The first season of 'Jane By Design' came to a close with surprise twists, new beginnings & one major cliffhanger! (This show Needs a second season.) When Jane By Design creator April Blair told me everything would be "put in jeopardy" for Jane (Erica Dasher) on the July 31 summer finale, I didn't realize what an understatement that really was. While Jane began the hour with a major victory in London, she ended it with a disappointing realization about Billy (Nick Roux) — and a very uncertain future at Donovan Decker! I think the best way to break down the drama is to take things couple by couple, beginning with... Ben & Rita: As promised, Ben (David Clayton Rogers) made his triumphant return home this week, but he didn't just do it for Jane! He also professed his love for Rita (Smith Cho), who returned his affections by interrupting his baseball practice with some intense Pda.

Obviously on a show called "Jane By Design," the double life exploits of high schooler/fashion assistant Jane (Erica Dasher) will take center stage. But in "The Online Date," Jane's older brother, Ben (David Clayton Rogers), is in the middle of the action.
While baseball coach Ben's relationship with guidance counselor Rita (Smith Cho) lasted about an episode on screen (two months off-screen), it's clear the two still have feelings for one another. Now that ex-mean girl Amanda (Briga Heelan) is back in town after a stint as an actress in Los Angeles, Rita has some competition for Ben's affection.
"She comes in and is like the popular mean girl opposite sweet Rita," Rogers tells Zap2it. "I believe she played a dead body on one episode of some crime procedural, so she comes back basically as the success story. She has not really gone through the maturation process that some others have.

Plus, Jane reveals a Huge secret — but it's not the one you might think! Jane (Erica Dasher) has always wondered what life would be like if her mom came home, and on the June 26 episode of Jane By Design, she finally got her answer: It pretty much blows. On her first day back in town, Kate (Teri Hatcher) managed to work her way into Jane's love life and work life, nearly blowing her big secret to Gray (Andie MacDowell). Of course, Kate's meddling wasn't a total loss. She pushed Jane to ask Eli (Bryan Dechart) on a date, and even though she didn't go through with it, at least Jane learned that Eli is definitely interested. Kate eventually poured her heart out to her kids — Ben (David Clayton Rogers) was especially resistent to her return — so it looks like the Quimby family is on the road to recovery. Speaking of Ben,...

Prepare yourself for a post full of breakups, makeups and stake...ups! Happy Wednesday! Allow me to break up your monotonous week — or enhance your already glorious summer week if you're lucky enough to be a student — with a little scoop on some of the hottest summer shows. From a surprising lip-lock on Awkward to an equally surprising death on True Blood, I've got the chicken soup for your TV-addicted soul. Jane By Design Like most of you, I was super bummed that Rita (Smith Cho) ended things with Ben (David Clayton Rogers) on the June 12 episode of Jane By Design — so much so that I fired off a tweet of sadness to creator April Blair. Fortunately, she assured me that "happy times on the horizon." So does this mean Ben and Rita's breakup is only temporary? Here's hoping! True Blood The first few episodes of True Blood's fifth season...

Plus, another fan-favorite couple takes a serious hit! Worst Valentine's Day ever. Jane (Erica Dasher) got a taste of fame on the June 12 episode of Jane By Design when she was photographed alongside Donovan Decker's latest high-profile client, but her new celeb status caused major problems for her friendship with Billy (Nick Roux). And while Billy was crushed at first, his budding relationship with new-girl Zoe (Mariah Buzolin) provided just the distraction he needed. Meanwhile, India (India de Beaufort) and Gray (Andie MacDowell) continued to draw their battle lines this week — and they each came prepared with a secret weapon. Gray tried to use India's relationship with Jeremy (Rowly Dennis) to manipulate her, while India used Gray's jealousy of Eli (Bryan Dechart) to manipulate him. India clearly came out the victor of this particular round, as she threatened to expose Jeremy as the mole if he didn't help her take...

100 Questions follows Charlotte Payne (Sophie Winkleman), a young woman who's looking for love. Originally titled 100 Questions for Charlotte Payne, the pilot was directed by Emmy Award-winning director James Burrows. Already getting a late fall premiere, "Ugly Betty" is pushed even farther in the season. Instead of getting the imminent October 9 date, the first episode of the fourth season will arrive on TV screen a week later, October 16. The old date will be used as a re-run slot for ABC's new series in order to get more sampling.
In a press release, the Alphabet said that the show will get a two-hour premiere on the new date with Betty debuting her new look. In addition to the announcement, the network has also released a promotional picture which shows Betty center-stage and the main cast surrounded by butterflies. Betty has a more stylish outfit although she still keeps her red-rimmed glasses and the braces.

Though NBC kept touting that the Justin Bruening revival of Knight Rider was a success, the ratings have told a different story. Then, many were shocked when the network ordered nine more episodes. Now, to little surprise, NBC is pulling the plug.
Knight Rider debuted on September 24th, as a follow-up to the TV movie that aired last February. Taking place 25 years after the original exploits of Michael Knight (David Hasselhoff) and his high-tech, four-wheeled partner, Kitt (voiced by William Daniels). Mike Traceur (Bruening) is the son of Knight and the driver of the newest Kitt (voiced by Val Kilmer). The car was built by Charles Graiman (Bruce Davison), the father of Mike's former girlfriend, Sarah (Deanna Russo). The rest of the cast includes Paul Campbell, Yancey Arias, Sydney Tamiia Poitier, and Smith Cho.
A few revivals of Rider have been attempted over the years but none have been a success.

Sydney Tamiia Poitier, Yancey Arias and Bruce Davison are being left at the curb as NBC orders a major retooling of its Knight Rider revival. The network has shown faith in the show, giving it a full season’s order, only to watch the ratings go into a death spiral.
"It's a reboot," executive producer/showrunner Gary Scott Thompson told The Hollywood Reporter. "We're moving away from the terrorist-of-the-week formula and closer to the original, making it a show about a man and his car going out and helping more regular people, everymen."
The series regulars were contracted for only the first 13 episodes and are not being renewed. Currently, the 15th episode is being filmed and the focus will be tightened on Mike (Justin Bruening), Sarah (Deanna Russo), Billy (Paul Campbell), Zoe (Smith Cho) and Kitt.
The series kicks off the network’s Wednesday night crime block of shows, followed by Life and Law & Order.

Kitt is getting a tune-up.
NBC's freshman drama "Knight Rider" is undergoing a major retooling, bringing it closer to the original 1980s series. Among the changes, the options of three regulars on the show -- Sydney Tamiia Poitier, Yancey Arias and Bruce Davison -- were not picked up beyond the initial 13-episode order.
"It's a reboot," "Knight" executive producer/showrunner Gary Scott Thompson said. "We're moving away from the terrorist-of-the-week formula and closer to the original, making it a show about a man and his car going out and helping more regular people, everymen."
Such a change would make "Knight" a better fit into NBC's newly rebranded crime drama Wednesday lineup alongside "Life" and "Law & Order."
The revamped "Knight" will kick off with the two-part Episodes 10-11. NBC is planning a major push, including possibly airing Episode 10 on Sunday after an NFL football game in January, with the conclusion airing the following Wednesday.

We recently assessed Knight Rider’s chances for survival in the cutthroat world of television and came to a conclusion that viewers must give the NBC remake a chance. In fact, our very own John Kubicek also named Knight Rider’s Five Steps for Success, which might just help the series, which has garnered poor reviews from critics. Executive producer Gary Scott Thompson also revealed the they took into consideration the original series and incorporate new characters into it, making “sure that those four characters clicked into what the new mythology was for the series.”

The actor next will appear in Evan Almighty.
"Me & Lee" from Lionsgate, centers on Joel (Jamie Kennedy), a chronic back pain victim who gets more than he bargained for when he undergoes "bionic" surgery in a secret lab run by actor Lee Majors (playing himself) in the basement of his Beverly Hills mansion.
