Sean Spicer has ended his nightly Newsmax show Spicer & Co. after three years.
Spicer, who served as Donald Trump’s first White House press secretary, said it was “my honor to be part of the Newsmax team and I’m grateful for my time there. With all of that under my belt, it is time for me to move on to a new challenge, a new adventure and a new opportunity to serve the American people.”
Mediaite reported that Spicer decided to leave the network after negotiations on a new contract fell apart. Co-host Lyndsay Keith departed last month.
A spokesperson for Newsmax said, “In preparation for new programming, we decided to not continue Spicer & Co. with hosts Lyndsay Keith and Sean Spicer. The network wishes them both well in their new endeavors.”

Sean Spicer exited Newsmax on Thursday, three years after launching “Spicer & Co.” in a prime spot on the conservative cable-news channel.
But with his golden-boy status ended a year ago when the network hired Greta Van Susteren — Spicer’s show was bumped from the coveted 6 p.m. Et slot to the 5 o’clock hour of Newsmax’s lineup — the first press secretary during the Donald Trump administration has left Newsmax, pledging to be “a force for good in this country.” According to Mediaite, Spicer and Newsmax could not come to terms on a new contract.
“After three-plus amazing years of ‘Spicer and Company,’ I’m leaving Newsmax to embark on a new project,” Spicer said in a YouTube video, which you can watch at the top of this post.

Newsmax has tapped Steve Cortes, a former adviser to Donald Trump, and Jenn Pellegrino, a former White House correspondent for One America News Network, to co host a primetime show.
Set to debut on Tuesday, Cortes & Pellegrino will air at 9 Pm Et, the same time slot as Hannity on Fox News.
Cortes was an advisor and television spokesperson for the 2020 Trump campaign, and also has been a commentator on politics and finance. Pellegrino was a correspondent for One America, perhaps the most pro-Trump of all rightward news networks. She also has worked for Fox News and QVC.
Newsmax says the show will “confront and tackle Washington’s permanent political class, big business, and the increasing threat of ‘woke’ progressivism.” The Newsmax nightly lineup also includes with Spicer & Co., Greg Kelly Reports, Stinchfield and Rob Schmitt Tonight. Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy said that the new show “completes our nightly lineup and will continue our unprecedented growth.
