The story charts a year in the life of a young man who falls in love with a drug-addled prostitute.

Insurgent Media’s slate projects includes the Leonardo DiCaprio documentary, Before The Flood.
De Gallegos arrives from Green Light Pictures, whose slate includes Daniel Radcliffe starrer Imperium.

“Fifty Shades of Grey” star Dakota Johnson’s latest movie “Chloe and Theo” has been acquired by Arc Entertainment, which will release the film in theaters and on VOD on Sept. 4, it was announced Monday by Arc’s head of acquisitions Scott Moesta. Mira Sorvino, Larry King and newcomer Theo Ikummaq, which was written and directed by Ezna Sands. “Chloe and Theo” tells the story of Theo (Ikummaq), an Inuit man from the Arctic who travels to New York City to warn world leaders about the catastrophic impact of global warming on the planet. Upon arrival, he meets a homeless girl named Chloe.

Variety learned this morning of Lobo, a new acquisition from Stone Village (Love in the Time of Cholera, The Master and Margarita. The spec script is about a colony of nearly extinct werewolves in Brazil.
Lobo follows a man who receives a letter and some photos from his mother’s will, and decides to travel to the Amazon to find out his true roots. What he discovers is a clan of lycanthropes whom he eventually helps in their battle for survival.
Dikran Ornekian and Ryan Colluci, who are also working on a graphic novel that will be released as a prequel to the film, penned the script, and Ezna Sands is in the director’s chair. Lobo’s been fast tracked already, with production set to start on October 15th.

Stone Village is quickly coming along as they've not only set up their first production with Bo Zenga's Stan Helsin, but also plan a trip to Brazil where an entire colony of werewolves have taken residence.
