Citizens go above and beyond to investigate murders in SundanceTV’s True Crime Story: Citizen Detective. The new addition to the True Crime Story franchise will premiere on October 12, 2023, with new episodes of the six episode season premiering on Thursdays at 10pm Et/Pt on SundanceTV, AMC+, and Sundance Now.
True Crime Story: Citizen Detective, executive produced by Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, Jim Fraenkel, and Josh Bingham, features the stories of a young man who died just blocks from his home and the identification of bodies found in barrels.
SundanceTV offers this description of the new true crime series:
“The six-part series tells the gripping stories of everyday citizens who have solved or are attempting to solve a murder. Each episode focuses on an individual citizen detective – or a group working together – and the case that they’re consumed by, unpacking the details of the case and exploring...

“The Hills: New Beginnings” will not be returning for a third season on MTV, Variety has confirmed.
The reality TV reboot starred several key players from the original hit series, including Spencer and Heidi Pratt, Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Justin Bobby Brescia, Whitney Port, Frankie Delgado and Jason Wahler. Newcomers included Ashley Wahler, Jennifer Delgado and Kaitlynn Carter, along with pizza entrepreneur Caroline D’Amore and Brandon Thomas Lee, the son of Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson. Original cast member Kristin Cavallari also made an appearance in Season 2.
However, a source close to production tells Variety that the franchise is being reimagined and the IP will live on with new iterations to come. Previous seasons of “The Hills” are currently available to stream on Paramount Plus.

Exclusive: From humble beginnings showcasing drag artists on New York’s anarchic Manhattan Cable, to creating a stiletto-striding global phenomenon in the shape of RuPaul’s Drag Race, World of Wonder has been bringing its punkish, colorful spirit to our screens for 30 years.
The production company, founded by Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey in 1991, is preparing to launch Drag Race in Spain this weekend and expects the format to sashay its way into 10 different territories before too long. In doing so, they have created a brand that celebrates talent in many forms and given rise to a new bread of television star, all while delivering a message of hope and acceptance.
“Randy and I have always felt that drag is pure inspiration and incredible artistry. It combines painting, fashion, style, music, dancing, and above all, the ability to make something out of nothing,” says Bailey, speaking to Deadline over Zoom.

Today marks the four year anniversary of "American Idol in 60 Seconds." Deep breath.
To celebrate, we've re-posted the first "Idol in 60 Seconds" I ever produced. (In 2008, most of my early recaps were taken down thanks to a change in our video encoding process.) It's funny to think that only a few hundred people saw this four years ago when it premiered.
As you can see, not much has changed in the snark-a-second formula. Hell, I'm still sitting at the same cluttered desk. (Seriously, MTV? Will you ever give me an actual office?)
The rest is history, as they say. By my count, I've done 101 more "60 Second" entries since, summarizing everything from :Project Runway" to "Trl," from Al Gore's "Live Earth" concerts to actual elections, from Paula Abdul's gonzo Bravo reality show to Kelly Clarkson's "My December" drama.
The recap segment has been praised by "Idol" winners, Bravo...

In early March of this year, Craig Brandmeier found himself in New York City for the first time. His presence here in the big city was in and of itself a triumph. Approximately six months earlier, Craig had undergone an extremely risky medical procedure when he received a bone marrow transplant from his brother. It was a treatment of last resort for Craig. According to doctors, it was his only chance for survival.
Craig had successfully battled Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a rare blood cancer that struck without warning shortly after Craig had proposed to his girlfriend at the age of 23. (It was the same disease that just struck down former Lfo singer Rich Cronin at the age of 35.) An aggressive regimen of chemotherapy sent the disease into remission, but the chemo ravaged Craig’s immune system, leaving him defenseless against infections and inevitably a relapse of the disease.
