"Fat Chef" (Thurs., 10 p.m. Est on Food Network) combines two of the hottest trends on reality television right now-- cooking and weight loss.
On Thursday night's episode, viewers followed Mike Digby on his journey toward a healthier life.
The chef weighed over 300 lbs when he applied to be on the show, and he knew he needed to lose weight for the sake of his health: "I was on a road to death." He was also sick and tired of being called "Big Mike."
With the help of therapists, nutritionists and trainers, Mike spent 16 weeks on a grueling diet and fitness regime and underwent an astonishing transformation.
Fat chef no more!
When trainer Brett Hoebel presented the newly svelte Mike to assembled family and friends, he told them that Mike's goal had been to lose 80 lbs. However, he had blown through that to lose an astonishing 100lbs.

It's official: cover girl and tennis hottie Anna Kournikova will fill the shoes of former trainer Jillian Michaels on NBC's hit reality competition The Biggest Loser, thinspiration for thousands of obese Americans (and porn for the rest of us, Jk, lol). Michaels announced that the 11th season of the show would be her last, and the hiring of Kournikova represents a new directon for Loser, says its showrunner Todd Lubin.
The makeover will see The Biggest Loser "getting slightly away from just the tape measure, and getting into overall well being and health. That's where Loser needs to go." Lubin added that trainers Brett Hoebel and Cara Castronuov will not be returning to the show.

"The Biggest Loser" has an even bigger announcement to make on Tuesday's finale.
Reportedly, tennis star Anna Kournikova will be joining the show in Jillian Michaels' place next season, as she says goodbye to focus on family. X-17 first broke the news, saying that her $9 million Florida estate was put on the market earlier this month so that Kournikova could relocate to Los Angeles for the show.
While USA Today attempted a confirmation from NBC, they would only say:
"We can't comment at this time on the multiple casting rumors surrounding the show, but look forward to making a big announcement about Season 12 of 'The Biggest Loser' at our Season 11 finale Tuesday, May 24 at 8 p.m. Et on NBC."
If the rumor proves true, Kournikova will join new judges Cara Castronuova and Brett Hoebel, who have already been announced for next season.

It's been a rough couple of weeks for the Red Team on 'The Biggest Loser' (Tue., 8Pm Et on NBC). After two losses in a row, the only contestant left for Brett Hoebel was Courtney, which put a lot of pressure on her this week. The other three teams each have three members, but in a way that makes it harder for them.
Especially when one of those teams dropped only seven pounds between the three members. Bob Harper was terrified his Blue Team would fumble on the scale after a couple of strong weeks in a row, while a Hollywood night out on the town for one team left their trainer more than concerned.
It was refreshing to see everyone coming to the Weigh-In committed to the process and focused on their weight loss rather than gameplay. But that didn't make the elimination any easier.
