Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on the show!
Match #1: Fatal 5-Way Intercontinental Title chance Match – Winner(s): Drew McIntyre & Sheamus The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Karrion Kross, Xavier Woods and LA Knight collided in this Fatal 5-Way Match for a chance at Gunther’s Intercontinental Title. The match broke down almost as soon as it began, with all five competitors taking the action to the outside. With five competitors, it was no surprise that alliances were quick to occur with Knight and Kross combining to make a unique combo. Much like Survivor, the alliance was over fairly quickly as Knight struck Kross while his back was turned. Woods, who had some umbrage with being called the underdog had a great showing with dynamite offense...

Well everyone, the winners for the 21st Annual Golden Schmoes for the year 2022 are in! As expected, Everything Everywhere All At Once absolutely cleaned up. Just like Spider-Man: No Way Home last year, It took home seven of the big awards, including “Favorite Movie”, “Best Actress”, “Best Director” and more. Top Gun: Maverick was the other big winner, with 4 wins, albeit Big ones, with Tom Cruise’s Maverick taking home “Coolest Character”, while the movie also took home “Best Action Scene”, “Most Memorable Scene” and “Biggest Surprise”. Why would it be considered the “Biggest Surprise” you may ask? Well, I think we all expected Top Gun: Maverick to be good, but did we think it would be an instant classic? I agree with the voters on this one. That said, nothing broke any records for most Golden Schmoes wins of all time, with The Dark Knight still holding that record with a dozen wins.

Judging HGTV’s Rock the Block is one thing. But competing on the show is something else entirely, as Farmhouse Fixer’s Jonathan Knight and Fix My Flip’s Page Turner recently learned. Knight might be a first-time competitor on Rock the Block, but he’s not new to the show. In season 3, he served as a guest judge, evaluating the team’s kitchen renovations, along with his brother and fellow NKotB member Jordan Knight.
“I don’t know if [that experience] gave me an edge, but I do know, you know, judging past seasons, I called a lot of the past contestants and asked them,...

After decades of different interpretations, no one has come close to becoming synonymous with Batman as Kevin Conroy did during his long and varied tenure. Conroy lent his voice acting talents to a number of genre-defining projects across several mediums. Although he became the definitive version of the character in "Batman: The Animated Series," his subsequent works further cemented his legacy — especially the "Batman: Arkham" video game trilogy. For the Rocksteady-produced franchise, the voice actor would delve into an entirely new world to deliver audiences another unforgettable Batman. However, the transition between projects was not without its difficulties.
The "Arkham" game series introduced Conroy to a new generation of fans, who joined him behind the Dark Knight's cowl in a unique, immersive experience. Not just an achievement in superhero storytelling, the trilogy is also considered part of the upper echelon of video games in general ("Arkham City" is...

Michael Jordan's impact on fashion might be obvious now, with everyone from Mark Wahlberg to Rihanna rocking a pair of Jordans, but when Nike first made the deal with the all-star athlete to create the shoes, it was a major gamble for everyone involved. The story of how that happened is now coming to life in a new movie, directed by Ben Affleck, titled "Air." Affleck also stars as Nike cofounder Phil Knight, with his best friend Matt Damon playing marketing executive Sonny Vaccaro and newly minted Egot winner Viola Davis portraying Michael's mother, Deloris Jordan.
"Air" comes from Amazon Studios and is getting a worldwide release this spring. According to Amazon, "'Air' reveals the unbelievable game-changing partnership between a then-rookie Michael Jordan and Nike's fledgling basketball division which revolutionized the world of sports and contemporary culture with the Air Jordan brand." They describe Knight, Vaccaro, and the rest...
