Leela Savasta was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. She is also a
dual citizen with the United States.
Savasta stars in the Showcase original drama series

Additionally, she played recurring roles in NBC's award winning drama
Battlestar Galactica (2004)

Chris Haddock crime drama series
Intelligence (2005). Leela has
earned Guest Starring credits for her work on "CSI Miami",

Eureka (2006) and Stargate: Atlantis.

Chris Pine, Leela shines in the
romantic comedy "This Means War", directed by

and scheduled for 2011 theatrical release.
After Leela's acting debut on the hit series
Smallville (2001), she booked her
first leading role on the Showtime mini-series
Masters of Horror (2005).
Soon after, she was offered another leading role in the film
A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story (2006),
directed by Oscar Nominee,
