Singer John Oates said it is time to move on after his five-decade-long career with Daryl Hall in Hall & Oates.
Last week, Hall filed a lawsuit against Oates seeking to bar the sale of their music together.
“I have an amazing, amazing amount of respect, and I’m really, really thankful for the success that Daryl and I have had,” the musician told Entertainment Tonight. “We’ve done something over a 50-year period of time that not many people ever can say they’ve done in their lives or careers.”
“It’s been a great thing for me to do, I’m really proud of it, and I’m really happy about it,” he continued. “And I know that those songs are going to live forever.”
Despite having expressed pride in his legacy, Oates made it clear that he does not see himself as very nostalgic.

It's no secret that Dwight and Sherry are some of my favorite characters, so Fear the Walking Dead Season 8 Episode 9 had a major advantage going into it with the knowledge it would be focused on both characters.
While there were some great moments of the pair unpacking their trauma after returning to The Sanctuary, the decision to include Dove as yet another kid who needed saving was both random and a part of the bigger problem with the series as a whole.
Dwight and Sherry's relationship was underpinned by their time at the Sanctuary under Negan's rule, and it's a miracle they managed to come out the other end of it after reuniting on Fear the Walking Dead Season 6.
They had so much to unpack that their latest reunion would have worked far better had it just been them in the Sanctuary.

Imagine if you will a line of dominoes that increase in size as they move left to right. A man stands behind the smallest domino, poised to knock it forward, which will instigate a chain reaction leading to the largest domino toppling over. This "domino theory" illustration helps to visualize the causal interconnection between a seemingly innocuous event in the past and a monumental event in the present or near future. It's especially handy when attempting to understand how 20th Century Fox studio head Darryl F. Zanuck's mother getting a cold in 1908 led indirectly to the creation and broad success of the comedy procedural series "Bones" in 2005. And not because "Bones" was a Fox show. The connection is much more serpentine and intriguing.
You see, when the Wahoo, Wisconsin-born Sarah Louise Zanuck caught a hard-to-shake chill in the latter years of the 20th century's first decade, she thought it'd...

Erik Jensen, best known for his portrayal of Dr. Steven Edwards on The Walking Dead Season 5, has been diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer.
The actor's family revealed the news in a GoFundMe post.
"After miraculously surviving a brain aneurysm just a year and a half ago, our beloved Erik Jensen was just diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer," the message on the fundraising platform reads.
"The cancer has metastasized to his liver, but Erik is young and strong and his doctors think they have a shot at shrinking the tumors enough to do two very major surgeries and get them all out.
"He can make it through this. But Erik and his family are in for the fight of their lives, and they need your support."

It’s not every day that you see a spin-off that surpasses the legacy of the main series. Especially when the series has run for over a decade and garnered the kind of cult following that’s persevered through its weakest days. If you take a look at the mess The Walking Dead franchise has made with the majority of its spin-offs, Daryl Dixon will come as a truly bewildering surprise. It was never a matter of question that if The Walking Dead had to base a sister series on one of the characters that wasn’t Rick Grimes, it had to be Daryl Dixon. The scruffy, fidgety man who’s as comfortable wielding a crossbow and a flail as he’s hesitant to ever admit how soft his heart really is. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon premiered its season finale, and with it came the news of AMC already...

Isn't it everyone's dream to age gracefully well into their golden years?
The caveat is that once someone reaches a certain age, they lose the strength of youth and they become a vulnerable member of society.
That opens them up to exploitation from morally bankrupt people and sometimes may meet their demise because of someone else's actions.
Found Season 1 Episode 3 explored one such case through Reggie, an older black gay man who had lost his husband and fell into a pit of loneliness.
There is always something unique and incredibly human in the cases the show tackles, and they make sure that they have all the bases covered so that they may be able to represent the missing person appropriately.
Through Reggie, the show dove into various topics relating to situations older people in society find themselves in.

When it was announced that The Walking Dead was going to wrap up with its eleventh season, it was also revealed that there were going to be follow-up spin-offs, including one that would focus on the characters of Carol and Daryl, played by Melissa McBride and Norman Reedus. But then it was said that McBride had to drop out of the show when it was decided that it would be filming in Europe, as she couldn’t relocate for an extended period of time. So we got the Daryl solo spin-off, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon (you can read our review Here). As it turns out, there was a plan all along to bring McBride into the show, and as Daryl Dixon wrapped up its six episode first season it was said that the second season would be called The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol. And while...

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 finale hinted at the reunion to come for best friends Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride). The promo for Season 2, now titled The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol and set to premiere in 2024, teases the journey to find each other. It was announced before the finale, as part of the show’s presence at New York Comic Con, that McBride will be a series regular in Season 2, reprising the role she played for 11 seasons on the original Walking Dead. “I’ve known there was much more to be told of Carol’s story as I felt her so unsettled when we last saw her, as she watched her best friend, Daryl, ride away. Apart or (hopefully!) together, their stories run deep, and I’m so excited to continue Carol’s journey here,” McBride said in a statement regarding the news.

TV Fanatic got the chance to speak with Anne Charrier and Romain Levi about the big revelations and what's on the way when the show returns in 2024.
The finale was made more shocking by Genet's scientist's scientifically engineered walkers not doing what was expected of them.
Anne expects that Genet will still use the scientist to weaponize the undead on The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2.
"I think she needs him, so I'd say she's going to trust him until she gets what she needs," she tells TV Fanatic exclusively.

The season finale of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” aired on AMC last night, and it brought along with it the tease that main show character Carol (Melissa McBride) will be joining Norman Reedus in the second season of the spinoff series. In fact, next year’s Season 2 of “Daryl Dixon” has officially been dubbed “The Walking Dead: The Book of Carol.”
As you may recall, the “Daryl Dixon” spinoff had originally been announced as a Daryl/Carol spinoff series, so it’s essentially returning to those original plans in its second season.
“The Book of Carol” opens up on AMC in 2024. Watch the teaser trailer below.
“The Daryl Dixon spinoff series tracks Daryl’s (Norman Reedus) journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. As he makes the journey, though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan.

This article contains spoilers for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon finale.
When The Walking Dead‘s final season introduced zombie “variants” that could pull off physical maneuvers more sophisticated than your average walker, some fans were a little confused and perhaps even disappointed. One of those fans, it turns out, was The Walking Dead producer and resident zombie-maker-in-chief Greg Nicotero.
“The variants that were introduced in the last season of The Walking Dead didn’t make any sense,” Nicotero tells Den of Geek‘s Aaron Sagers. “Because it wasn’t earned. They were like ‘oh, if you go back to the first season, zombies use rocks and smash windows.’ It didn’t make any sense that after eleven seasons that we hadn’t seen any of that.”

This article contains spoilers for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon finale.
The mystery at the center of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon can be succinctly summed up as “why France?”
After 11 seasons of the flagship series taking place in the American Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest, why did the first episode of spinoff open with the titular character drifting ashore on the beaches of Marseille? The first season’s fifth and penultimate episode answers that question to a certain extent. Daryl encountered some trouble in the U.S., was imprisoned on a French research vessel, and then threw himself overboard to avoid an amped up walker, eventually washing up in southern France.
While that explains the literal narrative reasons for Daryl’s French journey, it doesn’t quite capture the thematic reasons. What can The Walking Dead accomplish with the major character of Daryl Dixon in France that it...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 finale.] Norman Reedus‘ Daryl Dixon was on a mission in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 finale, and it was the same mission he’s had all season long: get back home. What he didn’t expect was to feel at home somewhere else. Leaving home and finding you belong somewhere else was the emotional core of Season 1, so said showrunner David Zabel at Twd: Daryl Dixon panel at New York Comic Con on Thursday, October 12, where the finale was screened in full for the excited audience of Twd fans and press. That theme rang true in Daryl’s final moments of the finale, which on top of scoring the historic Mont Saint-Michel as its filming location for The Nest also filmed a Daryl-walker battle on the beaches of Normandy. The setting had deep emotional meaning for Daryl. As revealed to Isabelle (Clémence Poésy...

Ever since The Walking Dead Season 1, the franchise has often struggled to deliver satisfying season finales because the creatives were far more concerned about viewers tuning in for the next season.
With the impressive quality of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1, I was cautiously optimistic that the show would stick the landing.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 Episode 6 brought all of the season's significant conflicts simmering to the surface while flawlessly planting seeds for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2.
It's hard to believe that the season is already over, but AMC's decision to cap the spinoffs at six episodes per season is probably to thank for the breakneck pace of it all.
Daryl's journey to France has been chock-full of shocking encounters, but fighting in that arena must have been one of the most harrowing scenarios he's ever faced.

After six episodes following a desperate and homesick Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) battling his way through France, the first season of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” ended on Sunday with a surprising twist: Daryl literally missed the boat back to America. Spoilers ahead.
According to series showrunner David Zabel, Season 1’s plan was always to end with Daryl standing on a beach, choosing to stay in France with Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) and Isabelle (Clémence Poésy) rather than go home.
“That was really my first pitch on the story,” Zabel told TheWrap.
The executive producer explained that his series’ “central conceit” was always “in trying to get back home, what happens if you form a surrogate home in the place you’re trying to get away from?”
Zabel was careful to build to this emotional decision for Daryl. The first three episodes see Daryl slowly warming up to Laurent and Isabelle.

This Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon article contains spoilers.
Daryl Dixon always finds a way to get out of sticky situations and the season finale of his own spinoff show is no different. Not only does Daryl and his squad manage to escape the clutches of Genet and her drugged-up zombies but he manages to get both Laurent and Isabelle to the Nest in Mont-Saint-Michel (with a surprise assist from Codron).
It seems like Daryl’s job in France is done as he passes through Normandy, pays a visit to his grandpappy who died during World War II, and prepares to board a boat back to the States. That’s until Laurent shows up at the last minute, along with a horde of walkers who would love nothing more than to eat him. Now Daryl has a choice to make between staying with Laurent and Isabelle or heading home to his own family.

To have Daryl by your side in a world where everything is out to get you is undoubtedly a blessing. But has anyone ever stopped to wonder what the hero we love, admire, and maybe even fear a little bit really wants? While the season finale of AMC’s The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is kind enough to provide a home to the tired pilgrims, the shepherd has a a few miles to wander yet. Belted by a range of complex emotions that the Mother series was too feeble to hold, the spin-off aimed to celebrate Daryl Dixon’s puzzling depths. In the end, was it a journey worth taking for the show and its gray hero?

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is delivering one of the best seasons in the franchise.
Taking the action to France has showcased a very different world, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 Episode 5 left us with plenty to ponder as we head into the season finale.
We learned the true extent of Genet's research as Daryl got caught up in her web, thanks to her scientist scouting for walkers in Maine.
Anne Charrier, who plays Genet, is interested in discovering how far her character's resources go.
"I would say this was the uneasy way," she said of the voyage to get test subjects.
"I don't know how far she's gone, but she's breaking the borders so that she can go very far," the actress added.

The Walking Dead reached the end of its eleven season run last year, and long before the show ended we knew the character Daryl Dixon (played by Norman Reedus) was going to be getting a spin-off. But when the Daryl spin-off was first announced, it was said to focus on the two-person team of Daryl and his friend Carol (Melissa McBride). That plan changed when it was decided that the show was going to take place in Europe, and McBride didn’t want to relocate for an extended period of time. So we’ve gotten the solo spin-off The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon… but showrunner David Zabel still has story in mind for the Carol character.

If there were ever an opportunity to go to Paris during a zombie apocalypse, I'd probably take it. They seem to have it together far more than other places we've visited in this franchise.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 Episode 4 delved deeper into the conflict between those who believe Laurent has a higher purpose and tyrants like Genet who want to wipe all hope away.
The funny thing is Genet was probably bursting at the seams with hope once, thinking there was an end in sight for the apocalypse.
If nothing else, she's been an entertaining counterpoint to people like Isabelle and Sylvie, who want to scream "Laurent is our savior" from the rooftops.
Genet has been the thorn in everyone's side since The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 Episode 1 when she realized who squandered years of her research.
We still don't know how Daryl managed to pull off that trick,...

Well, that's one way to change the series' trajectory.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 Episode 3 featured a trip to Paris, bombshells about Laurent's past, shocking reunions, and multiple cliffhangers that will drive the remainder of the season.
We'll start with Isabelle and Quinn because that came so out of the blue that I'm wrestling with whether it was too convenient or should have been expected.
Quinn proved resourceful on The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 Episode 2, and it seems he's continued to be smart about decisions throughout a decade in the apocalypse.
Isabelle's apprehension about going to Paris now makes perfect sense: She was worried about bumping into the ex she left high and dry on the side of the road as zombies made their way into Paris.
In Isabelle's defense, Paris was filled with reminders of her past before she found faith and made it her mission...

The survivors on The Walking Dead frequently use zombies as a resource as much as they would use the logs from a downed tree or animal products from a deer.
