It’s been a long four years since Real Housewives of New York City fans have seen Alex McCord and her husband, Simon van Kempen, grace Bravo reality TV screens. That said, the eccentric duo left behind a lasting impression as one of the franchise’s most bizarre couples that could never be forgotten — no matter how hard we try. Between Simon’s undying love affair with Speedos and Alex’s misplaced sense that she was destined to be a model, the pair was reality TV gold. But, as it turns out, they just couldn’t hang with the rest of the “Bravolebrities.” According to Page Six, Alex, 44, and Simon, 54, packed up their belongings, as well as their two children, and moved to The Land Down Under. "When we made the move to Australia, we both thought, ‘Ok, this is really kind of burning the house down and walking away.

Courtney Stodden’s "momager," Krista Stodden, is jumping to her daughter’s defense, saying that former "Real Housewives of New York" cast member Alex McCord has been bully the teenage bride. But now, McCord and her husband, Simon Van Kempen, are stepping forward to defend McCord, blaming Krista for her daughter's behavior.
“Krista's attitude is pretty telling," McCord tells The Huffington Post. "She said that parents have an obligation to set good examples for their children, and the other people on this show didn’t set good examples. Newsflash: None of us are Courtney's parent. We were not there to parent her or anyone else. That's Krista's job, not ours, not Dr. Jenn's and not Doug's. Frankly, if Krista had done a better job of example-setting and parenting to begin with, Courtney wouldn't be acting out as she does."

Courtney Stodden’s sexy outfits have caused so much controversy among cast members of VH1’s "Couples Therapy" that lead therapist Dr. Jenn Berman decided action had to be taken.
“For 10 days I'd done my best to avoid Courtney, and the only time I spoke with her was in group-therapy sessions," cast member Simon Van Kempen told The Huffington Post. "After [Van Kempen's wife] Alex [McCord] had unloaded her burden of being an 11-year-old discovering her dead father, Courtney just sat there unable to sprout any thought other than her rehearsed pageant-ese while dressed like a stripper. Later that day, when she returned to the house wearing even less, not only did Dr. Jenn flip but we did too.”
Dr. Berman sternly instructed the vivacious 18-year-old to cover up, and Stodden soon returned to the house wearing skin-tight jeans and a turquoise top -- an ensemble that, by her standards, was downright conservative. She explained to her husband,...

In an upcoming episode of VH1's "Couples Therapy," controversial teen bride Courtney Stodden claims she was physically attacked by fellow castmate Alex McCord. I spoke with the former "Real Housewives of New York City" star to hear her side of the story and find out what made her snap.

At one point, I overheard Dr. Jenn [Berman] giving what sounded like an ultimatum about Courtney's dress, and I just wanted to wipe that condescending smirk off her face.”
Alex and her husband, Simon Van Kempen, were locked away in the house for three weeks with other celebrity couples, including Courtney and her husband Doug Hutchison, while taping the second season of the reality show.

After his lackluster performance in the presidential debate last week, it seems as if President Barack Obama has received advice from just about everyone in America. Now he can add “Octomom” Nadya Suleman to that list.
“In a debate, if someone said something not true I would state what I believe. I don’t think we should judge other human beings unless they have been an hour in their shoes. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that doesn’t mean it’s the truth. If you have God on your side the world can be against you and nothing else matters.”
And Suleman isn't just playing armchair quarterback, she's about to be doing some debating of her own. She...

Many "Real Housewives of New York City" viewers were disappointed that former cast member Jill Zarin will not be returning next month for the show's fifth season. But Zarin said she was told by Bravo that it was the show's fans who requested the shakeup.

"Real Housewives of New York" alumni Alex McCord and husband Simon van Kempen were repeatedly taunted by their Upper East Side cast mates for "slumming it" in the city's biggest borough. Now the couple are calling the show a "train wreck" and a "faux reality show" -- and attempting to make a buck off their much-discussed location.

13. Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison as Courtney Stoddens What can you say about two people in love who obviously have a very normal and healthy sexual relationship? Not much. But there’s a lot to say about Courtney Stodden and her husband Newbown Benjamin Button, especially this Halloween, where they dressed up as slutty twins. (Photo via Celebuzz) 12. Alex McCord and Simon Van Kempen as Frankenstein and his bride… The Bride of Frankenstein Posted mainly to ask: That’s his real forehead right? Teresa Giudice must be drooling with envy. Also I kind of miss these two fame-hungry lugs. 11. Snooki as A Nasty Pussy I believe the French would call this costume Apropos. Then again she could also easily pass for Batman’s nemesis Melanoma. Speaking of witch… 10. Kim Kardashian as Poison Ivy Sure, she’s getting divorced today, but why not celebrate this million year old holiday by dressing...

Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen had a rough time accepting that their Real Housewives of New York City careers had come to an end. So much so that after they learned they'd been booted from the reality series, along with Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon and Cindy Barshop, the couple tried to convince Bravo execs, including Andy Cohen, that they were worth keeping on for the upcoming season. So how did the network respond? A source close to Bravo tells E! News that the feisty couple, who made a last-ditch effort to stay on the reality show in a big way last Thursday, were treated very kindly by both Bravo and Cohen and that there are no hard feelings, but they will "100...

After being booted off The Real Housewives of New York City last week along with castmates Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon and Cindy Barshop, the couple are fighting for their reality-tv lives, attempting to sway the powers that be to stay on the show and still collect a paycheck from Bravo. So what's their latest scheme? As of last night, Alex and unofficial Housewife No. 6, Simon, were planning to head to Bravo HQ in New York today to meet with reality honcho Andy Cohen and producers to make a last-ditch bid to remain on the show in some capacity. "Basically, they've been begging to stay on. Simon...

The Real Housewives of New York City did some major spring cleaning last week, clearing room for some shiny new castmembers. So who will fill the spots vacated by Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, Cindy Barshop and and Alex McCord (and, by extension, unofficial Housewife No. 6 Simon Van Kempen)? They are New York City socialites Heather Thomson, Carole Radziwill and Aviva Drescher, per the New York Daily News. Carole, a widow, was related by marriage to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and friendly with the late John F. Kennedy Jr.'s wife, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. She's also an author and a former ABC News producer, working with Diane Sawyer. Heather, a mom of two, is a clothing designer...

Maybe it's time to call it the Real Housecleaning of New York City. As many as four of the titular leading ladies of Bravo's Real Housewives of New York City are in imminent danger of losing their gigs, multiple sources close to the show tell E! News. So who could be facing eviction from the series and who looks to be safe? Producers are definitely sticking with Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and LuAnn de Lesseps, aka The Countess. But Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon and Alex McCord (and, by extension, unofficial Housewife No. 6 Simon Van Kempen) are not in Bravo's plans for the upcoming fifth season, E! News has learned. And, according to unconfirmed reports in Us Weekly and GossipCop,...

Naughty But Nice Rob Shuter of HuffingtonPost.com reports that sources inside Bravo told him that the ladies were contacted directly by the network with the news — and that they had no idea that they were about to be pinkslipped, according to the report.
Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan will remain with the show and three new cast members will be added. Now, there is a chance that one, two or all three of the benched Housewives will be asked back, if any or all of the new cast members do not prove interesting enough in front of the cameras, according to a source.

The newlyweds were given quite a welcome Aug. 31 at an over-the-top bash thrown to welcome them to New York City — and HollywoodLife.com was there for the entire spectacle!
All eyes were on Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries as they celebrated their sexy nuptials — again — in the Big Apple, and they did it in a way only a Kardashian couple could. We’re talking bondage-inspired violinists, acrobats and feathered palm trees!
The party, dubbed an evening of “style and glamour,” was thrown by Kim’s friend, Niche Media founder Jason Binn, and celebrity wedding and party planner Colin Cowie. It was held at Capitale, an event space located in a building built in 1895 in lower Manhattan’s Chinatown neighborhood.
Aside from Kim’s older sister Kourtney and her partner Scott Disick, guests included the star of VH1′s Lala’s Full Court Life, Lala Vasquez; boybander-turned-SiriusXM host Lance Bass; Spin...

The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8. Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world, with “NOH8″ painted on one cheek in protest. The images are widely used on various social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to spread the message of equality. But do these pictures spread the message of equality? Much like a tree in the forest, when someone who was on Survivor in 2002 puts duct tape on her mouth and stares sexily into a camera lens, does anybody hear it? Is it really a form of activism? Although the intentions of NOH8 may be pure, it’s not like some bigot who thinks the Messiah will uproot all the world’s mighty Sequoias...

To be a cast member on any iteration of Bravo’s The Real Housewives franchise, you have to believe in some deluded, narcissistic fantasy that you will or have mastered a craft other than Being On TV, and your friends, family, and co-stars (and Andy Cohen) will surely help fuel the fire by indulging you in that hallucination. That’s why there are so many Housewives who have decided to be “singers,” as if singing into a microphone can be so tightly manipulated that your off-key warbling can sound like robotic melody. Oh wait, it can. Auto Tune. There you go… Below, we rate the awful forays into music by the Housewives, based on just how awful they are, and they’re all awful. Countess LuAnn De Lesseps of The Real Housewives Of New York City is just abysmal. She’s already rich, and cashed in on her adopted fancy...

HollywoodNews.com: ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ star Alex McCord has been with the franchise for some time now so she feels she understands what Bravo does and doesn’t want to feature.
The reality TV star recently admitted that Bravo doesn’t want to get too political, states Wetpaint. McCord commented that while her nude photos could be discussed, politics and religion are too touchy.
“[T]he only [political] thing you saw was me dressing up as Sarah Palin for Halloween,” McCord commented while her husband, Simon Van Kempen added that it dates the show.
However, there have been some political matters and holidays covered on other franchises of the show.
Do you think the show stays away from all that?

The action was nonstop in the Rhony finale. Countess LuAnn threw a one-year dating party, Simon hopes she marries Jacques and loses her title and Ramona nuttily thinks she’s pregnant at 54.
With all the insults and backstabbing that these supposed besties have laid on all season, I don’t know how I’m going to wait till next year to pick up where this busybody crowd has left off.
Last night’s, July 21st, episode gave the ladies every opportunity to lash out at each other. First of all no one is particularly happy for the Countess who is ecstatic that she’s so in love with Jacques Azoulay that she’s throwing a one-year dating party.
It seemed like a fine idea to me, but not to Jill Zarin who said she hoped that it was an engagement announcement party or it might not be worth her while to schlep herself there.

It’s all coming to an end — that is, season four of ‘Real Housewives of New York’ at least. And we have the first ever photos of LuAnn’s performance with singer Natalie Cole. Take a look!
Countess LuAnn de Lesseps is no slacker — and she is certain to never even cross the possibility of low key when planning an event. On the last episode of Real Housewives of New York season four, she goes above and beyond to plan an anniversary party for her guy Jacques Azoulay.
The exclusive affair takes place aboard a yacht titled Romantica. Jacques loves singer Natalie Cole, so naturally LuAnn books her. But there’s a hook — LuAnn has to sing with her. Don’t worry, she didn’t mind.
The countess describes the experience: “It was heaven,” she says. “Can you imagine? Singing with an icon? What a total thrill!” She showers the singer with praise,...

The theme of last night’s episode, July 14th, was a pile-on full-fledged attack on Countess LuAnn, in what should have been her moment of triumph.
Is it jealousy? Is has to be. What else would truly explain why this season’s trouble twins — Alex McCord and husband Simon van Kempen and blonde busybody Ramona Singer would get their knives out when the Countess prepared to record her music video for Chic, C’est La Vie.
I can see why the Countess would make Alex, Simon and Ramona feel insecure. She’s tall, she’s stunning, she carries herself with confidence and she has ambitious ideas.
You have to give her kudos for having the gumption to get it together to record a sexy, fun song like Chic, C’est La Vie that celebrates being a strong, sexy woman in the prime of and in control of her life.

It was a bonding week for most of the “wives”. Guess they needed a breather after all the nasty confrontations between Alex and Simon, and Jill and Ramona and Jill, this season.
Whew! Last night ‘s (July 7th) episode of Rhony was so heartwarming I wondered if Oprah had a hand in the production. The theme was bonding. All kinds of bonding.
First off, Jill Zarin finally got Alex McCord‘s weird mean-tweeting husband Simon van Kempen off her back. In last week’s episode she worked hard to avoid a confrontation with the doggedly persistent Simon who felt that Jill owed him an apology for past feuding even though Jill had already done a symbolic apology to his wife Alex by literally burning up their previous issues, written down on paper, in Alex’s backyard barbecue.

Alex McCord and husband Simon Van Kempen totally weirded out Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon and Countess LuAnn and even I got weirded out by their bizarre behavior.
Yes, I know Jill Zarin isn’t always blameless when it comes to the Rhony feuds, but I felt badly for Jill when she was cornered by creepy Simon at Ramona Singer‘s bash last night , June 30th, in the latest episode of Real Housewives of New York.
“I have to talk to you,” Simon insists to Jill in the middle of what was supposed to be a good time party for Ramona and Sonja‘s birthdays. “I know you’ve made up with my wife Alex, but you haven’t made up with me,” he blurts out.
That’s weird enough. How many men would want to be embroiled in a deep relationship or any kind of relationship with their wife’s friend?...

Jill & Alex have worked through their drama — but Alex’s hubby, Simon, feels left out. He thinks he needs to settle things with Jill as well! Really Simon?
Alex McCord‘s husband Simon van Kempen seems to try to get himself involved in any little piece of drama that goes down on The Real Housewives of New York City. And even if Alex has buried the hatchet with her co-star Jill Zarin, Simon still feels the need to put his two cents in — that’s why he approaches Jill during the June 30 episode and asks to have a talk so that they can work out their own issues.
“I want to have a talk,” Simon tells Jill. “Nothing’s the matter, but you and Alex have burned, burned the fire pit and I want to get over this too. I’m not there yet. But I don’t want to do it here.
