Moviegoers who head to IMAX this weekend are in for a treat: per the official IMAX Twitter account, an exclusive first look at "Creed III" will be appearing ahead of IMAX films like "Avatar: The Way of Water," and ... well, let's be real, is anyone going to IMAX theaters for any film besides the James Cameron epic this weekend? At any rate, IMAX viewers will be able to catch the behind-the-scenes look three months ahead of the latest Rocky sequel's official release.
IMAX shared the news on Twitter with an image featuring series star and director Michael B. Jordan, accompanied by the line, "Get in the ring with IMAX and director Michael B. Jordan." The third film about Apollo Creed's son Adonis will serve as Jordan's directorial debut, so it'll be interesting to see what insights the sneak peek may give into the process of the first-time filmmaker.
The new movie also costars Jonathan Majors,...

The "Rocky" movies have always felt a bit like anime. You have a very endearing underdog story with a charming protagonist who, with the power of friendship and hard work, manages to become the very best, like no one ever was. Then, as we got more sequels, the villains became more and more cartoonishly ridiculous, with increasingly over-the-top gimmicks. I mean, really, what is Ivan Drago if not an anime villain?
Then the "Creed" movies came and offered something similar, yet fresh and different. 2015's "Creed" delivered an underdog story, a redemption story, and a story of grief and legacy all in one, with some of the best filmmaking in the entire franchise (and the best fight choreography too). 2018's "Creed III" only further upped the ante with an even more emotional story of legacy and of parents and sons.
Now, the upcoming "Creed III" aims to reinvent the franchise yet again,...

Grammy winner Rapper Drake’s latest bling collection showcases diamonds from engagement rings he thought about giving women.
“New piece titled ‘Previous Engagements’ for all the times he thought about it but never did it,” jewellery designer Alex Moss wrote over a video showcasing the creation, reports pagesix.com.
The necklace is made up of “42 engagement rings, 351.38 carats in diamonds,” Moss explained in the caption.
According to the Instagram reel, creating the necklace was “an expedition spanning 14 months, every diamond hand selected, inspected to only suit perfection.”
“This monumental art piece was assembled using 351.38 carats of diamonds mounted in 18k white gold,” the voiceover continues.
“Alex Moss, Can you do sum for me?” one user asked the celebrity jewellery designer, referencing Drake’s verse alongside ’21 Savage’ on the viral song ‘Rich Flex’.
Another said: “350 + carats over 42 diamonds so something like 8 carats a piece? Assuming you’re using vs1+ this piece...

There's a fitting symmetry to actor Michael B. Jordan's move into the director's chair for "Creed III," where he will also be starring as Adonis Creed, the ascending son of Apollo (Carl Weathers) from the original "Rocky" franchise. "Rocky" star and writer Sylvester Stallone also went on to direct several films in the series, helming the second, third, and fourth "Rocky" movies before returning 20 years later to star in and direct 2006's "Rocky Balboa." In a surprise continuation of the franchise, director Ryan Coogler re-imagined the property's underdog story for a new generation with 2015's "Creed." In the film, Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson became the new Rocky and Adrian (Adonis and Bianca), and Stallone returned as the Mickey character (an older Rocky), the scruffy mentor role originally occupied by Burgess Meredith.

There are very few pure action movies, a fact one only comes to appreciate once they try to compile a list like this. "The Expendables," "Commando," and the "Fast and the Furious" franchise are examples of such films in which the only objective is to blow things up in creative and satisfying ways. Instead, most action movies fall on a sliding scale and also incorporate thriller, horror, and comedic elements.
