It’s been almost 20 years since Kurt Cobain committed suicide, and now Seattle police have officially released two previously unseen images from the tragic scene on Thursday evening (March 20).
While reviewing the case files of the Nirvana frontman’s death, detective Mike Ciesynski found four rolls of undeveloped film from inside his home the evening of the suicide.
One photo showed a box containing the drug paraphernalia, a spoon and what appears to be needles on the floor next to half a cigarette and sunglasses. The other showed the medication’s box closed with cash, a cigarette pack and Cobain’s wallet close by.
While dealing with the press about the new photos, the law enforcement’s spokeswoman Renee Witt stated, “There was nothing earth-shattering in any of these images. The detective went into the case files to refresh himself. The outcome of the case has not changed. “

With the 20th anniversary of the suicide of Kurt Cobain coming up next month, Seattle police knew they'd be getting plenty of questions about the Nirvana frontman. So a detective reviewed the case files - including evidence photos and statements. He found no new information to change the police conclusion that Cobain took his own life, but did discover four rolls of undeveloped film from the suicide scene. Late Thursday, Seattle police released two previously unseen images from those rolls. One showed a box containing drug paraphernalia, a spoon and what look like needles on the floor next to half a cigarette and sunglasses.

London, March 21: Seattle police have confirmed that they re-examined late singer Kurt Cobain's death, but have said that the case won't be re-opened.
The police officials have revealed that although a cold-case detective did recently take another look at the evidence, no new findings were unearthed, the Independent reported.
It was earlier reported that cops would re-open the case after they developed four rolls of film that had been sitting for years in an evidence vault.
Police spokesperson Renee Witt said that files were dug up, but nothing new was found, and that the police plan to release the new photographs.
