Former UFC fighter Phil Baroni has been arrested after he allegedly beat his girlfriend to death for sleeping with another man.
Baroni, 46, reportedly threw his girlfriend, identified as Poala, into a shower in their hotel room in Mexico, causing her to endure a fatal head injury. Police found her naked on a bed in the San Pancho hotel with a sheet covering her.

Law enforcement officials said the woman showed “multiple signs of beating,” including bruises and markings on her face and body. She showed no signs of life when she was discovered by authorities. Police also took pictures of Baroni’s hands, noting that they were red.

Last month, the notorious former Ufc and Bellator fighter Phil Baroni was making a lot of noise about receiving an invite from the WWE to come down to WrestleMania and talk about a future with the company. Baroni, it seemed, had been training for a pro wrestling career over the past several months. The WWE would later deny the comments, but Baroni certainly garnered some attention from the story.
While there appears to be no truth to the Baroni rumours, another former Ufc talent is indeed getting a tryout with the WWE in May: Matt Riddle, a fairly popular mid-card fighter who became notorious outside the octagon for butting heads with Ufc President Dana White.
Riddle is certainly something of a character, and has surrounded himself with the right trainers to make a run in the WWE. He has been training for months at The Monster Factory in New Jersey,...

Former Ufc and Bellator fighter Phil Baroni has challenged former WWE star Cm Punk to a Mma match. The 38 year old called Punk out on social media, with the idea of the fight taking place in Bellator.
“I’ll bust you up. Call Coker , move da f****** needle. Wa Wa 3H was mean to me. Vince owes me. Wa Wa. . Your gona love Mma and @Danawhite it’s so fair ova here. Ryback hurt you? I’ll break your f****** Neck #whineybitch” Baroni wrote on Instagram.
He later added, “I’ll Smash his whiny bitch ass… @cmpunk WWE is so mean 2 me.”
Baroni was smart here. He’s a washed up fighter who last fought for Bellator in July 2014. He’s lost his last three Mma fights and should really be retired.
However, by lashing out at Cm Punk, Baroni has created some relevancy for himself. If the...

Mixed Martial Arts, in its current inception, is a sport. When it began 20 years ago, it wasn’t. Not because it was more violent, which it was, but because it wasn’t conceived or presented as a sport. It was designed, in equal parts, as an earnest attempt to pit one martial arts style against another and as a violent spectacle. The Ufc was started, essentially, as a live-action martial arts infomercial by the Gracie family, the pioneers of Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, who were anxious to demonstrate their vastly superior style against all comers, as they had been doing in Brazil for half a century. Matches generally weren’t the brutal blood-sport people might expect. More often than not, they were simply ugly fights between frequently unskilled competitors.

Every reality show needs a villain.
The Apprentice had Omarosa, The Real World had Puck, Top Chef had Marcel and who could forget Johnny "Fairplay" from Survivor: Pearl Islands. Reality television villains are such a guilty pleasure for the viewing masses that producers of Survivor and The Real World/Road Rules Challenge have entire seasons dedicated to these miscreants. The Ultimate Fighter is no different as the elventh season found its villain in Jamie Yager.
It's not like anyone didn't see Yager's impending casting as archfiend coming. The prior three episodes featured a heavy dose of "Yager's a dick" foreshadowing and this week the producers cashed in with two confrontations.
The first incident involves Jamie's actions from last week's fight. Nick Ring, of Team Punishment, takes exception to Yager (his teammate) cheering on Team Liddell's Brad Tavares. Ring confronts Jamie after Tavares wins the fight and Nick dresses Yager...
