Extra will be back for a 31st season. The Emmy-winning entertainment news series has been renewed by Fox Televisions Stations and will return this fall. The renewal marks the sixth season of Extra on the Fox stations.
The show, which focuses on breaking entertainment and pop culture news with interviews with newsmakers and celebrities, is led by Billy Bush and a group of correspondents including senior correspondent/weekend co-hosts Melvin Robert and Mona Kosar Abdi, and correspondents Megan Ryte and Terri Seymour.
Helmed by veteran executive producers Theresa Coffino and Jeremy Spiegel, Extra offers a half-hour edition every weekday and an original hour-long weekend installment for 52 weeks a year. The series is produced by Telepictures Productions in association with Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, and is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.

Andrew Dymburt and Kenneth Moton are getting new roles at ABC News, with Dymburt being named co-anchor of the overnight broadcasts World News Now and America This Morning, and Moton returning to the D.C. bureau.
Dymburt joined ABC News last year as a multi-platform reporter based in Washington, and since then has covered the pandemic, the Capitol riot, the 2020 presidential election and Joe Biden’s administration. He previously covered breaking news and politics at Wsvn-tv in South Florida.
Moton started at ABC News in 2015 as a multi-platform reporter in D.C., and covered politics including the 2016 election. In 2019, he was named co-anchor of ABC News Now and America This Morning, and led overnight coverage of major news stories along with Janai Norman and then Mona Kosar Abdi. He also reported on the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol and the Derek Chauvin trial. He previously worked as a reporter at Wpvi-tv in Philadelphia.

Robin Thede and Matt Rogers have joined HBO Max‘s upcoming dog grooming competition series “Haute Dog,” which premieres Sept. 24. Rogers will be the show’s host, and Thede is joining celebrity dog grooming expert Jess Rona as a judge. Each episode of “Haute Dog” puts three dog groomers to the test over two rounds of challenges, with the judges deciding who wins “Best in Show” and a grand prize of $10,000. “Haute Dog” is produced by Jax Media with Rona, Tony Hernandez, Brooke Posch, Séamus Murphy-Mitchell and Nicolle Yaron and Abi McCarthy as executive producers. (McCarthy also serves as showrunner.)
