s Journey).

Warner Bros Discovery is circling a possible merger with Paramount – but that’d put its CEO, David Zaslav, in charge of two studios. Sigh.
I’ve never met David Zaslav.
For all I know, the CEO of Warner Bros Discovery may be a lovely, caring man. He may spend his evenings devouring movies, checking on the wellbeing of his staff, and adopting puppies. I hope that’s the case.
This piece isn’t about the personal side of the man. There’s too much of that out there in entertainment reporting, and I want no part of it.
Almost as much as, on a professional level, I want David Zaslav to have no part at all of Paramount Pictures. I think he’s become a totem for much that’s wrong with modern movie studios.
News broke overnight that David Zaslav has had a discussion with his opposite number at Paramount,...

A new report spills a few details on the ongoing moves behind the scenes as Warner Bros hovers its finger threateningly over Coyote Vs Acme’s ‘delete button’.
A couple of weeks ago, we covered the widely-circulated story that Warner Bros’ Coyote vs. Acme may have avoided the same sad fate as Batgirl and Scoob! Holiday Haunt .
By ‘sad fate’ of course, we mean the tireless work of lots of creative people getting deleted by Warner Bros as part of a tax write-off. When the studio announced it would be doing the same thing again with its live action/animation hybrid project, Coyote vs. Acme, things swiftly tuned ugly, at least according to accounts that you’ve likely seen in the trades.
Filmmakers across the board reportedly cancelled scheduled meetings with Warner Bros and one unnamed filmmaker told Deadline: “We have a project over at Warners in development. We’re...

By canceling movies like Batgirl and Coyote vs. Acme, Warner Bros. has made itself the target of much disdain and mockery from moviegoers. To sink hundreds of millions of dollars into projects only to decide that, no, we won’t release them after all, is quite a move. Some might call it insane or a power trip or irresponsible. But some might call it courageous. Ok, it’s just one guy that’s saying that: Warner Bros. Discovery CEO and president David Zaslav, who seems more concerned about tax write-offs than releasing films.
Speaking at an event this week (via IndieWire), David Zaslav said of the discarded films, “We’ve spent the $100 million dollars and if we don’t release it, it’s gone. We don’t have any real benefit from it…The question is, should we take certain of these movies and open them in the theater and...

In 2006, CBS began the meticulous process of remastering the original "Star Trek" series for release on Blu-ray and on HD DVD (remember those?). The live-action sequences were to be seen in high-definition for the first time, and the new versions were extrapolated from surviving 35mm masters. The show's special effects were to be recreated using modern CGI techniques, as modern HD TV screens would have made the original effects stand out in an awkward way. The release of the "remastered" Treks caused some debate among Trekkies. Was it exciting to see a TV series from 1966 brushed up to look as modern as possible, or should the shoddiness of the original be maintained for reasons of aesthetic purity? Luckily, unlike the "Special Editions" of "Star Wars," both the old versions and the new versions are readily available on Blu-ray.
The debate, however, will eternally remain if it's better to watch "Star Trek...

Reading Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong, the new intercompany crossover between DC Comics and Legendary Films, is like watching a 12-year-old win a $25,000 shopping spree: toys joyfully piled atop each other while you wonder how they’re all going to fit in his room. Talking with Jlgk writer Brian Buccellato, one gets the sense that writing it is the same way. “The struggle is we have 30 pages per issue to fit the story in, and the big, giant monsters, we want to give them space,” he tells Den of Geek magazine. “How do I navigate the big moments and the opportunities for Christian [Duce, artist on Jlgk] to [draw] awesome pinup action shots with getting everybody in there and making sure they all get their due?”
The answer to Buccellato’s question is, apparently, to shout Yolo and keep escalating. The book reads like a gleeful “yes, and” exercise. Toyman...

The character of The Mandarin first appeared in the pages of Marvel Comics back in 1964, created by Don Heck and Marvel bigwig Stan Lee. In John Coates' 2014 book "Don Heck: A Work of Art," Heck admitted that the Mandarin was more Lee's idea, as he wanted an old-fashioned Fu Manchu-like villain to face off against Iron Man, one of the company's B-list characters. A lot of the cliches and stereotypes embodied by Dr. Fu-Manchu (a villain character from a 1913 pulp novel by Sax Rohmer) transferred directly into the Mandarin. The Mandarin is a supervillain from China and was initially drawn as a racist caricature.
In the original comics, the Mandarin possessed 10 magical rings, salvaged from a crashed alien spaceship. He was one of Iron Man's earliest nemeses. The character has stubbornly remained in the background of Marvel comics for decades.

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav “stars” in a deepfake video released on Friday to promote the studios’ “new process we call shelving.”
Zaslav has been dragged across the industry for his now-reversed Nov. 9 decision to shelve the already completed “Coyote Vs. Acme.” After significant backlash, and a call from Texas congressman Joaquin Castro for an FTC investigation into the practice, the movie will now be shopped to other studios.
“Myself and the people ruining… running, people running Warner Bros. love movies,” the CGI CEO beams in the clip. “Movies are one of my favorite forms of content.”
The parody is from “Jimmy Kimmel Live! “writer and director Jacob Reed, the same man behind the plane that flew over the studios with the message, “Pay your writers, you AI-holes” during the writers’ strike.

More Harlivy is on the way.
Max has renewed raunchy, violent animated series “Harley Quinn” for Season 5, just a couple months after Season 4 finished its run. The animated DC show, starring Kaley Cuoco as Harley Quinn and Lake Bell as Poison Ivy, has proven to be a hit for Max, and it even has its own spinoff, “Kite Man: Hell Yeah,” coming in 2024.
“‘Harley Quinn’ has raised the comedic crowbar with every new season. We’re excited to continue this partnership with Max and take our biggest swing yet for Season 5,” said Peter Girardi, Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming at Warner Bros. Animation, in a statement.
In Season 4, Harley began working with the Bat-Family, including Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl, while Ivy assumed her new role as the CEO of the Legion of Doom. As Harley started to embrace her more heroic endeavors, she and Ivy butted heads in their relationship.

Oscar-winning filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have given the much-talked-about Coyote vs. Acme his seal of approval, describing the film as “delightful.”
Lord and Miller, the producers behind the animated hits Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and The Lego Movie franchise, took to X on Tuesday night to reveal that they had seen Coyote and attested to its quality.
“I saw Coyote Vs Acme and it’s delightful,” Miller tweeted. “Funny, charming, good physical comedy timing, with a surprising amount of heart. I hope several studios go after it so the world can see all the good work people did.”
“Coyote Vs Acme is wonderful. @dgreenmachine nails it,” Lord tweeted. “Hilarious smart existential and moving and makes this all-time character more relevant than ever.

It sounds like Coyote Vs Acme might be heading to a rival studio after all – and we’ve got some very angry filmmakers to thank.
Yesterday, we reported that it appeared Coyote Vs Acme might be saved after all following a weekend of rotten PR for Warner Bros. Discovery, which announced it was canning the finished $70m film for a $30m tax refund last week.
Now, with confirmation coming from The Hollywood Reporter, it seems that info was right on the money – and it sounds like the industry’s creative community weren’t happy, instructing their agents to cancel meetings with the studio in the wake of the news.
But now that Warner Bros. Discovery have made something of an about turn, the filmmakers aren’t exactly rushing back, instead adopting what the Reporter describes as “a wait-and-see approach”. Presumably, they’re waiting to see if it sells, and if...

Warner Bros might finally be learning to undelete films following its Coyote Vs Acme debacle: now it should revisit its disastrous cull of Batgirl and Scoob! 2.
It’s been a difficult week for Warner Bros Discovery, in a year that’s not been shy of them. Not that filmmakers and film fans are offering much sympathy for the company, which is in danger of making a habit of canning completed films.
The story so far.
Following its 2022 decision to scrap both Batgirl and Scoob! 2: The Holiday Haunt, a pair of pretty much completed movies that collectively had cost over $120m to make, it threw the anvil last week on Coyote Vs Acme.
As film critic Robbie Collin wrote on whatever Twitter’s called now, “Why would anyone work for a studio that makes a habit of this?”
And that’s the problem. Doing it once? A nasty one-off. Twice?...

Let's kick some ice!
If there's one thing that Batman fans can agree on, it's likely that "Batman & Robin" is easily the worst Batman movie ever made. It's cheesy, nonsensical, and for some reason, it just doesn't work as well as Joel Schumacher's previous campy Dark Knight adventure, "Batman Forever." Even Bruce Wayne himself, George Clooney, can't help but mock his turn as Gotham's superhero.
However, there is something to be said about "Batman & Robin" basically being so bad that you can't help but enjoy how much of a disaster it is. The absolutely awful version of Bane, Arnold Schwarzenegger's terrible ice puns as Mr. Freeze, and Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson competing over who gets to fertilize Poison Ivy's flowers -- there's something for everyone to point and laugh at.
At the same time, you can't deny that every single one of the chief characters...

With Road Runner-like speed, Warner Bros. Discovery has reversed its decision to bury Coyote vs. Acme.
The studio will now allow director Dave Green to shop his live-action/animation hybrid movie to other potential buyers instead of shelving the project for a tax write-off, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Amazon is said to be a contender, with screenings for potential buyers taking place this month. Puck was first to report the news of the reversal.
The move comes days after the The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Coyote vs. Acme would become Warners third already-shot film to get shelved after previously nixing nearly completed projects Batgirl and Scoob! Holiday Haunt in August 2022.
After Batgirl and Scoob! were dumped, a group of filmmakers with business at the studio started a text chain — a support group of sorts — to share their hopes and their anxieties, as well as encouragement and tips for navigating the studio.

Last week, filmmakers, critics and movie fans showed a rare, completely united front in castigating the move by Warner Bros. to lock another of its projects away in a vault, preferring to take a tax write-down instead of releasing it, as with Batgirl and Scoob! Holiday Haunt last year. The new movie was Coyote Vs. Acme, which blends CG Wile E. Coyote with live-action John Cena and more. Now, after the outcry, Puck brings word that executives are reportedly changing their minds and allowing the movie's producers to shop it elsewhere.

Filming for the Coyote vs. Acme movie starring John Cena completed in 2022, but audiences won’t ever get to see the finished product. On Thursday, Warner Bros. confirmed that the film has been permanently shelved in favor of a tax write-off.
A Looney Tunes hybrid film produced by James Gunn, Coyote vs. Acme was first announced in December 2020 and reportedly cost around $72 million to make, with principal photography wrapping last year in New Mexico. It was originally slated for release on Max on July 21st, 2023, and later considered for theatrical release, but was eventually removed from the Warner Bros. release calendar in April 2022 (with the July 21st release date ultimately going to Barbie instead). Now, the confirmation that it’s been shelved is arriving after a change-up at Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and the ascent of its new leader, Bill Damaschke, who is seeking to prioritize theatrical releases over streaming titles.

The financial axe of Warner Bros. has fallen on another film. Following in the shelved footsteps of Batgirl and Scoob! In another maneuver by the David Zaslav-run Warner Bros Discovery to kill movies, we hear on very good authority that Warner Bros will not be releasing the hybrid live-action/animated Coyote vs. Acme, with the conglom taking an estimated $30M write-down on the $70M production. We understand the write-down for the pic was applied to the recently reported Q3.
This reps the third time that Zaslav’s Warner Bros has pulled the plug on a movie greenlighted by the previous Warner Media administration, the other two being the Max-destined Batgirl and the animated Scoob Holiday Haunt!
The difference here is that Coyote vs. Acme is a completed movie with very good test scores, 14 points above the family norm. We’re told that the cash-strapped Warners finds that it’s not worth the cost to release the film theatrically or to sell to other buyers (and there are parties who...

A little over a year after the shelving of Batgirl sent shockwaves throughout Hollywood, Warner Bros. is putting another of its films in the studio vault.
Warners no longer plans to release Coyote vs. Acme, a live-action, CG animation hybrid that completed principal photography last year in New Mexico. The move follows veteran animation executive Bill Damaschke taking over Warner Animation Group earlier this year.
“For three years, I was lucky enough to make a movie about Wile E. Coyote, the most persistent, passionate, and resilient character of al time,” filmmaker Dave Green wrote on X after this story initially published. “I was surrounded by a brilliant team, who poured their souls into this project. … Along the ride, we were embraced by test audiences who rewarded us with fantastic scores.”
The feature, which sources believe cost around $72 million to make, had key Warners talent involved in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

What separates Loki from the rest of Marvel’s Disney+ series is its bold and inspired choices across every department, and chief among them is Natalie Holt’s genre-bending score.
The British composer brought the otherworldly sound of the theremin back to the fore, calling to mind the sci-fi and genre films of the ‘50s. She also created instant emotion through the nyckelharpa, a Nordic instrument that has both fiddle and harp qualities. The result of Holt’s efforts has led to one of Marvel’s most memorable scores, if not the most, as well as two Emmy nominations and two high-profile jobs as the composer of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Batgirl.
On Loki season two, Holt has doubled down on experimentation alongside her thereminist, Charlie Draper. She even cameoed as one of the band members who performed in the 1890s beer hall that director Kasra Farahani’s “1893” recreated. In between setups,...

Todd McFarlane has unveiled the upcoming figures based around the much-maligned Batman & Robin, which brought the franchise back to camp territory in a big way. And while the movie itself may not have the devoted fanbase of, say, any of the others, the figures themselves do kick some ice!
In a recent Instagram video, Todd McFarlane showed off the Batman & Robin figures of Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Poison Ivy. Already in boxes and marked as “production pieces”, the figures offer pretty darn good likenesses of the actors: “big, bad George Clooney” (McFarlane’s words), Chris O’Donnell, Alicia Silverstone, and Uma Thurman. McFarlane also praised the details in the outfits themselves, particularly ogling Poison Ivy’s dry brush and makeup details. He did, however, stop short of pointing out the Bat-nipples, but don’t worry, they are indeed present.
