Rep. Mark Walker (R-nc) described female members of the Republican Study Committee — of which he is the chair — as “eye candy” during a press event Tuesday. “The accomplished men and women of the RSC. And women. If it wasn’t sexist, I would say the RSC eye candy, but we’ll leave that out of the record,” Walker said outside the Capitol during a speech outlining the committee’s goals over the next several months. Sentences that start with “If it wasn’t sexist, I would…” rarely end well — and the case of Rep. Mark Walker on Tuesday was no exception.
Walker, the chairman of the Republican Study Committee, is under fire for describing the women in his conservative caucus as the group’s “eye candy” during a presentation outside the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday.
“The accomplished men and women of the RSC — and women, if it wasn’t sexist, I would say the RSC eye candy, but we’ll leave that out of the record — are not attention seekers,” Walker said Tuesday as...

Republicans and Dems in the House are united and, surprisingly, fearless the day after the shooting that critically injured House Whip Rep. Steve Scalise ... and they're ready to play ball for him. TMZ spoke to a handful of congressmen playing in Thursday night's Congressional Baseball Game, and they tell us despite natural safety concerns ... they're not letting it keep them off the field. (Washington) — House Republican leaders were short of the votes needed for their health care overhaul bill hours ahead of a vote demanded by President Donald Trump.
That’s the word Friday from Gop lawmakers and congressional aides as Speaker Paul Ryan met with the president at the White House to deliver the sobering news.
Separately, Vice President Mike Pence was meeting near the Capitol with recalcitrant members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus in a last-ditch effort to secure support.

[[tmz:video id="0_y04df7nr"]] Congressman Mark Walker says the real victims in the Hillary Clinton email scandal are the supporters of Bernie Sanders, who might have gone on to victory if the FBI Director had recommended charging Clinton with a crime. The North Carolina Republican was on Capitol Hill Wednesday when our photog asked about Director Comey's decision not to prosecute. He was incredulous, saying the FBI honcho laid out the case to prosecute her and then walked it back.

If you haven't already watched Dan Trachtenberg's short film 'More Than You Can Chew,' then what are you waiting for? The commercial director and co-host of the Totally Rad Show just recently finished directing a cool short for Black Box TV, a weekly series on YouTube that feels sorta 'Twilight Zone'-ish.
We caught wind of the short a few days ago, and really loved the way Trachtenberg (and co-writer Mark Walker) toy with the audience by constantly altering expectations. Without spoiling it, the short follows two paramedics who show up to the scene of a grisly murder. Things ... get interesting from there.
Watch 'More Than You Can Chew' after the jump now. Trachtenberg was cool enough to answer a few questions for us about the short and what's happened since it premiered, and you can check those out below.

Director Dan Trachtenberg, who you might know from his online television show, Totally Rad Show, has a new short film out with BlackBoxTV called More Than You Can Chew, which you can watch right here below.
Apparently, BlackBoxTV is a Twilight Zone-like anthology series that's put out on YouTube each week, which sounds pretty cool. More Than You Can Chew, which Dan co-wrote with Mark Walker, runs just under 5 minutes. The short centers on a rookie paramedic and her partner who respond to a 911 house call of a most unusual nature. At first it seems like a less-frantic episode of something like CSI, but then the eerie begins and that's where you get your Twilight Zone feel [...]...

Hey gang! Here's a fun short horror thriller for you to check out called More than You Can Chew, which comes from the Totally Rad Show's Dan Trachtenberg, not only is he a host on the popular webs show, but he's also a filmmaker who's done a little commerical work as well. Trachtenberg directed the short film for a Twilight Zone style web series called Black Box TV. It was co-written with Mark Walker, and the story follows two paramedics who respond to a 911 house call where they find something very unexpected. This is a solid short film, and I think you'll enjoy it. Check it out and tell us what you think!

You might know Dan Trachtenberg from his appearances on the /Filmcast [1], or more likely you've seen him on his highly successful internet television show the Totally Rad Show [2], but you might not know that he is a filmmaker. While he's doing mostly commercial work over the last few years, he just finished a narrative short film for Black Box TV [3], a weekly Twilight Zone-like series on YouTube. And honestly, I'd be posting this short even if it wasn't direct by Dan (although I'm using Dan as a lead-in because it might be enough to get a few more people to watch it who might otherwise would have skipped over it). The short is titled "More Than You Can Chew" which was co-written with Mark Walker. The story follows two paramedics who get "more than they can chew" when responding to a 911 house call. I want to see a sequel...

This is another project I've followed from it's beginning. Today we have the press release on Jason Heath's The Cthulhu Key: Legacy for you and somebody please tell me how to pronounce this correctly. The film has a great cast including a lot of whom I consider the "Next Gen" of horror.
From the Press Release:
The Cthulhu Key: Legacy
The debut horror film from Jason Heath is in production with a scheduled Fall 2010 release.
Horror film favorite Bianca Barnett (Albino Farm, Toybox) stars as Kharma Jones, a woman who must unlock the mystery of The Codicil Coetus, an ancient alien text before a bloodthirsty cult can open a gateway to a dimension of madness that will consume the world.
Joshua Moreno (Death Rattle) stars as Castro, leader of an enigmatic cult that exists only to bring an ancient evil back to Earth.

The aliens from Sony's "District 9" scored big during The Hollywood Reporter's 39th annual Key Art Awards.
Honoring the best in movie marketing, Friday's event at Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles saw "District 9" take home 11 awards, including the best-in-show prize for its integrating marketing campaigning as well as three other best-in-show laurels for its outdoor advertising (built around its "Bus Stop for Humans Bus Shelter"), TV spots and digital campaign.
The awards ceremony culminated with Sylvester Stallone receiving the Visionary Award, given annually to a filmmaker who inspires movie marketers.
"At the end of the day, there is no question that Sylvester Stallone delivers great product," THR publisher Lori Burgess said before calling Stallone to the candlelit stage at what once was the altar of the former St. Vibiana Roman Catholic cathedral, which has been converted to a party space. "He's put his stamp on film like very few people of his generation.
