"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" might be set in a gritty dive bar in South Philly, but the series costs millions of dollars to make. The network-grade camera equipment is a huge liability, especially in a neighborhood like the one where the series is set. Much of the show is shot on the set of Paddy's Pub in Los Angeles, but some parts of "It's Always Sunny" are shot on location in Philadelphia, per Collider. The cast and crew of the FX series are unafraid of taking risks, often putting their bodies and their reputation on the line for the series, but sometimes their bold authenticity comes at a price.
The only member of the "It's Always Sunny" cast who's actually from Philly is showrunner Rob McElhenney, who also stars in the show as Mac opposite series co-creators Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton. Each character in Paddy's crew gets one...

Ed Sheeran served up some Philly cheesesteaks between performances on his weekend trip to Philadelphia, following in the spirit of his ongoing “Mathematics Tour” that pairs his massive stadium dates with intimate, theater shows in select cities.
In a decision that kept him neutral in the long-time local rivalry between Geno’s and Pat’s, Sheeran opted to join Sq Philip’s Steaks in South Philadelphia for a surprise afternoon shift on Saturday, where the “Shape of You” singer was taught by brothers-owners Joseph and Philip Baldino about the merits of melted Cheez Whiz, “slabs,” and the difference between “wit” and “witout.”
A crowd formed after Sheeran posted a questionnaire on his Instagram story asking for the “Best” cheesesteak in the city, followed by an address to Philip’s and the promise that “cheesesteaks are on me today.” He later posted a recap of his visit, which kicked off with Sheeran declaring,...

When the allegations of domestic violence first made it to public awareness, Goodell suspended Rice for only two games, and considered the matter closed. The rest of the country didn’t think so. Goodell’s name has almost constantly been trending on Twitter over the last several months, and he has been under near constant scrutiny by both the media and federal authorities.

Donovan McNabb is done playing professional football. The quarterback started his career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1999, and though he spent several years with the Washington Redskins and then the Minnesota Vikings, he signed a one-day contract with the Eagles and officially retired from the NFL on July 29.
"I think when you've played this game for so long, you've just got to know when to say when," McNabb says during the ceremony of the decision. "You get to later in your career and you want to win a championship. You don't want to go through a rebuilding phase. You don't want to be kind of a stop-and-shop guy. You want to go somewhere where you can kind of get settled. And I just felt like my best move was to go on to my next phase."
He continues, "You just have a feel. But it's a tough decision. When you...

I don’t think we’ve seen so many rookies come in and make an instant impact like we just saw this past season. Players like Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Russell Wilson, Ryan Tannehill, Doug Martin, Luke Kuechly, Lavonte David, and Bobby Wagner all had incredible rookie seasons. Most of them helped their teams reach the playoffs or even gave them glimpse of a brighter future.
However, in years past we have seen a lot rookies have great season, but then have a sophomore slump. Players like Sam Bradford, Vince Young, and Reggie Bush had amazing rookie seasons, but then the following year was a major drop-off in production.
They’re probably going to be a few of them this year since I don’t expect all the rookies that I just mentioned to repeat what they just did. So let’s take a look at the 5 players who...
