After a short run in theaters, The Fall Guy is now available to purchase on Digital HD with a never-before-seen Extended Cut that features an addiitonal 20 minutes of action-packed new footage from the David Leitch-directed actioner, which stars 3x Academy Award-nominee Ryan Gosling (The Nice Guys; Blade Runner 2049; La La Land) and Academy Award-nominee Emily Blunt (Edge of Tomorrow; The Devil Wears Prada; The Adjustment Bureau) in the lead roles.
The Fall Guy was one of the best received movies of the year, boasting an 82% Certified Fresh rating and an 87% Audience Score on review aggregator RottenTomatoes. However, the warm word of mouth didn't exactly translate to box office success as, to date, it has only grossed over $127.4 million worldwide on its estimated $150 million production budget, likely resulting in Universal fast tracking the film's digital launch.

Exclusive: Following a competitive auction, Sony Pictures has landed the highly-coveted spec How To Save A Marriage from Ross Evans with Robert Pattinson on board to produce. Evans penned the script and Pattinson’s producing partner Brighton McCloskey via their Icki Eneo Arlo banner will join as producer along with Geoff Shaevitz and Evan Silverberg via Entertainment 360.
Plot details are being kept under wraps and studio sources add the project is still early development. Evans will also exec produce. Insiders say the deal was in the seven figure range with several other suitors in the mix.
While his deal is only to produce at this time (though sources close to the studio hope that it can be developed as a potential star vehicle down the road), insiders add what got Sony so interested in the package is how hands on he wanted to be as the project was being developed.

Oscar nominees Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt are the Barbenheimer comedy duo we didn’t know we’ve been waiting for in The Fall Guy. Trailer number two shows off more of the chemistry between Gosling and Blunt while also delivering more action, more humor, and enough shirtless Gosling scenes to keep audiences satiated until the film’s theatrical release on May 3, 2024.
Joining Gosling and Blunt in the action comedy are Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Bullet Train), Winston Duke (Black Panther franchise), and Academy Award nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once).
Drew Pearce (Hobbs & Shaw) wrote the screenplay, stuntman David Leitch directed, with Leitch, Gosling, Kelly McCormick, and Guymon Casady produced. Executive producers include Pearce, Geoff Shaevitz, and the creator of the original Fall Guy television series, Glen A. Larson.

Buckle up because Universal Pictures has released a brand new trailer for "The Fall Guy." With a pair of huge stars in Ryan Gosling ("Barbie") and Emily Blunt ("Oppenheimer) at its center — both of whom are coming off of Oscars nominations for their work on two of 2023's biggest movies — this flick has summer blockbuster written all over it. A reboot of largely forgotten IP, a director who knows his way around action, and a couple of very charming stars? It's all here. Check out the trailer for yourself above.
Lots of action and lots of comedy at play here. David Leitch, whose previous credits include "Bullet Train" and "Deadpool 2," seems to be very much at home with the material, especially since he was a stuntman before becoming an A-list director. It looks, in a word, fun. That's because, for my money, it is a great deal of fun.

Ryan Gosling’s stuntman-bounty hunter in “The Fall Guy” is apparently a Swiftie.
Universal released a Super Bowl ad on Sunday for David Leitch’s thriller, which features multiple action sequences, aliens and space cowboys. In one scene, Gosling cries in his car while listening to Taylor Swift’s song “All Too Well.”
“Have you been crying to Taylor Swift?” Emily Blunt asks Gosling in the trailer.
“Doesn’t everybody?” Gosling replies.
The scene in the Super Bowl ad most likely alludes to the NFL’s coverage of the pop star during the 2023 season. Swift has attended multiple NFL games to cheer on her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The pop star’s arrival at the 2024 Super Bowl today dominated pregame coverage on CBS Sports’ NFL, even hours before kickoff.

The Fall Guy revolves around Gosling’s Colt Seavers, a battle-scarred stuntman who, having left the business a year earlier to focus on both his physical and mental health, is drafted back into service when the star of a mega-budget studio movie—being directed by his ex, Jody Moreno (Blunt), goes missing.
The film is inspired by the 1980s ABC series created by Glen A. Larson and starred Lee Majors as Colt Seavers. The Fall Guy ran for five seasons on the alphabet network with over 100 episodes produced.

Universal Pictures is relocating the unknown stuntman. The studio announced Tuesday that its upcoming adaptation of the 1980s TV series “The Fall Guy” is moving to May 3, 2024.

After Vin Diesel had left the stage and introduced high-octane Fast X footage, a voiceover asked CinemaCon attendees to remain patient for a special surprise as professionals prepped the stage.
The big screen then promoted EightySeven North Productions banner, while a team of stunt professionals from the company stormed the stage to show off their impressive set of skills. It started with a motorcycle rider dragging a man across the stage followed by a gymnastics display, a mini car zooming back and forth, and a slew of aerial flips and tricks. Minutes later, filmmaker David Leitch took the stage and “detonated” two performers who jumped from the Colosseum rafters to mats on the stage.

Hannah Waddingham, who broke out as the tough-as-nails but complicated football club owner on Ted Lasso, has joined the high-flying cast of Ryan Gosling’s adventure feature, The Fall Guy.
The actress joins Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Stephanie Hsu and Winston Duke on the call sheet for the Universal movie, which is inspired by the 1980s television series. Bullet Train director David Leitch is helming the action extravaganza, which is now shooting in Australia.
In a switch from the original 1980s show that starred Lee Majors, the story doesn’t focus on a stuntman with a side hustle as a bounty hunter. Instead, the script by Drew Pearce focuses on a battered and past-his-prime stuntman (Gosling) who finds himself back on a movie with the star (Taylor-Johnson) for whom he doubled long ago and who replaced him. The wrinkle, however, is that the star has gone missing.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, last seen opposite Brad Pitt in action movie Bullet Train, has joined Ryan Gosling in The Fall Guy, Universal’s big-screen take on the 1980s adventure television series.
David Leitch, who directed Bullet Train, is helming the action piece, which will also star Emily Blunt.
Fall Guy was created by Glen A. Larson, the prolific TV producer whose output ranged from Battlestar Galactica to Magnum P.I., and starred Lee Majors as a Hollywood stuntman who, to make ends meet, has a side hustle as a bounty hunter. The show ran on ABC from 1981 to 1986.
The feature project is jettisoning the side hustle and keeping the name and stunts, with Gosling playing a battered and past-his-prime stuntman who finds himself back on a movie with the star he worked with long ago and who replaced him. The problem, however, is that the star is now missing.

Exclusive: Studiocanal, Entertainment 360 and The Picture Company have made deals to turn the 2021 documentary film The Lost Leonardo into a limited series. Gillian Weeks will write the script.
Directed by Andreas Koefoed, the docu explores the origin and surreal journey of the now famous painting called the “Salvator Mundi.” Discovered in an estate sale in Louisiana in 2005 by enterprising art dealers and purchased for 1000, the painting took on a life of its own when it was restored and authenticated as a true Leonardo Da Vinci. The authentication came from Dianne Modestini, a renowned art restorer and da Vinci expert.
After several real-life twists and turns that saw the painting travel through the underbelly of the international art world, it eventually sold at Christie’s auction house in New York for 450 million. That was the highest price ever paid for a piece of art, and it was purchased by Mohammed bin Salman,...
