Paradigm has hired Kyle Jensen as a Literary Content Agent and Jamie Kaye-Phillips as a Theatre Literary Content Agent, upping Matthew Nutty from Coordinator to Agent in the Talent department.
Additionally, Napoli Management Group, a division of Paradigm Media Entertainment, has tapped Brian Neal as an agent. A 23-year veteran of the television news industry, he’ll in his new role rep all levels of on-air talent in the national broadcast news space.
Jensen and Nutty will be based out of the agency’s Los Angeles office, with Kaye-Phillips working out of New York. Where Neal will be based is not yet clear.
The hirings follow December’s announcement that Todd Eisner, a 30-year veteran talent agent, had joined Paradigm from the now-folded A3. Over the past year, Paradigm has been staffing up with the hires of Chris Till and Neil A. Cohen, as well as internal promotions, having elevated 14 agents to Partner.

“Quantum Leap” is traveling back to the 1992 LA riots in Wednesday’s new episode.
In an exclusive clip shared with TheWrap, Ben (Raymond Lee) lands in the body of 18-year-old Daniel Park, a first generation Korean American teenager working at his father’s shoe store in Los Angeles’ Koreatown. Jumping to 1992 alongside Magic (Ernie Hudson), the pair learn they have been transported to the day when all four officers involved in the beating of Rodney King were acquitted of assault, with three of the four acquitted of using excessive force.
“I remember watching the riots on TV — how unfair that verdict was to the Black community and how angry people were over it,” Ben told Magic as he realizes his new surroundings. “I remember the rooftop Koreans trying to protect their businesses … I can’t possibility be here to stop all that right?”
Instead, Magic informs Ben that amid the riots prompted Daniel’s father,...

Two days into the Writers Guild of America’s first strike in 15 years, union leadership gathered members for a “rowdy” and “raucous” meeting at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium on Wednesday night.
The venue, which previously was home to such events as the Academy Awards and Grammys, drew more than 1,800 WGA members who gathered to hear from leaders about what led to the breakdown in negotiations between the guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers — and ended up becoming something of an inter-union solidarity rally, with representatives from six different entertainment unions in attendance. (The Shrine has a capacity of 6,300.)
“I’ve been around 25 years and have never seen all the unions this united or on the same page,” one showrunner who was in attendance told THR after hearing leaders from each of the guilds speak. “They are all getting variously screwed by these companies and they...

Legacies is finally back!
The beloved drama returned to The CW on Thursday with Legacies Season 3 Episode 1, but all eyes are on Legacies Season 3 Episode 2, which might find us saying goodbye to a beloved character.
The CW dropped a wild promo for the episode, which shows the Super Squad banding together to save Rafael, who appears to be dying.
Even worse, Rafael goes on the run as everyone rallies to save his life.
"Goodbyes Sure Do Suck" is the name of the episode. Make of that what you will.
The network has also revealed a synopsis that gives us a hint about what's on tap.
Finding Peace -- The Super Squad pull out all the stops when they learn some devastating news involving one of their own.
Alaric (Matthew Davis) turns to Sheriff Mac (Bianca Kajlich) for help getting some timely affairs in order.

An upcoming episode of Legacies is set to pay homage to the shows that came before it.
The CW has scheduled Legacies Season 3 Episode 3, titled "Salvatore: The Musical," an episode that was set to air as one of the final episodes of Legacies Season 2.
But, as you know, the episodes have been tacked on to Legacies Season 3 due to the Covid-19 pandemic shuttering production for months.
Last year, Legacies executive producer, Brett Matthews, revealed news of the musical in an interview with TV Guide.
"Episode 19 is our grand musical episode," Mathews told TV Guide at the time.
"We try to do a musical a year, and it's a musical that will sort of revisit our legacies -- the legacy of the show, The Vampire Diaries, and The Originals."
It is set to air on February 4th.

Hey "Arrow" fans. Unfortunately, we have some very bad news for you guys in this article. It turns out that The CW will not be airing the brand new episode 5 of your favorite show tonight for some unknown reason. Here's the good news. The delay will only be for this week and not multiple weeks. The CW is scheduled to air the new, 5th episode of this current final season 8 next Tuesday night, November 19, 2019 at approximately 8 pm central standard time. So, definitely be sure to jot down that very important date on your TV show calendars. So, what will the CW be airing instead of the new episode 5 tonight, November 12, 2019? According to the TV guide listings, The CW will actually be airing an episode of Arrow tonight. It just won't be a new one. They're airing a repeat of the premiere episode 1 of this current season 8. That episode is titled,...

The familiar faces just keep on returning. In previous episodes, we’ve seen the comebacks of Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell), Thea Queen (Willa Holland) and several more, and in the next installment of Arrow season 8, Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) will put in an appearance for the first time in this final season of the show. What’s more, he’ll be suiting up in his Arsenal outfit once again.
The photos down below reveal that Roy has been living incognito, working as a mechanic and going by the name “Jason” – a nod to fellow red-themed superhero sidekick Jason Todd, perhaps. Diggle tracks him down, though, and apparently recruits him to help out on a mission. Meanwhile, Oliver and his grown-up kids will infiltrate a fight club, an investigation which looks to – unsurprisingly – turn violent.

When the producers behind Arrow said Oliver Queen would be replaying his greatest hits during the eighth and final season, they weren’t kidding around. So far, we’ve seen generous tribute paid to seasons 1 and 3, with more nods to the past undoubtedly out of the way.
That being said, it only makes sense that Ollie and the gang head back to Russia in a matter of weeks. After all, his history with the Bratva is crucial to his background, not to mention how season 5’s flashback segments were largely set in that particular country.
Having reiterated that, here’s what’s set to go down in “Prochnost”:
Don’T Let Your Past Define You – Upon learning the key to oppose The Monitor (guest star Lamonica Garrett), Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team return to Russia on a mission to gather the necessary materials. Diggle (David Ramsey) reunites with a figure from his past.

Now that Arrow‘s final handful of episodes to complete season 7 are in full swing, it’s hard not getting overly excited for what’s to come. After all, it was only earlier this week that we were treated to a Birds of Prey-inspired adventure in the form of “Lost Canary” that concluded with Earth-2’s Laurel Lance accepting her Earth-1 counterpart’s Black Canary costume – and let’s also not forget a certain major character from “Elseworlds” being spotted on the set of the finale.
As we move forward, expect for John Diggle to reassume the spotlight in the appropriately titled “Spartan.” Set to grace our screens next week, this will indeed be the episode featuring Ghostbusters‘ Ernie Hudson in a guest role. The name of his character had previously been under wraps though, and now we have a good idea as to why.

Despite the fact that Arrow will be reaching its conclusion next season, that doesn’t mean we can overlook what’s happening before then. Don’t forget, we still have five episodes remaining in the current season, and it’s around this time that the series normally kicks things into high gear.
Based on what we’ve just learned, the episode titled “Spartan” will be something no fan of the show will want to miss. Here, take a look at the official synopsis and then we’ll discuss it further:
Ernie Hudson (“Ghostbusters”) Guest Stars — After the Ninth Circle delivers a major setback for Team Arrow, Diggle (David Ramsey) reluctantly reaches out to a Four-Star General of the Defense Intelligence Agency (guest star Ernie Hudson) for help, despite unresolved tension from their past. Meanwhile, Oliver (Stephen Amell) discovers a piece of information that he believes will turn Emiko (Sea Shimooka) against the Ninth Circle.

As I’ve recently stated, it could be argued that less is known at this point about the rest of Arrow‘s seventh season than we knew going in this past fall. Fortunately, though, this week has played host to more promotional material teasing what’s to come.

This past summer, the producers of Arrow held their cards incredibly close to the vest. Basically, all we knew going into season 7 was that Oliver Queen would remain in prison for some time and that a new Emerald Archer had shown up in town.
But now, as we inch closer toward the second half of that same season, one could argue we know even less about what the future holds. If anything, tonight’s episode of Arrow showed us how the flash forwards are quickly becoming more intriguing than whatever’s going on in the present. I mean, when Roy Harper gives us a tour of a dystopic future where Dinah Drake is an aging Black Canary and has taken Wild Dog’s daughter under her wing, how can you not expect me to favor that unfolding mystery?
Still, there’s no guarantee of that being explored next week, as the first promo for “The Demon” focuses entirely on Oliver Queen’s ongoing misfortunes. After being subjected to some psychiatric “rehabilitation” by Slabside’s top shelf shrink in “Level Two,” our hero seems as though he’s ready to lose his marbles.
Considering how the footage provided shows him ready to kick some serious ass, it’s fair to say he’ll be doing more than sitting on a bench seven days from now.

Last month, when it was revealed that this season of Arrow would include an episode titled “The Demon,” I’m sure we weren’t the only ones who immediately thought of the League of Assassins. I mean, Matt Nable’s iteration of Ra’s al Ghul may be dead and so, too, is his successor in Malcolm Merlyn, but Nyssa al Ghul is still out there somewhere. And though Talia is presumed dead after season 5’s finale, I must remind you that we never saw a body.
Well, now that the official synopsis for said episode has arrived, I’m not so sure if the connection can still be made because there’s no hint of anyone from the al Ghul lineage being involved. Here, take a look for yourself:

Last night’s episode of The Flash featured the Fastest Man Alive and his friends paying a visit to Earth-2 to rescue Harrison Wells from Solovar and his ape army. However, now that he’s been dealt with, Gorilla Grodd is hellbent on revenge and looking to invade his old home on Earth-1.
This puts Central City in serious jeopardy, and the Flash is going to need to call in all the help he can if he hopes to stop the psychic gorilla from lording over his home. That’s something which is evident from the promo above, and now a poster has been released which puts the spotlight squarely on the clash between the Scarlet Speedster and one of his most iconic villains.
For more on what to expect from this episode of The Flash – appropriately titled “Attack on Central City” – here’s the official synopsis:

When H.R. Wells arrived from Earth-19, it was quickly established that he had something to hide. It didn’t end up being anything too sinister though, as we discovered that he was an author rather than a scientist, but next week’s episode of The Flash looks set to see him answer for his crimes.
As it turns out, interdimensional travel is not allowed on his Earth, hence why Gypsy comes looking for him. A metahuman with similar powers to Cisco, it’s already been confirmed that romance may be on the cards for those two characters, but the biggest moment in next week’s The Flash will come when he finally gets to suit up as Vibe.

This past Saturday I participated in the Women’s March in NYC. While I marched with a group of burlesque performers and friends, other columnists here at ComicMix participated including Molly Jackson and Martha Thomases. It was an important moment of demonstration for the first days of the new administration here, and I’m glad I participated. For all of those reading who want to do something and were unable to attend I can assure you there will be plenty more opportunities to come.
Meanwhile, in my free time I’ve been reading some of the DC Comics Elseworlds. For those of you unfamiliar, these were stories that took place outside of DC Comics continuity that often involve alternate histories of what could have been. As you can imagine, that premise is really intriguing to me lately.
I’ve read four Elseworlds in the past couple of weeks, all of which were ones starring Superman.

The CW has released new episode descriptions for Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl today, and they reveal some very interesting details about what’s to come in the DC TV universe.
First up is Supergirl and the upcoming outing titled “We Can Be Heroes,” which will feature the return of Livewire as the Guardian finally reveals that he’s James Olsen and Mon-El continues getting in the Girl of Steel’s way.
In his quest to take down Kovar, Oliver (Stephen Amell) gets help from a surprising source – Talia al Ghul (guest star Lexa Doig). However, when she reveals what she wants from him in exchange, Oliver isn’t sure he can accept her help. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) attempts to hack the Nsa to help free Diggle (David Ramsey) but when her online efforts are flagged, she faces off against an unknown adversary. The CW has released a gallery of images from next week’s episode of The Flash, and in them we get to see a lot of very interesting reveals. The most significant has to be our first look at Jesse Wells suited up as Jesse Quick, a speedster from the comic books who, in the TV show, hails from Earth-2 and is the daughter of Harrison Wells.
Your eyes aren’t deceiving you though; Jesse is indeed wearing a slightly modified version of the costume worn by Trajectory when that villain appeared in The Flash season 2.
The next big reveal is the return of Captain Cold. The fan-favourite villain was killed off in the season 1 finale of Legends of Tomorrow, so how exactly is he alive and well here? Chances are it has something to do with Barry Allen’s recent trip back in time, as...

Disclaimer: This article has spoilers for Legends of Tomorrow Season 1
A part of me was a bit disappointed when Wentworth Miller’s Leonard Snart (a.k.a. Captain Cold) left The Flash to pursue his own ambitions in the Arrow-verse offshoot Legends of Tomorrow. It took a while, but not only did I grow accustomed to Miller’s campy portrayal of the fan favorite Rogues villain, he quickly became one of my favorite parts of the show.
His portrayal only got better as Legends of Tomorrow progressed. No, the show wasn’t the strongest (I think it leans a bit to far in the direction of camp for my taste), but I appreciated the development they gave for both Snart and Rory for the season, and was frustrated when the series decided to kill him off in a blaze of glory ("There are no strings on me.").

It comes as no surprise that The Flash continues to astonish in what has so far been a thoroughly entertaining third season. And, if this newly released extended trailer for next week’s episode, “The New Rogues,” properly reflects how awesome that offering may be, then it’s probably safe to say the trend will continue.
A major draw in this particular episode comes in the form of Mirror Master making his long awaited debut. You see, he happens to be one of the quintessential Flash villains from the comic books, so it comes as somewhat of a surprise the producers have waited this long to incorporate him. But, then again, it’s also reassuring to know that not every resource was jammed into the first season or two and there’s still much to be tapped as the series races toward a prosperous future.

At the end of this week’s season 3 premiere of The Flash, Barry Allen once again reset reality, and while he was back in familiar surroundings following the events of Flashpoint, it quickly became apparent that not everything is the same. That’s clearly going to be an ongoing plot point this year too, as the description for episode 4 reveals that Captain Cold is now alive and well.
The villain died in the season 1 finale of Legends of Tomorrow, but something has clearly changed in this timeline as he’s now alive and being tracked down by Mirror Master. His appearance in The Flash is long overdue, and while the title of the episode – “The New Rogues” – points to Cold finally assembling the team of villains, it sounds like they’re going to be at odds here.

Following tonight’s incredible episode of The Flash, The CW has released a sneak peek at what’s to come next week. But before we get to that, we need to talk about those massive teases about the identities of both Zoom and the masked man who he’s keeping captive.
My theory? The man in the iron mask is the real Jay Garrick, and the one we’ve seen every week is really the Earth-2 Hunter Zolomon. As for Zoom, I think he may also be Hunter, though that obviously wouldn’t explain how he’s been able to appear on two worlds at the same time (unless he’s so quick he can literally be in two places at once).
Regardless, here’s the synopsis for what’s to come in next week’s instalment:

According to reports, The CW has started development on a TV series based on the 1939 pulp magazine hero, 'The Avenger', that was also adapted as the DC Comics 1975 mini-series "Justice Inc.", written/illustrated by Jack Kirby.
Instead of a male protagonist, producers Neil Baer ("Under The Dome") and Conde Nast Entertainment will develop the series with Deric Hughes and Benjamin Raab writing the pilot script for a female lead:
The new series will follow 'Alice Benson', who in the wake of her parents' murder, discovers she possesses a superpower as a result of genetic 'bio-hacking' which allows her to transform her appearance at will.
The series will follow Alice as she investigates her parent's death and how she acquired her 'meta-human' abilities.

The series will follow Alice as she investigates her parent's death and how she acquired her 'meta-human' abilities.
