Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans were dealt a low blow this week when it was revealed Below Deck Med will hit Bravo airwaves after the Og Below Deck ends.
It’s that time of year again, when Captain Glenn Shephard and his Parsifal III crew should be gracing our TV screens.
Ever since Below Deck Sailing Yacht premiere in 2020, it has aired after Below Deck late spring seasons.
However, as Monsters and Critics previously Below Deck Med Season 9 will hit Bravo airwaves after Below Deck Season 11 wraps up.
The news has Below Deck fans outraged for several reasons including wanting Below Deck Sailing Yacht back on air and having Below Deck Med overload.
X (formerly Twitter) has been on fire since on fire about the sudden Below Deck show switch-up.

Below Deck fans were stunned when Captain Lee Rosbach left the show, and a few days ago, the other captains in the Bravo franchise praised him for his role. Additionally, they all opened up about how they started their careers at sea. Captains Jason Chambers, Sandy Yawn, Glenn Shephard, Kerry Titheradge, and Lee all opened up.
Captain Lee Rosbach Helmed The First Episode Of The Bravo Show
Bravo launched the sailing show just over ten years ago, and Captain Lee immediately became fans’ favorite. Actually, some people blamed Captain Sandy Yawn for his departure as she took over from him when he was ill. A feud erupted after she fired one of the crew without first checking in with Captain Lee.

Captain Jason Chambers quickly became a fan favorite from the moment he first appeared on Below Deck Down Under.
The hunky captain had Below Deck fans and his own crew members gushing over him.
However, Captain Jason had no idea the show was such a big deal before Below Deck Down Under aired.
The Bravo personality also didn’t realize how much his life would change from the show.
Boy, has it ever changed! That was proved more than ever at BravoCon last year when all the ladies wanted a piece of the hot captain.
As Below Deck Down Under fans anxiously wait for Season 3, Captain Jason has revealed his initial thoughts about the yachting franchise.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Gary King had a very unexpected and surprising reunion this week.
Ahead of Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Gary has been taking time to travel.
The other day, Gary took to his Instagram Stories to share he reunited with his Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 fling, Alli Dore.
Gary has been traveling all around Australia, and apparently, Alli carved out some time for him.
The two have a history after catching feelings for each other in Season 2, but in true Gary fashion, he messed it up by having sex with Deckand Sydney Zaruba.
It was a big mess because Sydney also had a thing for Gary, who kept saying they were just friends, only to have his flirty ways come out when drinking, which led to problems with Alli.
Despite the past drama, it was smiles all around for this Below Deck Sailing Yacht reunion.

Part 1 of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 reunion didn’t uncover why chief engineer Colin MacRae had a lot of “explaining” to do, but the crew did get into Gary King and Mads Herrera’s boatmance. Plus, chief stew Daisy Kelliher and Captain Glenn Shephard’s rocky season working together.
During the reunion, Kelliher admitted she needs either no comment or reinforcement. “I think starting with a positive,” she said. “Also, for me, the feedback felt very minuscule.”
Shephard said Kelliher works very hard, but he wanted to find a way to make sure a stew was available to the guests more often. “It doesn’t mean that I’m not happy overall,” he said. “I love working with Daisy.”
She also said she turned down her radio when they were docking the boat, which was when the guest was injured.

The wild Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guest smackdown left stew Lucy Edmunds’ jaw on the ground and even pushed her to tears out of sheer exhaustion and disgust.
The final group of charter guests viciously fought only hours into their charter after getting way too drunk before their first dinner was served. Edmunds witnessed some of the behavior firsthand when she and stew Mads Herrera delivered laundry to the guest cabins.
She looked shocked on the show and said she continues to be shocked even a year later. “Just wait and see,” she teased to Showbiz Cheat Sheet.
Adding, “Heavy. Even when I see it I definitely know I’m gonna be shocked too. It happened all so quickly. You’re exhausted and some people, you know, I just don’t get how they behave.”

The “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” cast is reuniting (virtually) to dish on the tumultuous latest season with Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live”.

More than once Captain Glenn Shephard warned the charter guest throuple on Below Deck Sailing Yacht that if they get “aggro,” they are off the boat.
The trio of lovers got so drunk early in the charter, they ended up fighting to the point where the captain had to step in. How bad does it get and does Captain Glenn have to bounce the guests off of Parsifal III?
How did the ‘aggro’ throuple behavior start on ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’?
The entire group of charter guests started pounding drinks almost immediately, but trouble started rumbling when Randy “Ray,” Brad’s husband, snarked that chief stew Daisy Kelliher was being too slow with the cocktails. Words were starting to slur and it was clear that many of the guests reached the point of no return.

Without going into detail, Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guests Bryan Guarnieri and Erik (Rob) Funderburk preferred their sailing experience over chartering a Below Deck superyacht with Captain Lee Rosbach at the helm.
The couple originally appeared on Below Deck Season 8 and their preference sheet prompted chef Rachel Hargrove to quit (temporarily). Of course, when Hargrove returned for their charter she found them to be warm and fabulous guests.
The Parsifal III crew felt the same way and chef Ileisha Dell met their preference sheet challenge with gusto. Guarnieri and Funderburk recently emphasized that they preferred sailing and Captain Glenn Shephard.

Docking a superyacht into a tight slip isn’t exactly like parallel parking on a busy street. Captain Sandy Yawn from Below Deck Mediterranean recently explained that, in fact, parking the yacht in a tiny spot in a crowded marina is actually easier than docking in a wide open space.

When the series sailed onto our screens in 2013, the idea that I'd still be invested a decade later didn't float.
The year is 2023, and any quasi-successful series has countless spinoffs, but it's rare for a spinoff to outshine the original.
Enter Below Deck: Sailing Yacht, the dark horse of the franchise.
When the show kicked off in 2020, it was an utter disaster, with many believing it wouldn't survive into a second season.
Thanks to more people at home due to Covid-19, the show garnered decent ratings.
Thankfully, Bravo understood that finding the right cast is the key to delivering drama worthy of the high seas.
Producers thought we were interested in watching a cast built around Below Deck: Mediterranean's Adam Glick, and it was hands down one of the worst seasons in franchise history -- even...

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guests become suspicious when one of the women can’t find her jewelry.
Shortly before dinner, charter guest Lorrie tells chief stew Daisy Kelliher, “I took off my diamond necklace and my earrings and I put them on here,” she is heard telling Kelliher inside her cabin, but off camera. “I’m so upset.”
Even though Kelliher reassures Lorrie that the jewelry will be found, the guests wonder if the jewelry was stolen.

Captain Glenn Shephard recently opened up about girlfriend Dani Jimenez, revealing that they had been together before the series set sail.
After three seasons on the show, the usually private Below Deck Sailing Yacht captain quietly began posting photos on Instagram that included a mystery woman. Fans had questions and Shephard dodged questions about his private life for a while but finally decided to introduce Jimenez to the Below Deck world.
“It’s not so much about [hiding the romance from] the fans, more about stuff in our personal life that we didn’t really want it to be public,” Shephard told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “Wasn’t that we were trying to hide from the fans, but just from being in a public situation.”

Shephard didn’t fully go into details, but said something changed in their lives that made the couple comfortable with going public.

Is the bromance over? Gary King got angry when Colin MacRae called him out for taking a break after dining with the Below Deck Sailing Yacht guests.
The crew reflected on the charter, especially when chief stew Daisy Kelliher became emotional when Captain Glenn Shephard wondered why plates weren’t being cleared faster during dinner.
Meanwhile, Kelliher spent most of the charter angry at King because he wasn’t helping the interior, plus after having a two-hour dinner with the guests, he stopped to smoke a cigarette.
When King complained about Kelliher’s frustrations, MacRae called him out, which prompted King to storm off saying, “F*** Colin.”

Gary King wasn’t the only crew member who was shocked to learn that Daisy Kelliher and Colin MacRae hooked up on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.
Captain Glenn Shephard, who typically tries to stay out of the crew’s personal drama, said the romance definitely surprised him. “There’s some interesting stuff going on there between the department heads,” Shephard told Showbiz Cheat Sheet.
“I can’t say too much about it, but, yeah, I was a little surprised,” he said. “But there’s so much love between those people. Those guys, I call them the Dream Team, Gary, Daisy, Colin. We’ve done this for a few seasons now. They’re great people. They love each other. And I don’t know, tune in and you’ll see some very interesting stuff.”

Reality television crews are prepared for the unexpected: two cast members may spontaneously begin fighting each other, a contestant may become injured, etc. But when the Parsifal III, the ship that serves as the setting for Bravo’s popular “Below Deck: Sailing Yacht,” suffered engine failure 24 hours before the season’s first charter, the cast and crew had to scramble to find a solution.
The drama played out in the first three episodes of Season 4, which are now streaming on Peacock. But there wouldn’t have been a season at all if it weren’t for the quick thinking and expertise of chief engineer Colin Macrae.
TheWrap recently caught up with Macrae, Captain Glenn Shephard and executive producer Courtland Cox to discuss the near-disaster.

Captain Glenn Shephard from Below Deck Sailing Yacht was pretty impressed to hear that the Below Deck Season 10 crew scored a $40,000 tip last season. And while the Parsifal III crew has yet to receive a tip anywhere close to $40,000, Shephard said his crew feels well compensated.
“Tips are normally based on how much people pay for the charter and then, of course, how much they enjoy themselves on board,” he explained to Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “I guess the boat size could play a role, but I’m not really sure if the motor yachts are a bit bigger or if it costs a bit more per year per charter. That could be a reason. But I would say we’re pretty happy with it.”
How does a motor yacht compare to a sailing yacht in terms of cost (and tips)?
Shephard has a good point about boat size and cost.

Chief stew Daisy Kelliher described the first Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter as “chaos” when Parsifal III was stuck at the dock. She seriously thought the boat’s engine failure would end their season before it began. And joked about how she “hates” the sailing yacht.
Daisy and Parsifal III aren’t friends
Kelliher said she “definitely wasn’t relaxed during those first few days” of charter. “That was awful,” she shared on her Pita Party podcast. “That was absolutely awful.”

“I definitely hate Parsifal,” she added. “I feel like me and Parsifal aren’t friends anymore. We’re enemies. We don’t like each other, we’re not on the same page. And yeah, she was not behaving. She was a bad, bad boat.” Parsifal III’s engine was dead only hours before the first Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter. Captain Glenn Shephard said...

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 fate looked grim when Captain Glenn Shephard and chief engineer Colin MacRae learned it could take weeks to restore Parsifal III’s salt water flooded engine.
But in a Yolo move on MacRae’s part, he seemingly achieved the impossible – and got the engine chugging along again. How did he do it?
Colin MacRae needed a ‘Mad Max’ approach to the engine
During the latest episode, Shephard explained no engine rebuild kit was available. “I have to try to think of something,” MacRae said. He calls Aaron the technician and asks for advice about running the aftercooler and an idea of how to get the engine running again. Aaron says only if there is “no other alternative” and if it was a “Mad Max world.”

“I happen to have experience salvaging engines,” MacRae explains in a confessional. “In 2018 I bought a hurricane-damaged boat.

It isn’t totally smooth sailing for chef Ileisha Dell on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4. Captain Glenn Shephard said that while Dell was an amazing chef and he loved her food, she had a few issues with timing this season.
“Ileisha’s a great chef. Food’s delicious,” Shephard told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “During the summer, that department struggled a little bit with timings, getting the food to the table at the right times and subsequent courses and stuff like that. But I think that she did a really good job. And I think she’s a great chef.”

Appearing on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 1 may have been the final straw for chef Adam Glick. Glick definitely didn’t love cooking on a heel, plus his romance with chief stew Jenna MacGillivray went belly up pretty quickly.
Glick vowed to make Below Deck Sailing Yacht the last time he’d cook on a yacht and he seems to have made good on that promise. Since leaving the series, Glick continues to embrace the van life lifestyle, and a glimpse he offers in his Instagram shows that the former yacht chef made the right decision.

Glasses smash. Food goes flying. But that’s what the guests sign up for on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Captain Glenn Shephard explained.
Even though the guests charter Parsifal III to appreciate being on a serious heel, it still pushes chief stew, Daisy Kelliher’s buttons as she is often seen groaning and grabbing dishes, glasses, and anything else as the boat tilts.

Shephard laughed, thinking of how annoyed Kelliher becomes when the boat is suddenly heeling over.

Nearly running aground on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 was serious, but Captain Glenn Shephard says season 4 will feature one the “toughest situations I’ve ever faced.”
Shephard opened up to Showbiz Cheat Sheet about some of the more harrowing accounts his sailing yacht, Parsifal III encountered on the show. While many Below Deck captains have faced mechanical and human error on the show, Shephard seems to win the contest of who has dealt with the most issues on a yacht.
He joked that somehow those issues seem to arise more often when cameras are rolling and that Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 will be a doozy.

When Parsifal III sets sail for Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4, will the sailing yacht be leaving the dock with a damaged white couch?
Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 guest Cindi Rose lounged on the white sectional after she applied sunless tanner, leaving a massive stain upon her departure. Removing the stain seemed impossible, especially since the tanning solution had time to set in the white fabric.

Malia White from Below Deck Mediterranean may be off camera the past few seasons, but the Below Deck Med bosun could be gearing up for a bigger role – someday – on the series.
White has been racking up certifications and climbing the chain of command. Most recently she shared on social media that she earned her Officer of the Watch certification.
“I just got my officer of the watch, so I’m now officially officer in charge of a navigational watch for a 3000 gross ton vessel,” she told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “I just officially became second officer.”
But she doesn’t plan to stop there. White’s next goal is to work toward earning the same certification as Captain Sandy Yawn.

In one month, a slew of Bravolebrities will ascend upon New York City for BravoCon 2022, including several members of the Below Deck family.
Three years after BravoCon debuted, the event is finally back.

News broke in July the event would be back, giving off a list of cast members expected to be in attendance.
However, for the Below Deck family, that list has been altered slightly with a couple of new additions and removals.
A schedule for the weekend has been revealed, too, so Below Deck fans know when the yachties will be front and center.
Which Below Deck stars are headed to BravoCon 2022?
All five Below Deck shows and Galley Talk will be represented at the Bravo event.
In one month, a slew of Bravolebrities will ascend upon New York City for BravoCon 2022, including several members of the Below Deck family.
Three years after BravoCon debuted, the event is finally back.
The coronavirus pandemic sidelined the festivities devoted to Bravo stars and fans for the past two years.

BravoCon is back.
The fan experience, taking place Oct. 14-16 at the Javits Center in New York City, is returning for the first time since its inaugural edition in 2019.
With over 140 “Bravolebrities” set to participate in over 60 live events, BravoCon will shine a spotlight on the network’s top series. The casts from multiple cities in “The Real Housewives” franchise will turn out en masse — with a notable absence of Lisa Rinna from the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” panel. Rinna, who’s had a difficult time on the current 12th season of “Beverly Hills” — both on screen, as she’s mourned the death of her mother, and on social media as the season has aired — participated in BravoCon in 2019, but as of yet won’t return this year. Nor will “Beverly Hills” cast member Diana Jenkins be on the panel, which includes Garcelle Beauvais, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Crystal Minkoff,...

Colin keeps in touch with his former colleague Tom. Pic credit: Bravo
Below Deck Sailing Yacht alum Colin MacRae enjoyed some jacuzzi time in the rain before he caught up with his good friend Tom Pearson.
Colin has been one busy man the past few weeks.
First, the Below Deck Sailing Yacht fan favorite spent time at home in New Zealand to meet his nephew. Then he hopped a plane to spend time with his Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 pal chef Marcos Spaziani.
There was also the incident where his beloved Catamaran Parlay Revival was struck by lightning.
In the next couple of weeks, Colin will be making a few appearances at boat shows on the East Coast.
Before that, though, the hunky engineer enjoyed some downtime in the rain and a reunion with another one of his Parsifal III buddies.

Alli Dore shared a throwback picture for her son’s first birthday. Pic credit: @allidoreporfavor/Instagram
Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Alli Dore just celebrated her beloved son River‘s first birthday.
To commemorate the occasion, Alli shared a throwback picture from when she first gave birth.
The throwback came as she also posted a picture of baby River enjoying his first birthday festively.
Alli was on Season 2 of Sailing Yacht where she had many notable moments including a hookup with her costar Dani Soares and another with first mate Gary King.
Alli and Gary continued their relationship once filming ended, but it did not last long. Shortly after that, and following Dani’s pregnancy announcement, Alli revealed that she was pregnant herself.
Alli’s baby daddy was her boyfriend at the time, Benny Thompson. It is unclear whether the two are still together since Benny does not follow Alli...

Gary King found himself in an “Instagram vs reality” circumstance. Pic credit: TLC
Below Deck Sailing Yacht first mate Gary King has been a wildly popular character among fans for his sway with the ladies, work ethic, and charisma both on and off charter that has been entertaining to watch.
Gary has been in yachting for over a decade and often shares pictures on Instagram in exotic locales or doing fun and impressive things.
However, Gary gave a glimpse into the no-so-glamourous parts of his worldly job by sharing an “Instagram vs reality” situation he found himself in.
As a chief officer on superyachts, Gary has to wear many hats and oftentimes takes part in all aspects of the job regardless of his position.
This fact was demonstrated in Gary’s Instagram Stories where he shared a selfie video with a beautiful ocean and city background with no inkling of where he was posting from.

A female deckhand is nothing new for the Below Deck franchise. Pic credit: Bravo
Courtney Veale returned to Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7 as deckhand instead of a stew, the position she held during Season 6 of the show.
It’s not uncommon for the Below Deck franchise to have female deckhands.
Malia White started out as a green deckhand in Season 2 of Below Deck Med before returning as bosun for Season 5 and Season 6.
What’s not quite as common is having a stew decide to trade in the interior for a spot on the deck crew to work outside.
Aside from Courtney, there are only a couple of other stews who made the switcheroo.
Let’s take a look at the ladies who started as a stew but ended up as deckhands.

Izzy Wouters began Below Deck Season 8 as a stew working with the chief stew Francesca Rubi and Elizabeth Frankini.

Boys Colin and Marcos are giving Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans a real treat. Pic credit: Bravo
Below Deck Sailing Yacht stars Colin MacRae and Marcos Spaziani are set to reunite for a one-night event.
Chef Marcos and Colin became the best of pals, along with Gary King, during Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3.
Their bromance was one of the best in the Below Deck franchise, with the three of them often sharing about it on social media.
Since Season 3 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht came to a close, Marcos has been busier than ever with his restaurants in Los Angeles and being in demand for catering. Marcos even scored a gig with an MLB legend who is a fan of the show.
Colin, for his part, has been spending time at home in New Zealand meeting his new nephew for the first time.
