Ashton Kutcher’s unscripted series Going From Broke has been handed a second season by Crackle Plus as the AVOD service unveils its latest slate of originals.
The digital platform is leaning heavily on scripted and non-scripted series from its sister company, Landmark Studio, which was set up by owner Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment and former Idw Entertainment President David Ozer last year.
The slate was announced as part of its NewFronts advertising presentation.
Going From Broke, which the company said has scored 16M views, will return for a second ten-part run in the first quarter of 2021. From executive producer Kutcher, the series sheds light on the national crisis of student debt and offers practical solutions for young people to go from broke. Produced by Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, it is hosted by Chegg CEO Dan Rosensweig.
On the scripted side, Crackle Plus has unveiled four originals.

The Geico 500 race at the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama was marred by multiple crashes Sunday, including a so-called “‘Big One,” involving 17 cars that made the Nascar competition look more like a demolition derby. Even Dale Earnhardt Jr. had car trouble, skidding and crashing into his teammate No. 5 Kasey Kahne early in the race. He rejoined the track after a fix only to crash again — into No. 19 Carl Edwards on Lap 110. Earnhardt’s car caught fire as his hood smashed over his windshield. The driver admitted his beloved Amelia — a Chevy Chassis named after the famed aviator Amelia Earhart — was probably.

Brad Keselowski's face was puffy, and he took a couple quick drinks of water to wash the blood from his mouth. So close to a big playoff win, Jeff Gordon was left with a cut on his lip. Tony Stewart Returns to Nascar
Tony Stewart returned to Nascar just under a month since the death of fellow racer Kevin Ward. Stewart had skipped the last three races out of respect for Wards family, though his return last night was not what he was hoping for. While the crowd welcomed him warmly, the three time Nascar champion came in 41st out of 43 racers. Kasey Kahne won the race, while famous speedster Danica Patrick (who races under Stewart's team) placed sixth, her best finish to date.
Stewart is known for his often pushy and difficult disposition. Below are a number of his meltdowns.

Newly crowned 2014 Daytona 500 champion Dale Earnhardt Jr. spoke exclusively to Uinterview about his hopes for the racing season.
Earnhardt spoke to Uinterview about his run in with Marcos Ambrose at the Sprint Unlimited earlier this February. Earnhardt and Ambrose were racing when Ambrose pushed Earnhardt into the fence, ending the race for both of them.
“We were just kind of going for the same place… I was out front and Marcus was pushing me down the front straight way, and I got to moving around probably a little too much in front of his car, searching for some air,” Earnhardt told Uinterview, “And he decided to start getting offensive on making some moves of his own and we were just miscommunicating with each other at that point in time and ran into each other.”
Earnhardt says he holds no grudges against Ambrose, regardless of how angry he may have seemed at the time.

I love Nascar, which is probably why this episode of Necessary Roughness disappointed me. It got more wrong about the racing series than it got right.
Unless it's for a serious medical condition, a driver couldn't possibly blow off four races and still keep his ride. But for the many fans who don't follow Nascar, I'll put those concerns aside and pretend I have no clue who Kasey Kahne is.
