Oakland — Just in time for the holiday season, the Gravy has arrived.
Saint Misbehavin’: The Wavy Gravy Movie opens up in various theaters across America at the start of December. Wavy Gravy is an icon with an ever changing career. He’s gone from the legendary Merry Pranksters to the head of security at the original Woodstock to running a respected charity and finally achieving international greatness as a flavor of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream. The many facets of his life are covered in the documentary directed by Michelle Esrick.
We had a chance to sit down for an extensive interview with Wavy Gravy and Michelle Esrick when the movie premiered at 2009’s Full Frame Documentary Film Festival.
This first part has him discuss getting drunk with Jack Kerouac (On the Road) and dropping acid at the Electric Acid Kool-Aid Tests. Ahhh good times.
Now we get...

At South By Southwest, Patrick Stump unveiled songs from his much-discussed solo project (the one you're not supposed to refer to as a "solo project"), and now he's sitting down to talk about those songs and the album from which they'll come.
Much like his SXSW show, the album (which is still untitled) will feature Stump — and no one else. He's playing everything on it and it will feature no guest stars. The decision to go it alone was a multifaceted one, in part due to his desire to get the songs in his head onto an album, and part due to the fact that he's just not that good at working with others. And feel free to infer what you will from that last statement.

Musician Tom "T-Bone" Wolk, longtime bass player for Hall & Oates, has died. He was 58.
Wolk died Sunday in New York, hours after completing a recording session with Daryl Hall, who was working on a solo album, according to the duo's manager, Jonathan Wolfson. Wolfson said the cause of death was believed to be a heart attack.
Wolk had been scheduled to appear Monday night on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" with Hall and John Oates.

When it was announced that Jimmy Fallon was taking over for Conan O'Brien on NBC's 'Late Night,' a lot of people cringed. Would he do a good job? Could he stop mumbling and getting all fidgety? The answer to the first question is yes, and the answer to the second question is not really but it's actually Ok. He's doing some funny regular bits ("Real Housewives of Late Night," "Wheel of Carpet Samples," the notes he writes on Friday nights), though I can do without "Lick It For Ten."
Tonight he celebrates his first anniversary, and his guests will be Robert Pattinson (I'm sure they'll talk about this regular segment), '30 Rock's' Judah Friedlander, and chef Mario Batali. Note: Hall & Oates were supposed to perform on the show tonight, but they had to cancel due to the sudden death of their bassist T-Bone Wolk. Wolk was also the bassist...
