Match #1: Nathan Frazer & Axiom def. The Lwo and Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Nathan Frazer and Axiom are officially headed to Stand & Deliver after the dynamic duo defeated The Lwo and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match to become the No. 1 Contenders to the Nxt Tag Team Titles. The speed of Frazer and Axiom was matched by Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro, but the brute strength of Gallows and Anderson clashed with their speedy and athletic opponents. Chaos ensued when all six Superstars found themselves in the ring, and a Magic Killer to Wilde opened the door for Frazer to hit a scintillating 450 Splash to punch his team’s ticket to Stand & Deliver.

Match #1: Dijak def. Shawn Spears The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In a match with major Nxt Stand & Deliver implications, Dijak managed outlast Shawn Spears in an incredible one-on-one match between two of the brand’s best. As the two Superstars warred inside the ring, Joe Gacy appeared from under the ring and stole Spears’ signature steel chair, seemingly helping his former rival Dijak. After a brutal, hard-hitting affair, Spears went looking for his chair only to find it missing. The slight distraction gave Dijak enough time to recover and after another back and forth, he finally managed to hit Feast Your Eyes to give him the major win.

Before the match could even begin, Paxley attacked Perez as the two brawled at the ringside area. Paxley put up a fight, but a Pop Rox into a crossface from Perez sealed the victory. Jordan was unfazed by the experience of James and the threat of Izzi Dame on the outside as she even hit a picture-perfect moonsault to the outside to take them both out. Femi used his incredible blend of explosiveness and strength to keep King off-balance for nearly the whole match, but it was King’s past that came back to haunt him. Austin Theory became the No. 1 Contender to the United States Championship after The Miz showed up to Friday Night SmackDown and cost LA Knight the match. Knight was on a mission to prove a point, especially with The Miz at ringside, as he bashed Theory’s face on the announce table right in front of The A-Lister. Wrestlemania is upon us today and the WWE loves to go all out with surprises for their audience. Last night at Nxt: Takeover Orlando for example, fans were shocked to see Drew McIntyre make his return to the WWE after a long stay at Impact Wrestling. Drew was the first member of the Impact Wrestling roster that left the company after Anthem purchased that company. Soon to follow were Matt and Jeff Hardy. The Hardy's made their way to Ring of Honor for what has ended up being a short stay. Last night at Supercard of Honor, the Hardy's faced off against The Young Bucks and lost the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championships to them in an amazing ladder match. People have speculated that the Hardy's stay in Ring of Honor would be a short one.
If the tweet above is to be believed, that appears to be the case.

WWE has a long standing tradition of not shaking things up too much right before Wrestlemania. With Smackdowns pay-per-view Elimination Chamber done two weeks ago the biggest change in that show was Cena losing the title to Bray Wyatt. Raw's final exclusive pay-per-view played out like everyone thought it would with only one title changing hands. When Stephanie McMahon and Triple H don't bother to show up on camera and leave Mick Foley in charge it shows that even the head brass didn't want to shake things up. Now for the next 29 days everything will be set for Wrestlemania with only a couple questions still to address.

Monday Night Raw is in the books for another week. Raw is building towards Fastlane, the last stop in the road before Wrestlemania. How did the show fare?
Roman Reigns faced off against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a handicap match. You would think that the WWE Tag Team Champions would find a way to finish off Roman Reigns easily and in quick order yet they ended up winning the match by Dq after Roman took a chair from Luke Gallows and hit him with it. Why have Anderson and Gallows be your Tag Team Champions and yet go out of your way to make them look weak? I get that not everyone is going to win each and every week but you would think that during a handicap match of all things, the Tag Team Champs would find a way to easily handle one person. Having Roman Reigns...

In my 25 years as a wrestling fan, Royal Rumble has always been one of my favourite annual events. The opportunity to see a bunch of your favourite WWE stars and the potential for surprises make it a night to keep an eye on. This year has some interesting matches, and the Rumble itself it set to be a star-studded affair featuring a handful of veteran names from the past, primarily Goldberg, Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker.
The Kick-Off show matches began with the women of Smackdown Live going at it in a six-woman tag team match. It was a shame that this seemingly got bumped from the main show, and I hope more effort is given to the women’s division on Smackdown soon. There are seperate feuds going on, so maybe we will see multiple women’s matches at the next Smackdown Live exclusive PPV. Nikki Bella, Naomi and...

January 24th, 1988 was a great day in wrestling history. On that date, live on the USA Network, the WWE held their first ever Royal Rumble. In classic Vince McMahon fashion, holding this event for free on cable was a way to keep folks from ordering the Bunkhouse Stampede pay per view Jim Crockett Promotions put out that same day. The Royal Rumble match itself was revolutionary. Starting with two performers in the ring, at regularly timed intervals, another performer would come out until, in the case of the 1988 Royal Rumble, all twenty participants were in the ring. The winner of that first Rumble was Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
Fast forward 29 years and here we are at the 30th Royal Rumble. Unlike the Rumble’s that have occurred the past five years, the WWE has done an amazing job of promoting this event. They have some great matches in store as well...

Last year, it was announced that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was the world’s highest paid actor, definitively proving that there is absolutely a place in Hollywood for the charismatic pro wrestler. He’s not alone, either, now that John Cena’s roles in Trainwreck and Sisters have turned him into a comedy commodity.
Of course, not everyone is able to transcend playing a CGI man-scorpion. Most wrestlers are still toiling away in bizarre, straight-to-vod fare, whether it’s Seth Rollins popping up in Sharknado 4 or Dean Ambrose starring in the second sequel to a movie nobody saw. Take Kevin Nash, one-time WWE champion and founding member of the nWo. Though he’s made appearances in a number of fine films, including Magic Mike Xxl and The Punisher, he’s not above starring in a food-themed Saw parody alongside fellow pro wrestlers/Bullet Club members Luke Gallows, Amber Gallows ...

WWE’s annual Extreme Rules PPV always finds itself full of gimmick matches such as table matches, ladder matches, street fights and things of that nature, so it’s no surprise that the 2016 version of Extreme Rules is also full of these types of matches. Sometimes it can result in overkill, other times it can result in an entertaining event. Let’s hope this event ticks the entertaining option.

So, we just had WWE Payback and now we enter a new week of WWE… Let’s go.

Raw opened this week with Shane and Stephanie talking about being co-runners of Raw. Stephanie gave Shane a photograph of Vince and Shane together as a peace offering. We are quickly approaching WWE Payback, and this week will be the “final sell” before the PPV. Let’s see what WWE can offer to get us to watch their annual May event.
Raw (25th April 2016) Results: Aj Styles pinned Sheamus Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows beat The Uso’s in their Raw debut Sami Zayn beat Rusev Apollo Crews defeated Stardust Natalya beat Emma Baron Corbin and Damien Sandow went to a no-contest Roman Reigns defeated Alberto Del Rio
After some solid shows recently, Raw seems to be in a transitional stage, like something bigger is planned and they are waiting it out. This episode of Raw wasn’t as solid in the ring compared to some recent episodes, and the promos didn’t really make any real explosions to sell Payback, but there is enough going on to make things interesting as we head into the PPV on Sunday.

Founded by Jeff Jarrett, who also launched Tna back in the day, and who famously held titles in both the WWE and WCW, Gfw was big news when first announced – but then, next to nothing happened. Was it the wrestling equivalent of vaporware? When would the fledgling promotion get off the ground?
Well, a lot of answers came today, as the promotion held a press conference at 1Pm which included a roster reveal and info on who else would be involved with the promotion, including none other than former three-time Ufc title challenger Chael Sonnen, who has long been linked to a possible pro wrestling career, and was once rumoured to have been linked to the WWE.

The world of professional wrestling has, for many years, featured hundreds of various alliances, groups of men and women who, for countless reasons, teamed together in order to achieve something that they would be unable to achieve alone. Be it a group of good guys sticking together, as friends, to take down the heels, or the bad guys forming a gang as a way to intimidate, attack and overthrow the babyfaces. It has worked for decades and continues to this very day, with factions such as The Shield and The Wyatt Family (oh… and don’t forget 3Mb) running rough-shot through WWE on their way to super-stardom. But, like I said, factions aren’t a new thing, they’ve been around for as long as steel folding chairs, brittle announce tables and sneaky managers, and this release is WWE’s look at some of the standout factions that have firmly...

“You’re either Nexus or you’re against us,” was the motto of the original Nexus group, led by Wade Barrett. In what may have been one of the most shocking debuts on WWE Raw, eight Nxt rookies made their way to the ring on June 7th, 2010, to sabotage the main event of the night, and destroy everything in its sight.
Wade Barrett was the first to make his way down the ramp and cause a distraction during the match between WWE Champion John Cena and Cm Punk. From there we saw the seven other Nxt rookies make their way to the ring through the crowd, and over the barricade. This Nexus group would first attack Luke Gallows on the outside of the ring, followed by Cm Punk. All eight members would surround the ring, and methodically plan their attack on WWE Champion John Cena, who didn’t stand a chance.

Last week we talked to makeup effects specialist/designer/horror attraction mastermind Shane Morton about his work on the new Adult Swim show Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell (and if you haven’t caught this little slice of depravity, which airs at midnight on Thursdays, what are you waiting for?). Our conversation roamed far beyond Hell, though. So, here’s a bit more with Morton, who talks about his role in building up the Southern horror scene, monster wrestling, and his time on the set of Rob Zombie’s Halloween II. FEARnet: You seem to have either found or created a lot of opportunities to work in the effects industry while remaining in Atlanta, Georgia. Has that been difficult? Shane: Not at all. Atlanta is the horror capital of the country. People ask me that all the time. The Silver Scream Spookshow (a live, horror-centric variety show) has lines around the building.

A home video release solely dedicated to the voice of the voiceless, Cm Punk, has been an extremely long awaited one for me so let’s get too it – Adam.
Main Feature
The long awaited set begins with a short, slightly cheesy, package showing Punk prepare for his day. It is something against the norm for WWE release but thinking about it, Cm Punk is against the norm for WWE TV so in that sense its effective.
Moving on and hearing Punk re tell stories from his childhood hits hard, probably because his life hasn’t been expressed in various other books or DVD sets etc. Punk recalls not wanting to stay at home and eventually being seemingly adopted by his best friends family, it’s interesting to look into a situation where someone, as strange as it may seem, was born into the wrong family.

The eighth annual Tna Impact Wrestling No Surrender PPV rolls in to the Impact Zone tonight with a card stacked to prepare for Bound For Glory. A PPV with no world title match and a champion who isn’t in the main event shows just how important it is(n’t) to the guys in Florida. So why exactly should we care? Well there’s actually a few matches on the card with great potential – let’s just hope they manage to deliver after a relatively consistent run of great events in 2012.
So let’s have a look into our magic 8 ball and see how this one’s going to pan out.

Current plans for WWE SummerSlam 2012 are for Cm Punk and The Big Show to face off in a WWE Championship match, according to F4WOnline.com. We would expect Punk to be the victor in the current feud with Daniel Bryan and retain his gold at WWE No Way Out in the Punk vs Bryan vs Kane triple threat match, with Bryan then moving on to feud with Kane over the summer, with Aj Lee also in the mix.
John Laurinaitis will likely also be involved in the Punk vs. Show feud and as we saw this week on Raw there was a re-ignition of the Punk/Laurinaitis problems with the unveiling of the WWE 13 video game front cover.
Punk and The Big Show previously fought at SummerSlam 2010 when Show defeated Punk, Joseph Mercury and Luke Gallows in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match.
Also previously spoken about for WWE SummerSlam were a Triple H vs.
